The year is 2067. Paradox has released an entire DLC based on a one province minor. It adds another ruler mana mechanic to every nation focused around the caloric intake of the average citizen. It cannot be turned off.

Me, seeing this pop up in my feed: Ooh, Winds of Change is finally out, these trailers are usually pretty solid at giving a rundown of all the new features in a concise but effective way, might as well give it a watch just as a quick recap.
My brain, not even 5 seconds into the trailer: "Oh, hello, you're back. And in one piece. Well, now it's time I do my part. Whatever trinket you need, speak up. Just don't ask me where I got them! Hehehe"

Still no 2k or 4k monitor support. The text is barely readable and the (beta) GUI option makes it look too blurry. Fix your game before milking it for DLC.

I just witnessed Egypt, Russia, and Persia form in my game today by the 1570s and stand up to the ottomans decently well. I was playing Inca, fyi. Seems like it’s in a good place but if you think it’s a problem mention it in the forums they really do read the posts
Persia if given enought time to develop is just destroying the ottomans. In my last game (before 1.37) Persia just destroyed the ottomans and had 300k in 1600 with the best quality in the world (even higher than mine) and had defensive ideas so it was hard and costly to siege.
I feel that the ottoman ai needs a buff, they collapse so much now.
The AI never does fate of egypt, they should make the ai always try to do eyalet of misr.

Don't hold your breath for EUV! They'll eff it up the same way they did with V3, same engine, yet it will be the same difference.
They tasted the bloody money with CK3 and won't ever bring a sophisticated EU ever again, EUIV was the last one.
Everything following will have way more eased up and simplified mechanic, to please the casual mainstream gamers .. Already happened with HoI IV.

Victoria was about economy so they destroyed the war system.
Crusader kings was about the families so they ruined the political system.
Europa universalis is about politics and war so it should be alright.
It will probably be bland and have that ugly 3d character art style but overall it will probably be a better base than eu4 at launch.
@@rory6860 You misunderstood. I wasn't necessarily talking about mechanics which could ruin the whole lot (“Did anyone said mana?!”).
What I'm talking about, is, that it will be just the next half-assed approach of slapping another ugly and buggy interface of an otherwise for 2d-predestined game on a fancy 3D-engine and try to 'fix' it by helplessly trying to gobble in for the game needed mechanics afterwards, call it a day by lulling clueless people with a fancy interface and happily sell.
That is what happened with Imperator: Rome, with Crusader Kings III and to some extend with Hearts of Iron:IV yet for sure Victoria 3 is the worst of them.
EUIV is dead long live EU5.
