    As a retired power production specialist for the federal government, I can attest that the power brick with dc7909 jack was a fire hazard in itself especially for people who use the device as their dedicated power source living off-grid. I have used my AC200P extensively as a primary source of power 24/7 for three years straight in order to thoroughly test the device and provide my assessment. Besides the power brick issue, this AC200P is pretty much bullet-proof - I mentioned to Bluetti for the DC 7909 jack to be removed from their 48V power stations and look what we have here. Way to go Bluetti, this is a huge step in the right direction. I currently use their AC300 with four B300 batteries connected to my 10K Renogy solar array and I look forward to the arrival of the AC200L in a few days. It's a revolutionary game changer.

    the older 12v/30A was great for van builds where they could hook it up to the 12v fuse box and run lights and other dc appliances out of it.
    48v is better because its more efficient in net DC power out of the battery, less voltage drop in wires and safer/smaller/cheaper overall wires/fuses/bus bars as you're dealing with 8A now instead of 30A.
    most automotive electrical systems are moving to 48v systems too.
    and one could use step dowm converters for the current 12v lights or 24v ACs.

    I wired my camper van so I could do my own custom setup but now have decided to go this route. I have 3 standard wall outlets/plugs and then some 12 volt items. I guess I could use that 12v outlet to hook up a fuse box to run my 4 or 5 12v items- lights, maxxair fan, water pump, etc. Do you think that would work? Also, as far as the 48 volt goes, would I get something that would switch that to 12 volt for those items? Thanks for the video. I think I'm going to go ahead and go with the 200L with the option of expanding with one more battery bin the future.

    I was one of the first to order the new L with the BF sale. Should get it in a few days. When AC charging, there are 3 modes available: Silent, Standard, and Turbo. Turbo as stated is 2400W and provides 80% charge in 45 minutes (full in 90 minutes I think). Standard charges at 1200W ("more friendly to battery") and is fully charged in 3 hours. Silent charges at 800W "quiet low power operation for long battery life." AC+PV together in the three modes are limited to the same 800W, 1200W, and 2400W, respectively, so you probably wouldn't be using solar with AC going because there would be no benefit. (For PV only charging, the limits are 800W, 1200W, and 1200W.) Looking forward to additional boondocking power for RV, emergency power at home, and potentially lowering home electric bill.

I have one question, I have a 33’ boat and it has air conditioning and heat, refrigerator (small) battery charger onboard installed ect. Now my boat does have a generator, but I was thinking this would be even better because of fumes and fuel consumption. Would either one of these units plug into my boats 30 amp hookup for power while I’m at anchor??? Or would would the power needed be to much and I should save the money and run my onboard generator???

      Hi Michael I hope you are a subscriber. to answer your question that type of power station would be a larger power station a little bit heavier, but most of them will actually be expandable as well giving you additional runtime if you decide to purchase additional batteries. I’m going to link a video we did on a comparison, but you’re gonna want to keep an eye out for the delta pro in the video. I think it’s a good idea just to watch the video because I go over all of the differences and I hope it really helps. You just have a basic understanding after that we can talk more. There are definitely other PowerStations to look at that would have that type of outlet. Here’s the link for the video let’s stay in touch.

    I have the AC180, in the mornings and evenings, when the panels aren't getting enough sun, the solar charger relay clicks on and off constantly for about an hour. Does the AC200L do the same thing?

      @TechMadeEzy  7 місяців тому +1

      Most PowerStations do that you normally don’t wanna have the solar cable connected when you’re not charging just disconnected. I don’t know that it’ll cause damage but it might.

      relays are built to do that task specifically - since the sun may or may not be out when charging or attempting to charge the device

    I would love to sell my generator and go battery/solar, but here's my dilemma. As I understand, you should only store your batteries at no more than 80% capacity, so when the power goes out in a rain/snow storm, I'm working with a system at 80% capacity and since there is no power or sun light, I can't pass through charge for additional wh power🥴. Now if I only keep my generator gas tank stored at half full, and I need additional run time, I can just add gas. So, until I can have a battery/solar system ready to go at 100% capacity, sadly it looks like my noisy gas generator will be my emergency standby solution. Hopefully someday there will be a battery/solar system that can be charged to 100% and stored for that lights-out day. As always, I love the reviews and your honest perspectives. Enjoy them all👍😊

      Thanks Frank
      I would recommend buying a system with expansion batteries and once you have all of those around 50% if your power goes out you’ll be OK and you can even charge via solar while you are discharging powering your devices in your home.

      I would not get rid of the generator, as you will need redundancies. I went without power and water for 8 days. I have 2 Hondas 2200 that I had to use. Here is the problem. I normally would run both of them every 6 weeks using non-ethanol gasoline. To my surprise when I needed to charge my power banks I could not because one of the Hondas would not start. The second started because I had converted it to propane. Soon after we recovered from the storm I converted the other one to propane too. Now both will run with with gasoline or propane. Others justify not changing to propane because gasoline is cheaper, which is true, but if you were in my situation. We could not pump gasoline for days because the grid was down. With propane you are good to go because it won't go bad.@@TechMadeEzy

    But the AC200MAX can recharge at 1400 watts (900w +500w) in both sides. The solar can range from 10-145/15a and 10-60v/10a on the MAX. Does the AC200L have the A/C adapter for MC4 from the solar side. I do like the upgrade and redesign but 200 watts can be a big difference when off grid. Great video.

      it's a closer voltage to the internal battery so more efficient dc output.
      you can use 48v appliances and/or use step down converters to 24v and 12v.

    • @NVPJ
      @NVPJ 6 місяців тому

      @@mas921 48V appliances are uncommon/unusual in the US. Virtually everything I've found has been 12V (TVs, refrigerators, water pumps, lighting, etc.). The older 12V 30AMP was ideal for a single wire connection to a 12V DC distribution panel to supply an entire camping van's electrical system.
      As far as efficiency, if you use a step down converter, that simply adds the same drag on efficiency that Bluetti would have had if they built it into the system. But now it is an extra purchase, extra installation, extra thing to mount and extra bit to manage. Further, the 48V is only 8 amps, which at 85% conversion efficiency nets you 27 amps at 12V, less than the old port's 30 amp.
      48V may work in other areas where it is more common (e.g. Europe). But this change is a step backward for US builders.

    So why are people excited about 48v output?? !2v 30amp sounds way more useful to me, I'm guessing the 48v port will have some sort of expensive addons to give you lower voltages to suit your needs, Just sounds like another way to gain more of our hard earned cash more addons?? Tell me of I'm wrong and have missed something as I've not seen anything published about this port and its been out for a few months in the USA. 100% agree. Some trucks and maybe European vehicles use 48 volt systems, but virtually everything I try to buy for a van - TVs, water pumps, fans, lights, etc - come in 12 volt with no 48 volt option. And converting 48 to 12 just means I have to add an extra step to undo their change to 48 volt, netting a lower amp capability (was 30 amp, would be 27 amp with external voltage converter).@@daemoncan2364

And I don't like that it doesn't have that much more output as far as the inverter I'd rather get the $3,000 and it also doesn't have enough extra storage so to get something bigger and more expensive and more heavy I don't know I'm not sold on it and not impressed but I'd love to hear if this new battery that might be bigger coming out and would be interesting to see if a bigger battery coming out would still charge with 600 watts of solar
