This is an exceptionally awesome idea... totally marred by predictable issues. Whoever let this go through to the final game like this has a few screws loose.
The mission is a vertical tunnel where enemies drop from above, with passages and lots of NPCs. Awesome idea. But space is too confined and everything will be too cramped.
A brutal end, an awesome idea too.
But this is a cave mission so it was BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that the following things would never happen:
- hit through walls; if this was an issue on 2-18 in here it's on steroids; and it would not even need the new blue spiders for this to drive you insane; yes, this is something that never affected cave missions on Sandlot games...
- corpse, corpses parts, junk to blow yourself up galore; the first time you'll play this mission with Ranger using explosives you'll be hooked on how well they work here, the problem is the corpses everywhere; and even if it's admissible that depending on enemy some corpses take a long time to vanish the problem is that the same kind of corpses sometimes take FOREVER to disappear depending on the run; why it's a mystery
This is a VERY quick mission at least, so the reason for the long video is that there are 4 different runs on it.
The weapons I used were the level 103 Buster Shot, the 111 ZE Blaster and the 66 Probe Type 5. The other main weapons can be either the level 102 Goliath ZDMY or 112 Grant MTZ (theoretically the 81 Grant MTX will work but it will be a lot harder).
Buster Shot is necessary for the Queen Ant, the final pylons and King Spiders. I tried almost other level 77+ shotguns and you can expect to be 90% less successful. Not even Destruction Blazer G which would be a far second. Assaults are crap here, and Blazer too.
ZE Blaster is required too. FZ-Gun LE will kill you and your NPCs faster than the enemies, if you thought of ZEXs go play some other game and ZEXR is too underpowered. Of course, ZE Blaster has a dreadful rebuild time, but I'll get to that.
Probe Type 5 is obvious too, it's a farming run, or attempt at one, so this will help a LOT.
The main weapon is tricky to be clear, but I think that Grant has an edge. Goliath has a huge blast damage, they have similar blast areas, but the rebuild time makes it tricky to be better and it will not work as well as Grant in the final phases, which are the most troublesome ones. I tried everything out of curiosity, assault rifles and shotguns are junk as main weapons here, and grenade launchers are too imprecise.
Remember that Goliath is guided to its end, so if you change view position during its flight you'll change its path!

You'll die a lot by hitting corpses, because you can't install properly the turrets (corpses...), because silver and blue spiders will hit through 2 or 3 walls, because you'll hit a falling live enemy (rarer), because a goldie at the end or less often a spider near you will instakill you. There's a huge luck factor in this mission, and you will die a LOT!
It's still a goodish mission to farm Ranger weapons, and he does not have that many beyond DLC 2-20+ that's why I said "questionable" in the video title. At least you can get here some level 115 weapons, and surely good star upgrades for the ones below 112 inclusive.
