Sra.
Once again a big thank you for all the lovely reviews. I am unbelievably busy and have no time to answer individual questions which I also get by emails and messages etc, every single day from all over the world. I will just say quickly here, the water drip feed is simply a 2way gang valve from an aquatic pet shop. Bit of tubing and an empty milk bottle. The drill I mainly use is a micromotor, Google it :-)The burs are a variety of diamond, stone and rubber, they all do different things depending on speed, pressure, wet, dry, worn out or new. You just have to experiment and practice. I have a large dust extractor as well as using the mask. Using water minimises dust levels considerably. Have a good light over the glass so you can see it when it is wet. Have fun and take care. ♥
Как всегда супер и на высоте вот это шедевр ! Делать такие вещи могут только очень одаренные и творческие люди, с добрым сердцем и чистой душой. И ещё вы просто Красавица !
Hello Mrs Lesley hope am correct,am from Tanzania I have been following all of your projects and I have also started engraving the only problem is that most tools are available abroad and not in my home country,be blessed and always grateful for your work
I use the same tools as a dental technician. If you have dentists there and technicians that make the false teeth, then you can ask where they get their tools. Also nail artists use a similar tool.
@@glassengraver Thanks for your recommendation Mrs Lesley Pyke I will start the follow up as soon as possible may I get your email address ii you don't mind
If you go to my website www.lesleypyke.com you can see the contact details there. You can order burs from me, but any other questions about engraving glass you will need to join my teaching channel www.patreon.com/glassengraving

Thanks. I have used a large variety of diamond burs, but the wheels are rubber. Many questions are asked and asnwered on my Glass Engraving Club page on Facebook.
Can you tell me how do you start off getting the wording straight on the glass ..especially when its curved ......awesome work by the way ...and thanks for sharing Dave:O)
beautiful work! I want to start learning to engrave. i want to start of with the letterings . Do you have any videos to show how you engrave your letters in the glass? many thanks
Thanks for your reply Lesley, I too would be interested in seeing a demonstration of engraving text, this is where I've decided to start. until I can improve enough to try some of your other works. if you already have this covered can you please leave a link, thanks.
Thanks Lloyd, no I've never used a Dremel. If I had £1 for every time I am asked these questions.... LOL..... All these questions and many more are answered on my teaching channel www.patreon.com/glassengraving
HI Brad, no it is not dangerous, really and no I have never cut myself. I think in 30 years only twice did I drill right through the glass, both times it was very very thin in the area I was engraving on a curvy vessel, whereas it was thicker in the other areas, I had not expected the variation and I think in both cases it was very cheap hand blown glass.
How long have you been doing this, and what made you decide to try glass etching? I also wondered if you've ever broken a piece whilst working on it? You do amazing work, I love it.
I'm having a hard time finding a decent rubber bit for polishing. The burs I bought seem to disentegrate when I try to polish my etched glass, leaving little rubber shavings all over my work. I tried turning the speed down on my micro motor and that did not solve the problem. Could it be that my burs are too soft? Thank you, I love your work.
If you visit my website you can see it roughly on the Techniques page. I have not had a chance to put a more detailed picture of it, I will endeavour to do so.
Hi Lesley, thanks for the advice, although you seem to be digging fairly deep into this bottle, As a newbie Glass engraver I'm concerned about the glass shattering, does this not affect your patterns and how deep would you go into a glass for example?
Amazing work and informative tips, thanks for sharing Lesley... Well I'm off to fleeBay to buy some burs and destroy some of wifey's glassware... hehehe... :)
