His brother Dennis said" if only 10 % of what Terrance said was true, it would still be incredible"

Jacob Jorgenson i think Dennis knows that 10% is really 99.9%.. so sad 😭 he died too early. Thanks to him I will try Ayahuasca. Love ❤️ you Terrance Mackennay

I remember Terence saying something like: "well what is really true" , or what is "the truth" of nature. Terence, though never been a true scientists, understood how science workes and had great respect for it. He got aware how mind boggling the depths of quantenphysics and relativity are. He had great ideas to express and my world would certainly be a bit more empty, if I could not have listen to him. Nobody knows any truth and what counts is personal experience.

Actally that was what 13yrs Terence said to his mom when he first read Huxley's Doors of Perception. He then decided to read all of his books.

33:55 every generation sees the generation they create as more childish than previous generations. Uptimately it leads to the conclusion that we never needed to grow up.

He speaks of 3 1/2 or 4 billion people . . . maybe he's referring to just those who have been relieved of communist oppression although I think he meant the entire population. If the latter, he was half right. Population is now, 9/2018, up to eight billion on the way to nine or ten. From there it is supposed to turn around, drop lower.
He was such an erudite visionary and so well grounded in science, futurism, technology, history, and the psyche of civilizations . . . his talks deal with issues we are confronted with today. Most of his talks seem to be related to the news this week. He's been gone almost twenty years yet he saw our technologies - VR, cellphones, world networks - the noosphere - our behaviors and problems it creates as if he was still here, watching. Actually . . . thanks to these wonderful videos, he IS still here.
Such an articulate, honest, a future-seeing human being who enjoyed purveying his vision with such humor. Terence we miss you.
Whoever was responsible for the carelessness of not protecting his library better - I can't think of an appropriate punishment. Drowning in boiling in Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup . . . just one idea.

Most hominids are asleep - in hate, regret n’ incessant wanting. That said, even when I became more aware n awakened I was still stuck in those three truths. I feel more ‘love’ now yes. But this linear life is the same for us all. Sacred substances allow us to dip n tap into bliss whenever we need respite. Feel more love. No matter what. Peace.

All great ape groups haves alphas, only the alpha mates. There was the mighty and meek, and it worked out for both. It also seems like great apes ( including humans) have genetically implicated alphas ( gorilla alphas have silver backs and huge skulls that lead to a crown). But for millenia people have been allowed to mate. Maybe its the right thing. But it comes with a price

I used to agree with TM-"we are in a race between education and disaster" but now disagree. The masses are far too slow to educate in the manner required. Combine this fact with the malignant, narcissistic inertia of governments, and it equals global disaster. Never in our past have we educated for a wiser world. We just go from global disaster to global disaster, most organism's are wiped out, and then nature rebuilds.

I’ve also heard other talks where he says (and I would guess it was in the late 80’s) that 100 years from now there will be no humans left on earth. So that would make it clear which side of the race he thinks is going to win

I’m not optimistic. Too much inertia in the direction of power, greed and corruption. A planet wide natural or man made disaster would be a mercy killing at this point. The things that most human beings strive for are meaningless.
