Play this weaving through traffic...trust me it makes getting to work so much fun especially when the police are chasing you
LOL
HAHAHAHAHA
Thanks man, you made my coffee spray through my nostrils! ☺️
HAHAHAHA
Yah those tie crown vics are relentless.
2:17 One of the most epic, goosebump-inducing moments in film score history.
Han Solo has been hyping up his ride for two movies and in this scene you realize he was really underselling how badass it is.
Easily the most thrilling cue in the history of film music.
YES! When the Tie-fighter gets smashed......Best cinematic moment of my life...I was 7, I'll never forget it!
THE BEST STAR WARS SONG, PURELY FOR 2:18
Mookus YEEEESSS
Star Wars piece, or track*. A song is music with voice.
It's so good!
@@alvarostockle Is that true?
@@FiggsNeughton yes! I was being noisy tho back then, but yes, that's the way of saying it.
Han " never tell me the odds."
C-3PO: I just did!
John Williams I love you.
+Logan Wood by han solo
I know
And I love you Steve Harvey
Anthologik American Hater Telling you love someone, whilst having that name, is by the best one in the world... a bit misleading
Just saying 🤷🏽♂️
Han Solo is a hypocrite.

Episode V: “Never tell me the odds!”

"Do as I say, not as I do."
He's Corellian, pride is their way of life
Well note he never said anything about *himself* not stating the odds of something...he just said never *tell him* the odds.
C-3PO: The odds of surviving an asteroid field are 13,720 to 1!
Han: NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS
In the arcade game he says never tell me the odds first so C3PO is just being a jerk

"Chewy, lets get closer to one of the big ones." Princess and C3PO, "CLOSER!?"
I'm yet to hear a concert of this song where it gets 2:18 right, you just can't sound like that, the London Symphony Orchestra is too godly.
Seen Williams conduct the Boston pops, sounded like a studio recording.
Esteban Cuadra if a drum corps did this you’d be in for a wild ride
Just went to one, and they did it perfectly
Easy, go and watch the London Symphony Orchestra or the London Philharmonic Orchestra anytime they do one of their Sci-Fi or John Williams evenings at the Royal Albert Hall or The Barbican Theatre. They are normally on a couple of times every year £40 a ticket. I've been twice and it's like the soundtrack CD is playing YOU! Outstanding, especially when they perform Duel of Fates, that is a masterpiece. I refuse to hate The Phantom Menace because of that piece.
@@deanfox3067 just because the movies are pretty mid tier compared to the originals, doesn't mean the music isn't on par
2:18 is fucking epic but 3:26 always gives me chills... just awesome. john williams is one of the best composers if not the best of all time
Who else gets goosebumps at 2:18? Just me?....ok
0:00 Rebel fleet of one Mon Calamari ship and a few x-wings come across a star destroyer causing the Mon Calamari ship to desperately attempt to send out as many fighters as possible.
0:50 Mon Calamari ship is now severely damaged and tie fighters seem to outnumber the rebel ships.
1:18 Single X-wing fighter desperately flees into asteroid field. The pilot is stressed due to the asteroids in front and the pursing tie fighter squadron at the back.
1:59 Tie Interceptors start to catch up to x-wing
2:17 A-wing fighter approaches from behind, destroying the pursing tie fighters and tie interceptors then eventually catches up to x-wing. They both move for a counter attack destroying surviving tie fighters
2:40 Both rebel fighters emerge from asteroid field only to come out near the star destroyer from before and shortly notices them afterwards
3:05 Just as the star destroyer is about to eliminate both rebel fighters, two Mon Calamari ships come and start immediately obliterating the star destroyer
3:22 Star destroyer is annihilated and the two rebel fighters calmly go towards the two Mon Calamari ships.
3:43 On the other side of the asteroid field, a larger imperial fleet approaches, one of them being a super star destroyer.
3:56 A large figure wearing all black with a light saber to his side looks onward towards the rebel fleet.
4:08 Figure makes a single haunting breath of a inhale and exhale.
Let's find out.

