I don't care how many times I watch this video, it's one of those poignant moments where tears come unbidden, where you can feel the Holy Spirit moving, where the emotion is palpable on the faces and in the eyes of those in attendance and where even Baptists and Episcopalians raise their hands along with their Pentecostal brothers and sisters in praise. Oh what a Savior indeed!!!
How in the world can someone hit the dislike button on this?? Not only the history behind it but it’s wonderful to see the emotions of everyone in there when they started singing together! God bless!
This man sounds like he sings way he wouldn't sing if Jesus sat in that public! I mean on part 1:24. If Jesus was there he wouldn't do that! We should sing like to God everytime!
I would like the copyright for What a Savior. Ivan Castanza and I co-wrote What a Savior on our honeymoon in Israel. While visiting at the Crucifixion site, I gave birth to an illegitimate son and almost bled to death. I sang the first verse in Flemish and Ivan began singing in Flemish as well as we co-authored the song January 8, 1973. Later at our hotel we worked together to translate the song into English.
I believe that the song title is,
"Oh, What a Savior". ⚘

I agree wholeheartedly! I cannot listen to this without crying!
You are no doubt, my brother!
What a gift to be able to watch these treasured gospel pioneers thanks to Bill Gaither. Wonderful, priceless videos.

I would rather hear Ernie Haase sing that song. Ernie sings with more feeling. And no, I did not see Calvin Newton on this video.
Wonderful song but too many theatrics by Dean Brown.
