very simplified answer: PQF = # of eligible United FLIGHTS flown … think F for Flights PQP = amount of eligible spend aka POINTS you accrue … think P for Points
Just a couple of corrections ... Premier 1k gets 280 plus points, in addition to the 40 after obtaining Platinum for a total of 320. 1k is not the 1st to board, but yes, they do preboard, albeit the last group.
The issue I have with United status is that there’s no PQP earning bonus for status unlike AA. To me that’s a key motivator for bothering with status is making it easier to re qualify each year
Every flight earns PQP. Upgrading your class earns more PQP for the same flight. I kind of think that it should be based on miles flown. It’s seems easier to follow than the PQP thing. I always hit my PQF and then the PQP is playing catch up. I’m at 36 PQF currently but just over 10,000 PQP.
@pointsadvisor, the numbers you quote for earning max points, are they based on actual United only flights? Or can a person earn the same amount on a Star Alliance Partner?
It’s useful for people who can’t read (due to vision impairment or disability) and multi-talkers who will listen to this video and clean/work or lazy ppl.
Global Services didn't used to be something you could earn straight out. They granted it to their best customers and it wasn't credit card related. Please elaborate if you have something additional to share.
@@jasonwilson9406 it’s invite only, and data points suggest requires a $50,000 annual spend. However you can simply buy it at the beginning of the year with the $50,000 commit on a corporate account.
what the heck are PQF PQPs and how do you earn them

Super informative. Also, you blinked like two and a half times the entire video.
Oops haha. I use a prompter cause I’m bad at memorizing. I guess I don’t blink when I read 😬
Am I able to use some miles and pay the difference for a flight if I don't have enough miles?
how do you add points from a flight someone else bought for me
Thanks for uploading. I wish I knew this earlier. I’m currently traveling overseas (rn in SE Asia) but my home is Houston. I just signed up today!

Do I have to pay per month/year to use this program?
No fee.
Here because I'm a delta loyalist, but have to take a work trip via United. I just got accepted into their status match program.

You forgot about Global Services with United.
