Been having the same issue with my 06 Jetta, tried everything else fluid, brake sensors etc. Has to be the switch for sure thank you for showing this video!
Yep same here I narrowed it down to the brake light switch.... But now they just stay on solid, as before they worked properly but stayed on after I parked. Now they just constantly stay on like im riding the brakes🤷♂️. Maybe I have to adjust the spring or wrong Part
1:43 Just carefully not to damage anything - flicks the plastic panel on to the floor ... But still a good video, I just 'repaired' the switch in my Seat Leon. The light wasn't coming on unless you really stamped on the pedal. It also wasn't switching off the cruise. Took the switch out cleaned it and reset it by pulling the rod back out. Working normally again, hopefully it'll stay like that.
Dude!!! its a good video, the only thing I see wrong, is that the title says < How to repair... Not How to replace> I was waiting for you to pull a little magic!!! on how to fix them, your video is good though, Keep it up
Edgar Parfan i have an a4 2005 b6 which is kind of a bitch to find exact parts, an aftermarket one didnt work and audi stopped making the one for my car. what i ended up doing was i sprayed pb50 in the switch and it works fine now.
Got a 07 Jetta 2.5 with the master cylinder stop light switch, replaced and lights are still stuck on also pedal is stiff at low revs, gotta throw rear breaks on so going to bleed all of it when I do that but I'm not sure why vw didn't stick to this design had to tear a ton of crap out of the way to get the switch on this ..

I got a Skoda Octavia I changed my switch but the fault is still ther. What else can it be.
Remove the switch. Do the lights go off? If yes then it's something wrong with the switch
I got same thing
@@algisjanulevicius5276 i changed 4 switches... Non of them worked

I have the same problem on my Octavia 2006 mod now. Did you ever find out the problem?
My inner brake light not working both of them and the third brake light
Next load q7
Strange that your brake light is the inner light, whereas my A3 is outer side
What part number was this?
open the switch, mine had grease on the slide contacts
