Depth crawlers are really underrated. They're easier to control, and the ability to climb tall buildings allows you to get other characters to the top of high buildings that were previously only the domain of wing divers and fencers, since helos have a height cap. We just found that very useful in MP1-5. Those tall buildings that start out with nests attached are invincible for the whole mission, so you can call a tempest in at the base and not destroy your building...
Hi. I don't think they're underrated. As I say in the video there are overwhelmingly better choices for most missions outside the obvious cave missions, that's why most people opt for other vehicles. It works well here because its hitbox is low. It works well on the farming video I just published (2-30) because it's not destroyed on water. It may be useful on fringe occasions like you mentioned, but that's it. It's slow, and prone to dumb movements. Not bad firepower though. A lot like Barga, fringe stuff. But use the vehicles you feel comfortable with. By the way, AR can do a total war run of DLC 1-5 offline, destroying almost everything without the need to move much. Blues, Kings, and ants will climb the tall buildings. Have fun,
yes i like it you could also move faster if you keep pressing 2 movement buttons and adjust your camera angle just bit as e.g W then holding A or D kite around the map not recommended to do in cave tho
Huh didn't realize KM6 bombers were so good against these guys need to try that out since it seems faster than my double tempest runs. This stage was one of the few where the flying insect bombs were stupidly good in since you could oneshot the gamma if you got enough on one.
Hi. I'm not a big fan of Tempest. It can be useful on a few occasions, but it takes too much time to aim, it's unreliable and it's a PITA to use with aggroed enemies. Also nasty for NPCs. Focus not on DPS of weapons but its effectiveness to solve things. All enemies will eventually die, it's not needed to one shot them. The advantage of bomber attacks is that they're easy and fast to deploy and they free you do do other things unlike Tempests. Anything on Air Raider that takes too much time to use is overwhelmingly a bad idea. That's why people complain that he sucks. My opinion. And yes, KM6s work wonderfully against giant Pillbugs. I rarely bother to use drones, except a few for specific uses. They don't solve many things on Inferno. cris3fgametipsandgrumbles.blogspot.com/2023/12/edf-6-air-raider-when-drones-suck-what.html But use whatever weapons you're comfortable with and think that solve missions. Have fun,
Hi. Really good question. Somewhat long answer. Machine gun bombers are good if flyers are present obviously. But they also work very well against big stuff, like Arkelus, Erginus and giant Pillbugs. But there are issues with them, namely the chance of killing yourself if you move after you called them (with Z4 happens a lot of times), and the problem that being a skewed attack it can fail if it hits buildings or higher terrain. Explosive payloads are excellent against ground stuff, the smaller and more feeble the better. But does not work that well against big stuff. For instance, here no Phobos could one-shot the red giant Pillbug like Z4 did, not even Phobos Z 4. Against pylons it's difficult to be sure of which attack will be better. They all have different heights. J Cluster bombs (DLC) have a higher reach than most other bomber attacks. Sometimes the better option is to have a machine gun and an explosive payload attack. Obviously, on inferno the better option is the KM6 Z4 and Phobos Z 4 pair, which are one of my favorites. These are also good, because they are easy to use and you can deal with other things while they're doing, or trying, to do their job. There's a pretty unique explosive payload attack which is the Heavy Bomber Phobos Plan 10. I use it on a few missions because it provides unique solutions. Hope this helps. If you need more specific stuff, ask. I'll try to help if I know. Have fun,
@@hunyadacrazy At some point you start to focus on weapons that solve things and not the other ones, the crazy, the stupid and the pointless ones. All rocket launchers are very dangerous on Inferno, even Grant which is the one I use most. The other problem is that explosives start to spread things instead of killing them, and that's a no-no.

Hit that 👍🏽. Y’all know why you’re here. C’mon mayne. I never would’ve picked Depth Crawler for this. 2️⃣ 🆒
Is there an advantage to using machine gun bombers instead of explosive payloads bombers?

I'm curious if ranger's cascade could send them off course now 😅
I hate Cascade... 😋😂🤣
Volcano could be funny
@@hunyadacrazy I hate Volcano too... 😋😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂
I am guessing you enjoy the more hard hitting but slow fire rate lauchers instead, which makes sense because it is on demand damage
