I remember back in 2013-14... This video totally convinced me this game will be good. I tried it and it became one of my most played game on Steam. I play it even today.
There actually was a system for pressurizing rooms in the game, but I disabled it for being really fiddly. I want to have a mode where it is active on the planet, though, for hardcore players who want the extra challenge of maintaining a pressurized colony. As for the intro, we might do a little animation, but it won't be real gameplay.
@@ScrapDMX A fellow War criminal went back to look at the roots as well I see. What might be that larger theme of the DLC that comes to mind? Something physics or automation based?

As someone who used to adore this game as a child and wanted to play, but either didn't have the computer or money and has now sunk more than 3k hours of my life on it.. It's cool to see how things have changed throughout the years and that the DLCs get me as hyped now as the OG gameplay did back in the day! Keep up the good work Mr. Sylvester!
Having played all the way back then, it's crazy thinking just how much the game has now in comparison, between just the base game, then the two expansions, throw in mods on top for fun, I genuinely don't know how many hours I have in this game, but it's safe to say thousands, easily one of my favorites
So that's how my addiction looks like 6 years ago... I first saw it game on YT at December 2015 but man.. that was a lot of progress....RimWorld is life....RimWorld is everything
Tynan, quick question; Will there be airflow in the game? It'd be ridiculous seeing your little guys get sucked out of their ship in an intro, or maybe as a sort of DLC / update, with 'docking' ships and such. You've already got pods in, and they look amazing.
That's brilliant :) I was really hoping there could be a mode with the outside air being unsafe in some manner. I love the idea of space colony games but there are so few out there that aren't just gunfight centric or Civ-like. I've pledged to the $75 tier on your kickstarter already :)
Dear Tynan. First of all, this game looks unbelievably amazing, combining elements of the Legendary Dwarf Fortress, Prison Architect and Towns. Releasing a Pre-Alpha version of the game (the way Minecraft did) would really boost the budget and the happiness of fans-to-be. Also, how about RimWorld: Medieval?
Tynan, I have to say this, I got rimworld since it first went on steam and fell in love with it, I have over 5k hours and am about to reach 6k, you deserve to be up with the legends, gygax Todd Howard and Bill gates
Fucking love this, looks amazing. Only tiny thing i could say is perhaps more unique looking people or perhaps their appearance changes as they learn more? Otherwise cannot wait.
Tynan, I would pay right now to play this in its current state. I don't care about the status of the build or what's working or not. So, maybe think about that. Just open it up for alpha access purchasing via paypal or whatever. Seriously. If I could play this today, I'd drop $20 on it immediately. I'm sure other people feel the same. I *love* the idea. It's kind of what I've always wanted.
No true aliens, but the human factions are disconnected enough that they can be pretty alien-like. E.g. "dwarfs" are people evolved for a few thousand years to live on a high gravity planet. Others engineer themselves. Most of the animals are engineered somehow.
