I can see how the rapier is great for unarmored but it is nearly useless if your opponent has some semblence of good armor. I guess it goes back to the age old question of nodachi vs longsword for armored dueling.
All bladed weapons are "nearly useless" against "some semblence of good armor". You need weapons that can easily generate a lot of concussive force, like polearms. Otherwise something that can sufficiently penetrate or bypass the armor is needed which means either a firearm in the former case & a big dagger or something equivalent in the latter.
You guys have a lot to improve at strategy and footwork. both of u stop often for no reason in the middle of the exchange of blows, and get thrusted or cut easily as a consequence. When different positions are taken, the attacks are quite inadequate and at the wrong target, thus getting countered every time. The rapier guy often has the wrong distance, thus making his hands very vulnerable. He also relies only on thrusts, which makes him limited into his attacks.
