Trains At Bristol Temple Meads 1991

- Having been to an open day at both Bath Road and St Philips Marsh Depots earlier in the day, I filmed a few of the workings at Temple Meads before catching my train home, all filmed with my old Panasonic M7. Enjoy.

That was the day when St Phillips Marsh and Bath Rd had their open days remember it well. I went to Cardiff to do a bit of spotting and maybe arrived back in Bristol on that 158 near the end of your video. Remember seeing 47363 on a north bound cross country, must have been just after you finished recording, oh happy days. Many thanks for posting great video.
I was a 11 year old boy and god i can still see it now. The old badgerline X39 from Bath and cityline buses with that 47 going out and Bath Road busy how Bristol Has changed. Nice video thank you
nice video mate. brings back good memories from back in the day. gotta love the enormous video cameras and the absolutely terrible clothing that everybody was sporting!!!! haha

I must admit my old M7 took some carrying about, it was like carrying a suitcase everywhere I went to film at various locations, and yes how dresswear has changed over the last 24 years, who knows what people will be wearing in the next 20 odd years or so ??, cheers...Bill

Class 150s BR sprinters with the running man logo, to day the 150 is still in service in Arriva wales livery.

Good footage, fair play to GWR for putting a class 43 back in IC Swallow livery, but it's a shame that the livery has pretty much disappeared.

Excellent video yet again. You could swear a steam engine had just left with some of the HST's!!!!

Those Valenta engines were extremely loud compared to the MTU's that are used these days. Won't be long before the HST's are replaced by the Class 800's. Going to miss the HST.
Cheers Daniel, the Hsts have given sterling service since their introduction over 40 years ago. I believe that the GWR sets maybe moved to Scotland but cannot be sure. Many thanks for taking the time to view and comment. Regards...Bill

Are you sure it's 1991 I thought 150's and 158's didn't start running in that area until 1992.

I thought that 158's didn't start running on Cardiff-Portsmouth runs until 13th May 1992.
Unfortunately I have no idea when the 150s and 158s began working the Cardiff - Portsmouth services. In another video I filmed a 158 at Cardiff on the 3rd of April 1991 at Cardiff. Regards...Bill
