- What's better than making a crochet gift set?! This wine glass lanyard is a free crochet pattern that goes in combination with waistcoat stitch crochet wine bottle cozy! Both of these are easy crochet Christmas gifts for beginners, but even if you're not making them for Christmas they make great last minute crochet gifts for any occasion or any holidays just by changing up the colors.
In this tutorial I will show you how to crochet a wine glass lanyard, also know as a wine glass necklace. We will be using the waistcoat stitch in the round and by the end of this video you will learn how to crochet the knit stitch! Isn't it amazing when we can make crochet that looks like knitting patterns?

Great video! Such cute stuff! I had a question. My shoulders have started hurting and I think it’s from sitting a crocheting for long periods. Do you do any specific things to avoid stiff or tightened muscles? Maybe you could make a video with tips to help?
Yes that may be the case. I think I could put together a video like that. I will say that when you're crocheting, try to sit up as straight as possible. If my hands/arms start to feel crampy, I like to put a pillow on my lap for my arms to rest and that usually helps. You could try that and see if it makes a difference. You might also benefit from taking a break after a certain amount of time. Maybe crochet for 30 minutes and then stand up and walk around. Maybe do a little bit of arm stretching, and then sit back down and get back to it. I hope that helps!
