It took me a minute to be sold on Emily cause of obvious reasons but I’ve come to really like her and I think this breakdown is kind of a reflection of how your past doesn’t define you, people change, expectations of those around you etc. but outside of that, it’s cool seeing the older band members still in it look so happy to be back out there; like they genuinely look so excited and happy to be back on stage.
“I only wanted to be part of something” is like Emily is responding to the haters who don’t want to see her in the place of Chester. Like, she’s just wanted to be part of Linkin Park. Genius lyrics indeed.
I love the way they change up the lyrics in the chorus, it reminds me of breaking the habit with the lines "I don't know why I insitgate, I know it's not allright" and "But now I have some clarity, to show you what I mean , I'll never be alright"
I love how they sang a few verses, and then explained what each one means to them and how they can relate to it. I think all of us LP fans can relate to their lyrics in different ways. The message of the song resonates differently with everyone according to our own life experiences. And that’s why they’re so popular and successful.
In 2017 when I heard about Chester I was struggling with my mental problems. Somehow it gave me the idea. I was hoping to die. I called one friend and said that I wanted to give up. I took a whole pack of Paracetamol and was lying in bed. One policeman and two paramedics knocked on the door. My friend called 112. They forced me to go to a nearby hospital. I remember I was in the ER when it was turning to 2018. Fireworks in the sky and I heard nurses were celebrating New Year. Anyway, It's good now to see the band is back with a new vocal. Chester must have been happy about it if he knew. Life goes on.
I've had probably around a dozen attempts and have dealt with hospitals, paramedics, and police all the same. It's always a real harrowing experience. I'm glad you made it out and that you're still here.
Emily's chemistry with Mike is where the magic lies. I mean there are lots of bands where the artists are super talented and they hated each other and yet make awesome music. LP isnt like that, their magic lies in the chemistry and friendship the band members have for all these years and Emily seem to pass that check!
The morning after the song came out, I woke up, opened UA-cam and literally cried when Emily sang her part. It was a really well-chosen introduction, because it just triggered so much hope and happiness in me that it just burst out in tears.
I love their chemistry, also it's so nice to see her next to Mike. I Love that her humour is dry as fudge just makes me like her more. Linkin Park is da best thank you so much Mike, Emily, Joe Brad Colin, and Dave for this new era❤❤🩹🤘🤘

Will be flying to Indonesia 🇮🇩 to see them this February. I saw them back in Philippines in 2013 during their Living Things World Tour.🇵🇭
When the album came out, I listened to it in the evening at work (I work as a caretaker) and the next day my neck hurt. Love it.
I love the way they change up the lyrics in the chorus, it reminds me of breaking the habit with the lines "I don't know why I insitgate, I know it's not allright" and "But now I have some clarity, to show you what I mean , I'll never be alright"
Welcome back Linkin Park
God I love her voice. So happy for LP.
I heard this song on the radio today and instantly had to look up the meaning of emptiness machine… 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love them so much, I'm so happy that Mike is happy ❤
It's glad to see Mike so happy. And Emily is very likeable person, they have a nice vibe together.
Such an excellent way to start this new era of Linkin Park!
TEM is one of the best songs LP has ever written! Fact. - it's now my ringtone.
I love Emily so much ugh 🤌🏻😻
When they sing in harmony, it's just awesome, I love 💕 their chemistry, they are like siblings now.
Can’t get enough of emptiness machine, it’s so addicting ❤🔥🤘🏻
6:00 - Their harmonization is great here, their voices really compliment each other.
I love how they sang a few verses, and then explained what each one means to them and how they can relate to it. I think all of us LP fans can relate to their lyrics in different ways. The message of the song resonates differently with everyone according to our own life experiences. And that’s why they’re so popular and successful.
0:28 that’s what I actually thought while listening to this song
I hope you feel a bit better now, I'm glad that you survived and that you can see them back. Take care :)
I'm happy you made a good recovery and are still here💕
Powerful story. I'm glad you're still with us.
Wow you hit the nail on the head
The morning after the song came out, I woke up, opened UA-cam and literally cried when Emily sang her part. It was a really well-chosen introduction, because it just triggered so much hope and happiness in me that it just burst out in tears.
Well, after not wanting to believe I could listen to LP anymore, I tried, and that's why I am here.....what a voice and song....❤
im so excited to see them live in august :)))
Me too
I could listen to these to talking about music for hours

This was beautiful to see them like this. First time for me. Thank you
I love their chemistry, also it's so nice to see her next to Mike. I Love that her humour is dry as fudge just makes me like her more. Linkin Park is da best thank you so much Mike, Emily, Joe Brad Colin, and Dave for this new era❤❤🩹🤘🤘
