*LS2 Valliant II Blackout version does come with second smoke shield, all other color ways do not.
The LS2 Valiant II 180-degree flip, modular motorcycle helmet. Building upon the success of the original Valiant, LS2 has again pushed the envelope of technological development. A newly designed chin bar mechanism is smaller and slimmer than the original, making for a more aerodynamic shell. The Valiant II retains all of the features and functions of the original Valiant, but with a new more modern look. The lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA).
This proprietary material uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic particles of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer. This material is absolute state-of-the-art in energy management materials, offering a bit of built-in flexibility to disperse energy, the penetration resistance of high-end fiber products, and a lightweight shell. 2 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and an LS2 exclusive design keeps the chin bar securely in place at the back of the helmet when it is in the open position. The UV and scratch resistant shield uses optically correct Class A polycarbonate and is PinLock ready for the maximum in fog protection. LS2 designed a new quick change shield mechanism for the Valiant II, making swapping shields a breeze.
The Valiant II uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric, which is "Thermo-Formed." This eliminates the need for a layer of glue between the foam and the liner material and allows for the ultimate in breathability. Our cheek pads use ultra-high-quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. A DOT approved quick release chinstrap makes it a breeze to get the helmet off and on your head. Our designers at our world headquarters in Barcelona, Spain interviewed touring riders, adventure riders and commuters, and then set out to design the ultimate in a modular style motorcycle helmet. Built in our own factory for the best value on the market. More helmet for less cash. LS2. Designed for easy installation of the LS2 LinkIn RidePal III by SENA Bluetooth system. INTERMEDIATE OVAL FIT. Meets or exceeds DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.05 certification.

Solid review, much appreciated brother
Thanks for watching Jacob!
This is the most comprehensive review I have seen on this helmet. I purchased one due to your video. Thank you.
Thanks for watchin' and shopping with Speed Addicts! Hope you enjoy the ride in the new Valliant II 😎
How do you like it? I'm considering one.
@@tomchristian4304 I like it a lot. The tinted visor comes down the perfect amount, it doesn’t leak too bad, very little wind noise.
My only gripe is that when you go to lift the jaw, make sure you positively grab the jaw, and squeeze the button BEFORE you lift. I didn’t, and the anchor point/ pin on the cheek area ripped out of the foam. I simply JB welded it back in and it has been perfect ever since.
I would buy another one if mine fell off my bike; without question.
@@Prosecute-fauci thank you
@@Prosecute-fauci Thanks. I just bought mine today, my local HD dealer had an additional 15% off on in stock helmets.
Just pulled the trigger on one of these. Thanks for the review! Very informative.
Thanks for watching!
HAHA!
I've had this helmet for 6 months and didn't know the chin part could be lifted away...this is awesome!
I might have never known if I didn't watch this video while learning to fit my comms unit.
And yes, I'm new to riding.
Thanks for watching - glad we could be helpful!
It simply looks like the chin lifts! Read the stuff in the box man!😂😂
No way dude
Lol
I am on my 2nd LS 2 open face helmet which I like very much and I will be saving to get the Modular ASAP. I ride a 21 Kawasaki Ninja 650. The LS 2 seems to give you more of everything for the money. Some manufacturers are willing to do that Like the Ninja, which is a great piece at a great price and even my Kia Rio, a fantastic car at a very reasonable price. I appreciate manufacturers who aren't trying to gouge their public and not give you any buyers remorse. For those curious about the weight it weighs 3.99 pounds.
Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching!
There is also lots of reflective matter built into the helmet front and rear to aid rider visibility at night.
Great call out! thanks for watching!
Great Review..thanks
Thanks for watching Greg!
For $350. That’s so cheap. I’m definitely buying one
Thanks for watching!
Excellent helmet I have the previous model for £180
Good choice! The Valiant is a great modular helmet, thanks for watching!
I just bought the Blackout model but I have not had a chance to ride with it yet. I did however follow the suggestion of wearing the helmet around the house to break in the helmet and ensure that it’s also the right size. I was worried about getting the size right but I think I nailed on the fit. I wore mine thru the whole first half of Monday night football ( don’t laugh, the wife did enough of that ) to get acclimated to the fit. Drinking a few cold beers while watching the game were no issue at all , I think I made a great choice, I’m happy with this purchase and remember, No Brewskis before you ride kiddos!
Hey Dave, glad to hear that the Valiant was a good fit! Happy Riding!
Well if you get drunk and you have your beer drinking helmet on….that’s safety bruh. If you fall down you won’t hurt your head.
How do you like it now after a year? I just pulled the trigger on one today. Super excited to get it and try it out.
would be interesting to see it compared with the Shark EVO ES
We'd give the Shark just a slight advantage in built quality. Most would hardly notice it and prefer to pay about 20% less for the LS2.
