Mandisa, who competed on season 5 of "American Idol" and went on to become a successful Christian Gospel recording musician. has died. She was 47 years old.
Mandisa, who was born Mandisa Lynn Hundley, finished ninth on the "American Idol" season that was won by Taylor Hicks and also gave us Katharine McPhee, Chris Daughtry and Kellie Pickler.

Agreed. The key is giving God the thanks, credit and glory. God spoke the world into existence. What is speech? Frequency. Science says that everything is made of frequency. Who made all this? God did. New Agers work very hard to gain benefits to mind and body without God, but they have to use God's resources, tools and abstracts like logic and numbers to do it. God instructs us to steward what God gives us... well... to take dominion of the Earth... to be fruitful and multiply. We manipulate God's creation to make all kinds of products and some are used sinfully and some are used righteously and in a God honoring way. What's the difference? Our motives. God wants us to use His creation to love... actively serving God. The New Ager serves himself only... his idol of self. Whenever we elevate our opinion above God's, then we just committed the same sin as the new ager... idolatry of self. But we are forgiven and are free to use red light therapy, saunas, oxygen therapy , cold water plunges, CT scans, vitamin c, aspirin, sun light, chicken noodle soup, and going to the beach .... any and all to improve our health of mind, body and soul. God gives us a seat at His table with maximum benefit of His wisdom, Holy Spirit power and leading while the New Ager gets the crumbs. The New Ager is much more diligent is seeking ways to benefit himself because he can only rely on himself. He has no Godly hope or help. We Christians.... we are a little lazy sometimes and rely on God to bail us out of problems when God would have us be better stewards and not get in the jam to begin with. So, rather than eat junk and expose ourselves to chemicals that cause cancer.... we should eat better and protect our bodies. We are creatures of comfort and ease, so the hard work that it takes to be a good steward doesn't always get put in. God made the chakras and the maps/links to the entire body that acupuncturists use in the foot, hand, and ear. Eastern medicine practitioners have learned about energy flow through the body and ways the energy can be stopped and freed up again. God made all of this. Our motives, worldview, and acknowledgements make all the difference in the world in whether what we do in sinful or God honoring. Hopefully, I was able to persuade you or get you to think about it a little differently.

What has that got to do with her death? She was overweight and suffered from depression. A heavy heart can lead to anxiety and even heartache. Who knows what happened but to constantly blame the chiropractor is so unfair.

I've met Mandisa on the Klove Cruise 2015 and she the sweetest person and got to know her on level of being Sister's in Christ. She is good friends with my pastor's. Everything she was on my city i took tube to talk to her! I'm going to miss her so much! She's inspired me so much❤️❤️❤️

Her death is very sad. She suffered from depression, loneliness and lacked self-love, she was very down on herself because of her weight and was looking for help. She believed so much in Jesus but for some reason she felt this chiropractor had the answers to her mental health issues. Listening to the video she was excited and happy that she finally found help but it was the wrong help. The police are investigating.

I am a chiropractor. That is not chiropractic. I teach my patients that yes, spiritual is part of health, but to use the mind and emotions for accessing the spirit, and linking it to the body is a window for the enemy, and far outside the scope of chiropractic.

Have you ever heard of aspirin from the Bible? Or vitamin C? What about chicken noodle soup? What about CT Scans? Just because the Bible doesn't mention it... that doesn't mean it is to be avoided. God wants us to use all the tools and resources on this Earth for our benefit and for the benefit of others AND give God the glory, credit and praise. New Agers use God's creation sinfully by not acknowledging the Triune God of the Bible. Christians are instructed to meditate on God's Word but the Bible doesn't tell us all the mind/body benefits of doing so. New Agers use science and information but it's not the full benefit that Christians get by following the Holy Spirit and doing things God's way. The Bible teaches positive thinking but New Agers do it to... but they don't give God the thanks, praise and glory. That's the difference.
Have you ever walked into a room and mood is off or the tension is so high that you can sense something is very wrong.... without one spoken word. That's vibrational energy. Every positive and negative thought creates a frequency that is either destructive/negative or "growth promoting"/positive. This is science. Quantum physics is all about frequency and science says that everything is frequency. How did God create? He spoke.... or used frequency. It's the foundational building block for God's creation. The demons use God's creation sinfully. New Agers use it sinfully. God wants us to use it in ways that is pleasing to Him. The demons didn't create logic but they use it because God does and makes it available for us to use too. The demons didn't create numerology, but they use it because God does and we can too. We can use science, knowledge and wisdom to be good stewards of our bodies and resources that God gave us. The key is giving God the credit and glory.

