I'm jealous I have a M7 and I do really love it but that new game hub looks really cool.
How's the text looking like on MS word processor or Pages when connected to the Macbook? Is it okay for working several hours on the manuscripts? Would the new one Samsung M8 32 inches be better or this one would suffice at almost half the price point?

How is it holding up in terms of electrical shock? As it comes with two prong and no earthing prong. I am asking because as you know many new MacBooks have been facing the problems because apple discontinued their three prong adapters resulting in MacBooks giving little shock to their users. Does the same problem persists if you connect m8 monitor with MacBook, which as a result charges MacBook using monitor's two prong electrical supply!
Is pbp mode available from two different sources simultaneously, Like an iPad and a windows laptop ?
Hi, I received my Samsung M8 Smart Monitor today and I connect to my DELL computer by micro HDMI and connected also by USB Type C, but my computer does not recognize the SlimFit Cam from the Monitor and I cannot use it with other apps like Microsoft Teams… only by native app of Google Duo pre-installed… Did you try to use with other app by other computer…?

And, when i connect an ipad with or without a usb-c cable, the volume controls on the ipad are frozen and there will be no sound on the ipad when you want to do something else on the ipad. I mean, when you. Watch tv on the monitor itself and something else on the ipad, there will be no sound on the ipad.. is this a setting that i missed? Thanks in advance

Do you know if I would be able to connect both my Mac mini and pc work laptop without having to unplug either / switch the cords? Like would I be able to just switch from one to the other via the sources on the Home Screen? I know people do that with gaming consoles but would it work with 2 computers?
Hey Cassandra! That should definitely work. But do not me you have to externally charge one of them as the monitor can charge only one device at once. So maybe hook up the work laptop to the usb-c port which does support 65watts charging and then hook up the Mac mini to the other port and charge it with its own charger. I have connected a MacBook and a Lenovo laptop and I was able to easily switch between both. I hope this helps.

The pip is crap. You can only display static pic in pip. You can’t work on a pc display and watch video in a smaller screen.

Here’s a Suggestion for those buying this monitor: PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING!!! I ordered 3 Weeks ago, and never saw the expedited shipping option, and now have to wait til June 1st!!!

I am experiencing lag between monitor and MacBook Pro 16in. I’ve checked multiple usb c cables but still have this issue. No lag when using hdmi. Did you experience this?
I use it with the 16” MacBook Pro too! I mostly use it in the docked position so the monitor is the only display and it is plugged into the charging capable USB-C port! No lags at all.
@@justaguyintech so from what I understand is you can connect a MacBook to this monitor either wirelessly, usb c, or hdmi? Which one has the best scaling and pic quality? Currently will be picking my m8 up at bestbuy this Friday. My main purpose of getting is was for extra screen real estate for video editing using my 16 inch m1 pro MacBook Pro. I’m really excited! I was able to see HDR content using MacBook!

Is it an all in one or do I need something to plug up with it ? I’m a college student looking for something to do my essay on.
It is an all in one but I do have my MacBook plugged into it! You can use Samsung browser and Microsoft apps without plugging in a laptop. Also you can connect your pc or mac wirelessly too!

Not a full PC though if that's what you're asking. It does let you use Microsoft office apps (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) without connecting anything other than WiFi

Would be great to see some os5 game play to showcase how it holds up
It does handle it pretty well! But limited to 60Hz

Since you have covered the pros, let me share some cons. This monitor cannot be connected to internet via wired approach. Also, for the build in camera to work, it MUST be connected direct to notebook via usb c. The M8 usb c connection destroyed both my fujitsu notebook 2 x usb c display capability. (Within 2 days per usb c port). When connected to bluetooth speaker, it has lipsync issues. I cannot use the same pair of keyboard and mouse for my notebook and M8 internet app control. I need 2 x separate set of keyboard and mouse, one set to M8 and another set to notebook. This means i need more than usb c connection for my notebook. Need other connection for my keyboard and mouse to my notebook. Also, the keyboard and mouse connected to M8 cannot be use to select apps. It can only be used in the internet app. The rest only can navigate via the M8 remote.

have the same color too, very disappointed with the very fragile build quality, I also have amazon fire stik at home and I was surprised that the remote control of the amazon fire stik works on the m8 monitor, turns off, turns on momitor raises and lowers the volume I was amazed! also the quality of the panel I was a little disappointed, a question, to tell you could you tell me if the remote control when you use it turns on the red led? I don't like it, the LED turns on only if it is charging and not while I use it, I saw that while you use it the LED turns on, could you confirm me? thank you

Can we connect our headphones to the monitor ??
I don’t think so! It comes with 2.2-channel speaker system composed of a pair of 5W speakers and a tweeter built into the display itself. Maybe you can get a usb-c hub with a headphone adapter and try it that way!

M8 is too good as TV or entertainment device .work class and IT PPL stay away from this if you want to buy it as monitor for Pc,laptop,etc. Brightness,font and display is very irritating to eyes 👀 and of poor quality. Forget about using it for programming,pdf or Xcel file reading. Once u buy it, won't get any support from customer support and simply denying defects. To get it addressed you have to rais the complaint to the government then only they attend your compliments else not.
Camera giving huge headroom so can't be used for video meeting or else keep standing to let your face visible. Doesn't control display settings automatically when switched from pc to tv mode ones set. Audio quality is also not that good . In all its a good looking,light weight smart TV which can't be mounted on wall . If you want to buy better buy seperate monitor for your work. 😂
