Emily is AMAZING. I'm an old school Linkin Park fan from the beginning. She is 100% the right choice for Linkin Park as their new singer. When I hear her voice, my brain accepts it as a Linkin Park song. It doesn't matter if she's singing Chester's parts in the old songs or doing new songs, like Emptiness Machine, she is singing her heart out and killing it. Different voice, but same energy. I can't wait to hear the rest of From Zero in November. Emily joining Linkin Park has made me go back and listen to more of Dead Sara. I was aware of Dead Sara previously, but I had only heard a few of their songs. They're actually really great, and a regular talent on the Warped Tour. I hope Emily finds time to continue singing for both bands. If you haven't listened to much music by Dead Sara, stop reading this comment right now and go do some research on them. 21 years ago, these guys released the album that was probably the one I listened to the most in my entire life. Now, 21 years later, after several other remarkable releases over the years and judging by the first song they've put out so far, and by the amazing vibe and harmony of the band’s new lineup, I have every reason to believe that the album of my next 21 years is about to be released.
In this video I got a better impression of Emily as part of the band and as a friend of the guys. In the interview with Zane Lowe and at the first show she seemed quieter, without much interaction. Here she seems much more relaxed - a member of Linkin Park.