I was into all this and let me tell you, the doors this opened and the literal hell on earth, deepest darkness this brought me to before the Lord delivered me, I almost took my life several times. Sometimes people are dealing with generational things or perhaps bad experiences growing up. The most important thing is to bring them before the Lord and allow Him to deal with them. I have lived a life of service. It did not stop the depression. It doesn't mean that I did not benefit. It means that people know less than they think about depression. We are all beautifully blessed, even when we have depression, have diabetes, heart attacks, whatever. One can lead a life of service yet still get a cancer diagnosis.

The Lord told me that Mandisa was with Him, resting. Mandisa needed deliverance even though she was saved. When we sin, we can be possessed, but the spirit of rejection and depression can also enter us through trauma, especially in childhood. You can be saved and still be tormented by evil spirits. I also had a spirit of rejection; so, I know what I'm talking about. We can cast them out in the name of Jesus, sometimes, fasting can help. What makes New Age practice a sin? Isn't it because they are sinfully using God's creation for their own benefit without giving God the thanks, praise, credit and glory? New Agers use science for their own benefit and it is sinful because of their motives. Christians can sin the same way, but Christians can follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and give God honor and glory while doing the same thing and it not be a sin. Our motives make the difference. God did not create us to go it alone & many times other Christians can be well meaning but do more harm than good when it comes to mental/emotional health or related traumas. Wow, this is a very sensitive subject for you and lots of other people as well. You have a unique perspective having been involved on a much deeper level than most can relate to. I would like to make an appeal to you and see if you agree or might add some insights. "New Age" is very broad and includes many practices that are clearly sinful. My main point is to address "why" it is sinful. My views are subject to change , but today, my view is that our motives largely determine whether something is sinful or not. The New Ager doesn't recognize the Triune God of the Bible, but many of them acknowledge a power "source" or "intelligence". The New Ager's biggest idol is themselves... and Christians have the same problem (except we are forgiven and have the Holy Spirit). Whenever we elevate our opinion above or equal to God's then we have made ourselves an idol. The New Ager is diligent to use God's creation for personal benefit without giving honor to God or serving God in the process.... which is sinful by way of motives of the heart.
God created the world with speech. He spoke it into existence. Speech is frequency. Science says everything is frequency supporting the Biblical narrative. Our motives appear to determine whether something is sinful or not. We can use common sticks to sin and assault people or to use them in a God honoring way. Our motive is key. God has made us stewards of our bodies and the resources He gives us, so we are to manage them well. Wise management is using God's creation, knowledge and understanding in serving God or by working within His Will. God did not tell us in the Bible that vitamin C, chicken noodle soup, aspirin, or CT scans can be beneficial and good to use. The same goes for direct Sun light, red light therapy, oxygen therapy, cold water plunges, saunas, stretching, etc... There are somethings the Bible mentions or teaches but doesn't explain the mind/body benefits... such as meditating and positive thinking. The Bible tells us to meditate on His Word and Phil 4:8 tells us to think about thinks that are good, lovely and of good report. The New Ager/worldly man gets some benefit from meditating and positive thinking but not as many benefits as the Christian because the Christian has the Holy Spirit and God's favor. So, again, it appears to be our motives that determine whether it's sinful or not.
It's not wrong to eat a steak, and Paul says it's not wrong to eat a steak sacrificed to idols. However, it is wrong to sacrifice to idols , and it's wrong to eat the steak in front of a Brother who thinks it's a sin ... even though it isn't really a sin. It's the conscience of the weaker brother that we should be concerned about. But it appears to be fine to eat the same steak in private. I think we can apply some of this to New Age medicine or "energy medicine". God made us and the energy pathways in our bodies... maybe even the chakras. However, the demons try to get us to rely on ourselves rather than God and the demons use "hidden knowledge" to atttract us away from the narrow path of Christian living.
If all truth is God's truth, and if God values our wise use of knowledge and understanding , and He encourages us to seek for the answers and solutions while asking Him to help us thorugh prayer... Then, with the right motives, is it permissible and God honoring to use the research of energy medicine for improving our health of mind and body?
Demons clearly use God's creation for their own wicked schemes, but it is the scheme that is wicked .... not the "creation" or tool the demons use to carry out their scheme. Or that is the way it appears to me. Obviously, summoning demons and witchcraft is sin. The question is "why?". One, because God says so. That's simple, but "why?" I believe it is our motives. The witch, New Ager, and common non Christian man all seek to please themselves before God. Some are more hateful and resistant to God than others, but it kind of all comes back to idolatry of self... in my opinion.
Reiki practice appears to be imparting "energy" through one person to another, and in some cases, the source of the energy may be spiritual and not of God... where the practitioner is actually the tool or instrument that the spirit beings funnel energy through. On the other side, apparently, our bodies have energy that can be imparted to other people without demonic assistance and without sinning. When we touch someone's hand, a frequency or energy is transferred. The human touch is comforting in many ways. We don't see the energy transfer, but we feel it.
I would be very interested to hear your take on it... as it's complicated and tricky to navigate all this. But ... I just keep coming back to motives as the key. Maybe I'm wrong. I just want the truth.

