My pleasure Jillian, thank you again for dropping by and watching!
What a nice haul Really enjoyed watching Thanks Shy Have an awesome week !
Aw, thank you so much and you have an awesome week too! 🙂
Love the shopping 🛒 !! 😊
Me too! 🥰 Thank you Cecilia!
Lovely video, beautiful plants! The parts of the Tephrocactus are called segments I think (at least in German they are called that way), it's the same with the parts of epiphytic cacti like Rhipsalis and Epiphyllum. And the Aloe plicatilis (its sooo gorgeous!) is also called Kumara plicatilis I think, just in case someone sees it with another name - it's the same plant :)
Ahh Janine, thank you for sharing your knowledge! I'm learning so much from everyone's comments! 💕
Love your shopping for plants! I would love an Alocasias Infernalis! Wow! What a colour! Looking forward to your next vid!!
Thanks Francke! Isn't the infernalis just magic? I love it so much 😍
An awesome haul!
Thank you! I love them all! 🥰🌵
People shouldn’t care about prices that you have paid for plants. What matters most is that you bought what caught your eyes and heart…..❤
Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks Kaz!
Your tephrocactus is insaneeeeee! I have a tiny one but hope mine gets as big as yours!
I'm surprised we were able to purchase one that size for so cheap! Very lucky find at Roraima 🥰
I love seeing your plant adventures thank you for sharing
It's my pleasure to share, thank you for dropping by and watching Sandra!
Hi Shy! So happy to watch this video as our first big snowstorm visits this weekend. I'm with you on names. I can't pronounce or remember plant names, but I CAN grow them so I don't care! Wonderful plant haul, I was drooling! Can't wait to see where you put them all. We need a repot video next! 😊
Exactly! As long as they grow, look healthy, and make me happy, I'm good! I'm excited about some repots too. Stay warm Molly! 🔥
The Tephro cactus is known as the paper spine cactus here in Canada and known to drop segments whenever stressed or moved or in wind or… you get the idea 😂. Good luck transplanting it!
At least it's not a cholla!
Damn, really? The wind on my balcony this season has been WILD, so maybe I should reconsider. How can something belonging to one of the toughest genera be so fragile? Thanks for the heads up!
@@the.morning.chorus propagation strategy 😂
I think Anna from Cactus Caffeine has one or two and I don't recall hers being very tall. I love her flowering videos.
Ha! Australians should file a complaint against Disney because, due to Finding Nemo, I will never not pronounce Sydney as Chydney.
That plicatilis is THE deal. It is so big and so healthy for the price. I am in east Texas, so we don't get the worst prices but we don't get the best. I found some plicatilis for sale, less than a quarter of the size of yours, very dehydrated and floppy, and it was USD 25!
And I feel you on phantom spines. I have an opuntia macrodasys... I look at it, and I feel the glochids entering my skin.
Wow 25usd is almost 40aud. Guess it depends on where in the states you are, right? Glochids! That was the word I was trying to think of the other day. I think I'm finally rid of all of them a week and half after the road trip.
@@the.morning.chorus it certainly does! Looking forward to how you stage and top dress your purchases.
Great haul!!! You showed much more restraint than I could have!!🌵🪴🌵
Love your garden, looks amazing. What would you say are the best cactus/succulent nurseries in Sydney? It’s a pity we don’t have anything like Cactus Country or Roraima
Thank you Sandy! Ooh good question. Definitely nothing like Roraima around these parts. Dural's Explosive Growth is good for larger cacti and agave specimens. Check out Altra Nursery in Mortdale- they've probably got one of the best selections of cacti/succulents for Sydney though they sell all kinds of plants. Facebook Marketplace is another option for us, but we need to search thoroughly for fair prices. Succers For Succulents, a couple-run front yard business, had fantastic options, but they recently closed. I think they're shifting to online sales soon.
@@the.morning.chorus thanks for the reply! I’ll check them out
