You could have edited out the bit at 14:55 but you didn't, and I laughed out loud. Thank you for that! ❤ You're an absolute doll with the talent to make interesting and entertaining videos. Keep on keeping on girl!

Thank you for sharing. I have indoor plants and an edible and ornamental garden and work as well, so I get how hard it is to keep up with everything. Thanks for sharing.

You must be loving all the extra space you have now. Those indoor plants aren’t looking so bad. The Dracaenas prefer a very porous potting mix or less frequent watering. Many come from dryer areas of tropical forests.
The Caladiums and Alocasias will usually grow back from their corms. Even if they look totally dead, they’re probably just dormant. They will also grow very well under your backyard shelter, providing you remember to water them. I put a weekly reminder on my mobile phone (& a second reminder for when I ignore the first one.)
Most window glass manufactured after the 1970s blocks uv rays, so you’ll have to do some research to inform your decisions.
Everything looks wonderful now you’re finished!
    Looking forward to next video.
    😺✌️

Aw thank you Christian! You know so much, and I really appreciate how you’re always willing to share your knowledge. Planning the plants for the covered area feels like a whole project on its own, but I’ll keep Alocasia and Caladiums in mind for when the time comes. It seems like windows tend to block UVB light but not UVA. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, I’m unsure how they work, but I do know that every country has its own standards and laws.
You are quite the problem solver, so I’m confident you will do well. 😉

Hi Shy! I think your indoor plants are beautiful. And some of them are probably still adjusting to their new environment. And no judgement on binning the PIA's....been there done that! Cheers!

Thank you for saying that Molly! Appreciate hearing you feel the same about decluttering and purging! Some of the saved ones are looking better even just a week later 🤞🏽

I tend to give the struggling plants away, then get frustrated when they thrive with someone else’s care, 😂.

It’s lovely in your new place how many places and environments you have to grow your different plant varieties 😀🇨🇦

It is living between a rock and a hard place, between inside plants and outside garden. Caladiums go dormant in winter, I have planted most of my Alocasias out side in the shade and they love it! The best plan I have in side is a parlour palm and bamboo palm. I am the only one who the zezee plant won’t grow for! Also dragon foot/paw/ claw is so slow growing, but again loves being planted in a semi shaded garden. I have luck with pothos in side and parlours, our house has tinted windows so very difficult with getting good light. It’s a pity you carnt get more ventilation in the jungle room and plants might be happier! Take care thanks for the video!

Right! Inside and outside plants both have different needs and require time and commitment for care- although I find working with the succulents outside has been the easiest out of everything. I bet the alocasia love the qld humidity! I wonder if that's why the zz plant is not working in your favour? I've got a regular household fan going in the jungle room, but I think it'll need something stronger.

The crunchy orchid made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣
Just your binning of them in the outdoor room in general was entertaining.
Scindapsus is one my faves too ♥️
    Thanks for the video Shy!!!
Have an amazing Sunday. Nat xx

even tho some of your plants are struggling your collection is still so lush & beautiful!! the only plants i've had any luck with indoors are monstera, snake & air plants, and that's with a lot of trial and error lol. my outdoor plants do great- unless they're being fried by the hot sun lol. my windows don't seem to let enough light in/ be in the best places.

Thanks Al! Trial and error is the way to go. The plants have to suit your environment and lifestyle. I've got the same issue with light in my house. I'll need to switch up my plants or invest in decent grow lights!

Spider mites have no souls. I've been trying to downsize my houseplant collection. I am down to just 5: a cordyline, peace lily, alocasia, raven ZZ, and a coffee tree. I keep telling myself I will sell them, and then never do. I also just keep telling myself that if I continue to mistreat them, they will die -- they are not.
I honestly don't even know how the cordyline is still alive. It's had everything... Scale, mealybug, spider mites, sun burn, hasn't been potted up in like 2 years, I leave it in standing water all week... It just keeps living.

Hahaha! Some plants will stay alive just to spite us. I know which ones they are in my collection. My hat goes off to you for getting your collection down to 5. Even with a culled collection, I still found them time-consuming to water this morning. I'll still have to keep at it to get it down to the ones I really love.
