I love mint. Having a plan to contain it and sticking to that plan is very important. Not cutting it back, or even worse, letting it seed can really let it take over! But, I love my mints, even if I end up having to cut patches with a string trimmer and use them to mulch 😂
It used to overtake mum’s garden, but she didn’t care. I love fresh mint chopped, place in a mortar and pestle, add castor sugar. Grind into a green paste and spread on fresh cut Pineapple.
I have Apple, strawberry, spearmint, curly mint, chocolate and “basic” mint. I’ just got seeds to start Greek mint and mountain mint. I have mine all I 5-10 gallon containers.. Except strawberry mint.. it’s smaller and my youngest mint that I purchased this past spring. The other mints are all 4+ years old. I agree with spearmint.. mush better behaved, less aggressive..but still in a container! Bees love mint!

Another invasive mint variety in a garden is Catnip. I brought home a small plant for my cat, and within a year it spread everywhere. 😊 my cat loved it though.

This sounds interesting! I currently have a watermelon all cut up and loads of mint.. I bet this would be delicious on most any fruit!

😊 Terimakasih.. ❤
Oh.. I’ve got African marigold growing and just putting on buds. I hadn’t considered them as edible.
It’s a new one for many people!
