  • Jonathan Edwards presents live coverage of the 2016 Great Manchester Run. Conceived as a Manchester Commonwealth Games legacy event in 2003, the Great Manchester Run is now the nation's favourite 10km road race, with nearly 300,000 runners having taken part.
Three-time Olympic champion Tirunesh Dibaba makes her comeback in the women's elite race after becoming a mother in 2015. She will face two-time world marathon champion Edna Kiplagat in a race that will include Britain's Gemma Steel, the runner-up in last year's Great North Run.
The elite men's race includes former London Marathon winner Wilson Kipsang of Kenya and European champion Daniele Meucci of Italy.
In addition to the elite races, focus will fall on the tens of thousands of amateur runners taking to the streets and the wide-ranging reasons behind their participation.
Denise Lewis and Phil Jones report from the course, while Paula Radcliffe joins Steve Cram and Andrew Cotter in the commentary box to provide expert analysis and views on the men's and women's races.
