To be honest; if Mogrul became his steward that would be the funniest shit ever. I mean he roams around Raven Rock threatening to kill and maim people for not paying their debts. But then an earth-shattering scream *"WHERE'S MY TEA!?!?!"* is heard from the other side of the island and he whimpers, drops everything and runs as fast as he can back to the big mushroom.
Perhaps so. He was originally slated to be a target for the Morag Tong in Morrowind, but the quest was cut from the game. So technically this man avoided a writ of execution, before it was ever written, because it was never written. If you get me.
Bralsa Drel has an interesting dialogue regarding this quest. If we clense Earth stone and ask Bralsa to be a steward, She will ask to give her a skooma to convince. But even after giving a Skooma she will ran towards the mine saying "Skooma! Lovely skooma. But I'd sooner give it up than go work for him. That dunmer is crazy!"
Brewing this man a decent cup of canis root tea is the least he deserves for going berserker and defending Solstheim after Miraak and his dragon are waiting for you outside Nchardak.
This is true. For all his ego may annoy some people, he's one of the few characters who has demonstrated it's well-warranted. Neloth is too useful to expect to be humble.
One of the only quest givers/character involved in a questline who leaves their home and helps out. Honestly, I think only the Skaal are aware of us saving Solstheim
2:59 that sounded like another Easter Egg about the Mudcrab Merchant. Considering that same creature is also present in Solsthiem. I wouldn't be surprised if Neloth had a thing or two to buy something bizarre from that mudcrab.

He tried to drink ash as part of his experiments to learn to conjure ash spawn or it was one of the string of experiments how he learned to summon ash guardians. I reversed pickpocketed skooma to one of the Dunmer that was technically eligible and she still denied wanting to be a steward and so the only real one that you could pick is Drovas.
Which is a bit silly if you ask me. There should be multiple solutions for a quest like this. And Dravas should only be the "minutemen"-option (the one no one picks unless they messed the other options up).
So rumors around neloth take his apprentice heart, talking to mudcrab, trying to import white mammoth alive, drink ash, wow. With that rumors in modern world he will be cancelled in no time.