...
Nope, not just you.
2:18 brings me back to my days as Dash Rendar.
I almost cried almost I love that bit
+Denise Mccafferty I played this when I was running the mile at school and I teared up. So I was running and crying at the same time.
We have captured a command post! A command post has fallen to our enemies! We are losing reinforcements...
***** Lord vader finds your lack of faith.... disturbing...
lets make this place into a scrap pile!
Yang Xiao Long Now here this, all fighters man your battle stations
For the emperor!!
We have lost this battle.
Lord Vader will NOT be pleased...
I love how the Empire's motif is put into the begining of the score. It shows the Galactic Empire in his maximum power, as a relentless, unstoppable, oppressive giant that destroys everything that opposes it with great force and efficiency.
You articulated exactly how this piece makes me feel 👍🏻
I love the part from 0:00 to 4:15
* sad 4:16 noises *
Quagmire as C-3PO: “Sir, the odds of successfully navigating through this asteroid field are approximately 2 to 1!”
Peter as Han Solo: “Never tell me the- oh, that’s okay. No, keep going, it’s cool!”
When they remade the theme at 2:17 in SOLO, I wanted to cheer so badly, it was so AWESOME
exactly why im here
I had such a loud fit when it played I got yelled at by the others going to see it
Who else smiled when this played in Solo?
Me
Max Frankow That Kessel Run scene in general got me so pumped up
Max Frankow me
Lol "kill the past" and they even reused the soundtrack
Does put a smile on my face.
holy shit that trumpet rip is godly 2:33
The legendary Maurice Murphy, principle trumpet player of the LSO for many years who started his playing career in British brass bands. Sadly, he past away in 2010 aged 75. He was a personal friend of John Williams who is said to have written particular passages for him in scores performed by the LSO because of his outstanding virtuosity
This music traumatized me when I was younger and playing Shadows of the Empire on N64 on the space mission where the Star Destroyer gets closer and closer to you.
haha
one of my favorite soundtracks in the movie
Julian Shipp Me too.
monsterjambrony you ready for rouge one
Julian Shipp Damn right! And you?
monsterjambrony fuck yeah
John Williams is the best composer ever which is why he is my favorite movie composer alongside Hans Zimmer and Jerry Goldsmith.
The best Film of the Classic trilogy and the best Soundtrack of all.
the best film of the saga
It goes from good to awesome at 2:18
LIES!!!!! IT GOES FROM AMAZING TO GODLY AT 2:18!
Wrong, it goes from godly to undescribeable at 2:18. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
John Williams is a mastermind genius super duper composer!!!!
2:18 Super cool music!
ikr
Honestly one of my favorite soundtracks ever... still just as powerful as the first time I heard it.
My all time fav Star Wars theme!
same
JESUS CHRIST THIS IS SUCH AN UNDERRATED SONG AND I LOVE IT!
im not sure any star wars song is underrated
+skeleton kampf Oh... you're right. What's your favorite Phantom Menace song?
+TheOneTrueLlama the one where Anakin says good bye to his mother
I know "duel of the fates" is way overrated...
@@theonetruellama4634 i know im late as hell but i like the "Escape from Naboo" soundtrack
Whenever I was in a big battle in any Star Wars game, it was even better when this music came on
The whole Kessel Run scene in Solo made grin like an idiot
Wuppet same
Once that main Asteroid Field theme started playing, I couldn't help but smile. Shameless nostalgia? Sure, but it's fun to indulge in it nonetheless.
yeah that kessel run part of the movie was one of the best parts. I thought it was a pretty good movie actually. People are being a little over critical I think
Alaric Niemi I enjoyed it, but mostly due to visuals and cinematography. I thought the story and characters were alright, but nothing breathtaking.
Yeah I agree, its was a "good movie" in my opinion, nothing to write home about, but still. its more star wars. It was fun, but no empire strikes back. Unfortunately there will never be a star wars as good as the originals
"Horizontal boosters. Alluvial dampers. Ow. That's not it, bring me the Hydrospanner. I don't know how we're going to get out of this one."
Anyone else here from Solo? From, y'know, THAT scene.
psychokitty444 I started to tear up a bit because this is my favorite Star Wars song.
I pumped the the air so hard and so suddenly, my dad had to turn around and ask if everything was okay. I think he thought I was having a fit.
Sooooo good :)
Me
Ugh, probably some cringe worthy stupid reference you're talking about that I don't want to hear about...
I'm surprised nobody has commented on 0:27. You can't hear this bit in the film as there is too much going on. I was in my car last night blasting this and it nearly cracked my doors when it got to this bit. Talk about 'feel the force'. Jesus.
The best movie ever in my opinion
Chris Diehl #Fact
@3:48 "I hope you know what you're doing."
"Yeah, me too."
Ladies and gentlemen, the goddamn London Symphony Orchestra!
When I clicked on the video I was like this isn’t the song but then when I heard 2:18 I was like ok this it
Am I the only one who thinks this is the best Star Wars Movie?
nope I agree
Probably.
Most people do...
lol not in the least
It's the best storyline. I'd also say, even without a Death Star attack, it has the most action too. New Hope and Return are up there, but they're not as good.
Wow, the possibility of not getting chills listening to this is approximately 3720 to 1!
2:18 The single best piece of music ever composed
John Williams really knows how to imitate the atmosphere of a scene within his songs.
THIS is a really good example.
Love the part at 1:16. It almost sounds like some sort of dance and it works fantastically in the context of an asteroid field.
Just saw Solo AMAZING movie but definitely not as good as the classic trilogy but hearing this music in the movie gave me chills
Track 6, "The Asteroid Field".... sends the 'tingles' up the back of the neck. My all-time favourite track of the whole "Star Wars" franchise. Another contender would be the title track of "Field of Dreams" by James Horner.
*sigh*..... yet another example of the brilliance of John Williams
Here, here!
I heard this in Solo film. Was amazing
I watched this movie today and missed Carrie Fisher so mush
"You don't have to do this to impress me"!
I'm a flute and Pic player. This piece is a pic. players dream.
2:17
This better be on one of those new Star Wars rides
You’ll hear Han’s voice, “Never tell me the odds”