Different colored lenses do serve various purposes such as yellow lenses for night driving, amber lenses to block out blue light from devices at night, but the energy piece is dicey & a slippery slope. Infrared therapy can heal tissue at a deep tissue level. Different colored backgrounds can help one see & focus better when reading on electronic devices. Those w/reading issues related to Irlen syndrome use various colored transparency sheets over a page to help their eyes focus better. It has to do with light wave lengths. However, using colored glasses to change energy paths to somehow help with mental & emotional issues seems like a whole other thing. I don't know enough about it. Perhaps different shades of lenses have more of a calming affect on the brain, just like we all have favorite colors & like to paint our homes in colors that are calming or soothing or that inspire us. Colors are not sinful. Look at the world God created & the colors of nature.
The problem lies in what spirit is behind a thing? Many new agers use Christian speak in things they do, but they are not serving Jesus.
I guess one should always do their own research. Melissa Dougherty has a You Tube channel & is a former New Ager. She knows a lot about that stuff. She is now a born again believer.
So why Mandisa just happened to make this video the day before she died is a mystery. It sounds like she was going to have this doctor on her weekly podcast?? At the very least, it sounds like this guy was practicing outside of his scope of practice if he was treating her for mental or emotional conditions aside from pain related to her physical issues.
Not sure that clears anything up or answers your questions. Jesus is the ultimate healer. He can use doctors, therapists, chiropractors, etc. , but in the end He is the healer. We just have to be wise, do our research & find out the "roots" of any energy practice used.

Instead of judging her in her death, why not pray that The Most High comforts and surrounds her family during their time of sorrow. They are hurting and the last thing they need to see is people making unkind remarks about Mandisa and her passing.

My comment is not necessarily about Mandisa but the christian community as a whole. We have grown to be more emotional and far away from being spiritual. That's why spiritual issues are now being given diagnosis such as "mental health". Don't misinterpret me as being insensitive or apathetic, and the fact that I must use a disclaimer is also telling.
Instead of knowledge, repentance and deliverance, many choose to nurse and medicate demons. Otherwise, why is it that more and more christians are dealing with "mental health", only managing it and clearly unable to "heal", biggest exits being self-check out?
If this generation went back to Jesus days healing the demon possessed in the bible, or Saul's spiritual torment as his judgement, they would have probably "diagnosed" them with things like depression and schizophrenia, instead of demon possession.
There are clear signs of spiritual weakness, and prolonged struggle with your mind and emotions is in the top class.. Yes, lack of true repentance and not hearing the True Gospel as well as compromising The Word of God and engaging in New Age practices can lead to mental health issues or cause what you are already dealing with to get worse.
