I put down 3 square metres Wally turf about a year ago in a shady spot. It survived winter in Brisbane but did not really spread or bulk up. I attribute this lack to Bunnings habit of getting in turf cut from clay soils, as opposed to sandy loam. This spring, it is responding strongly to the increasing daylight time and recent rain. Don't buy Bunnings turf even if certified Wally. Always check the soil is such that you can roll it - sandy loam.

My pop always had the best grass in the suburb and my nan recently moved out of the house he last had before he passed and the grass is beautiful and her new hisue is shocking so I’m going to do what pop would have done and have thick buffalo grass 😍

I’m in Sydney and my Sir Walter lawn has stolons running across the top… is thinning out in a lot of areas under a massive tree. It has been about seven years since we hired out a de thatching machine and a decoring machine…is it in need of re doing. Our once beautiful lawn everyone admired is looking stressed and haggard….like me!😬

it's likely that it is in need of a bit of a renovate but don't do anything too aggressive with it until October, if you would like to send us through some photos we can take a look for you and provide some specific advice. You can send these through to our facebook page or via email to info@lawnsolutionsaustralia.com.au

You WOULD need to use a high quality starter fertiliser after using glyphosate 😆