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
one of the best tracks in a Star Wars movie ever !!! 2:17 pure magic !!!
2:18 always my favorite part
gives me nostalgia

I dunno, only if i could animate. XD
I literally got my model ships and started to play with them by that.
Cool
It is just unbelievable how Star Wars space battle is one of the best thing man (Lucas) ever created. That´s why I freaking love this sheat. Oh, nice plot by the way by you.
Got so giddy when I heard this in Solo!
Solo
That bass player playing the pizz. at 2:18 and 3:05 must have been having a blast!!
I was whistling this at work today. Dont know why it's stuck in my head.
John Williams: Star Wars's secret sauce! (Among many other things.)
"Take evasive action!"
UA-cam knows what to recommend for me!
This is Star Wars right here
The new Star Wars I am not a part of I am a person that died in Return of the Jedi
This was playing in my head as I drove through Tijuana on my way to Ensenada. Totally fit! Talk about a hair-raising experience! Here to tell the tale.
I hear this music theme running from somewhere when I'm out on my bicycle dodging traffic! Love you Jonny Williams!
R.I.P Guys on the Stardestroyer which was destroyed by an asteriod, you served the empire very well.
So good to hear this again in Solo.
He learned from the masters of history; and he is better than them.
Or just one of the masters :)
or just the ONLY master
now I am the master.
(Gustav Holst bursts in)
"You shall never be more than my apprentice "
My favorite part of this piece is at 2:57 (even though it begins at 2:18), I get ASMR every time I hear it. John Williams is a modern Master.
I love and celebrate the entire Star Wars music catalogue, but this track will always be my favorite!
'The asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses.'
This brings me way back even though I still love Star Wars
This among a few other of the songs in Star Wars soundtracks is what gave me a love of orchestral music. The asteroid field scene was always a favourite movie sequence of mine.
1:16 "No, get me the hydro-spanner. I dont know how we're going to get out of this one."
*Debris hits the falcon, the toolbox falls into the pit.*
"OW!! Chewie!"
According to my brother, who is not a Star Wars fan by any means, I was giddy like a little girl when they played this during TLJ.
Give me the wheel, SpongeBob! Give me the wheel!
Would play this as an endless loop when played Atari Asteroids back in the day 1981
1:59 - "Folks, please fasten your seatbelts, we may have some turbulence up ahead!" Flight 45, The Endor Express
Conelrad Creations I remember riding the original Star Tours at Disneyland in California! LOL The memories!
One of my favourite star wars songs!!
This is a masterpiece and 2:18 is flawless...
2:18... ugggh so much nostalgia in that one little section.
2:18 was in the Solo movie, anyone else hear it?
My favorite piece from the original trilogy, May the 4th be with you!
I can hear the dialog and all the space ship sound effects even if its absent
Easily my favorite music in Star Wars so glad they put it in the new Solo movie
Always reminds me of the intro to the SUPER STAR WARS Empire Strikes Back on Super Nintendo.
I've heard this in the first LEGO Star Wars video game where this song was in Defense of Kashyyyk, the fourth level of Revenge of the Sith!
When they played this in Solo...

Defense of Kashyyyk
I'd say the the magic of the original star wars is about 80 percent down to the genius of John Williams.
*impact, followed by toolbox hitting Han* OW!
Damn I remember those days on that one LEGO Star Wars level...I loved that level
Amazing...my favourite peice of Star Wars soundtrack ever!!
"So you wanted to be around when I make a mistake, this could be it sweetheart" - if this ain't zero fuck giving badassery, nothing else is.
0.20 sec, the sheer speed of the build up, un fucking believeable
“Sir, the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3720 to one!”

Der Anfang ist am besten.💪
2:18 Fucking love it man. Chills every time
The music is just superb
This is why this is my favorite film of all time!