I have mine coming Monday in Glossy Battleship Gray, from my researching they use the same size outer shell and cheek pads for the XS - XL which I hope is true because I ordered the XS to get color I wanted.
That is true. Hope the new helmet worked out for you.
Great video, whats the best wat to add a gopro to this helmet?
Thanks for reaching out, i don't believe this helmet has any attachments to mount a camera, it might have to be a mount from go pro to make that work.
Hey I'm interested in the LS2 Advant X, but the Valliant looks like a good value, any opinions on the two other than one being newer than the other??
We would recommend the Advant X.
Does it come with a pinlock for both the clear and smoked outer shield?
Hi there, This would only come with 1 pinlock, just a note only the blackout version will come with the extra dark smoke shield. Thanks for watching!
Hello
Can you use the sun shield with prescription glasses?
Hey Fernando, you should have ample room to use your glasses with the sun shield
When will you all talk about the Advant and Advant X helmets???
Stay tuned - Advant review will be dropping later this week!
Can you tell about its weight, because heavy helmets gives pain in neck on long travels.
Does it comfortable for long trips?
Can we install GoPro on it?
And also this helmet can gives wide vision like adventure helmets?
Waiting for reply!
Thanks.
The LS2 Valliant II is one of our top selling modular helmet with a very low return rate. Simply put, folks love this helmet. Weight - Modular helmets are not light helmets. This helmet is right around 3.9 Lbs, which is average for a modular. If weight is important to you we'd recommend ditching your modular dreams and picking up a traditional full face. It's pretty easy to get a full face that's 0.5-1.0 pound lighter than this helmet. GoPro - Yes you could side mount a go pro, but again this is easier to pull off on a non-modular helmet. Visibility is excellent.
@@SpeedAddictsTV thank you so much mate!
Can you install a cardo comm device inside? I notice it doesn't have the speaker cut outs like in the shoei neotec 2
Yes, you can install a Cardo unit.
How'd I only get the sock w/o the smoke visor and backpack??
Hey there! The additional smoke visor and backpack will only come with the Blackout and gloss Blackout version of the Valiant II!
Question, can ff399 visor can be put in ff900 helmet (valiant 2)?
Different visor. It will not work.
How does it compare to advant X?
We prefer the Advant X.
Is this helmet suitable for long oval shape head?
Well good sir that will depend on how long of a long oval we're talking about here. The Valliant II is an intermediate oval that's rather agreeable with most head shapes (low return rate on our site). If your head is a true outlier in the long oval department you will have to look else where. Luckily www.speedaddicts.com has free returns, so it doesn't hurt to give on a shot.
Yes it is , in have a long oval shaped head and it fits perfectly..LS2 make thier helmets to that shape head as do other more expensive ones
Does it fit true to size?
Yes it does.
Anyone has experience when intercom with camera built-in (such as sena 10c/50c) install to this helmet? will the intercom fit (due to inner visor slider, etc) and still have good and proper video from the camera?
I have the cardo packtalk bold on my valiant 2. It works well. Just make sure to move the chin bar to both positions so you can plan where best to place the cardo unit on the outside.
It's a noisy helmet so you may want to get some good earplugs to block the white noise and get better sound thru your speakers.
Edit-Oops, I just realized you asked about the camera combo. Sorry, no experience with the intercom/camera combos.
Not sure about this. Sorry about that.
What is the decibel sound rating?
You're looking at around 103 decibles traveling at around 80 mph
@@SpeedAddictsTV thank you for the reply!
is this Helmet Snell rated ?????
The LS2 Valiant II meets DOT and ECE 22.05 certifications. You won't find any modular helmets that will meet Snell Certification, your best bet is going to be a tried and true full face helmet 🤘
How heavy is it ?
3.99 pounds.
how are these kind of helemts for people who wear glasses?
Hey Brandon, we've heard they have ample room for eyeglasses from many of our customers
San po pwedi makabili nyan location po? Thankyou
Maaari mong mahanap ito dito! www.speedaddicts.com/motorcycle/ls2-valiant-ii-blackout-matte-black-helmet
Is this eyeglasses friendly?
Yes, the Valliant II is glasses friendly. In fact nearly every LS2 helmet is specifically designed to accommodate most glasses.
Its missing the bluetooth
This Valiant II does allow for most Bluetooth comm systems to be installed!
For some reason. You constantly looking off to your left while giving this review. Is very annoying. Made me not want to finish the video. So I didn't. I currently have both the Valliant and the Valliant 2. Both are good helmets. Neither are what I would call premium helmets. They are not a light helmet. And they are both noisy. Pretty good bang for the buck helmet. But I probably wouldn't buy them again
Appreciate the feedback! That would be our secondary monitor so we know we're showing off the helmet correctly. The Valiant series could use some help in the weight department, but that goes with all modular helmets!
