Did I hear you right? Slippery as owl crap? Did you know there is a short film called "The Harry Woodpecker?" And here is a joke about woodpeckers that I only slightly altered: There once were two woodpeckers who were friends, and one lived in California, the other in North Carolina. They would visit each other occasionally at their homes. So the woodpecker from California had his friend come out to visit, and was pecking at his tree but couldn’t seem to get through to any bugs. His friend from North Carolina comes by, and says, “Here, let me try!” and gets right in without any issue. Months later, the woodpecker from California travels to visit his friend in North Carolina. When he arrives, he sees that his friend is struggling to peck at his own tree to find bugs. Likewise, he comes to help, and has no trouble getting through, and they both feast on the bugs inside. So what’s the moral of the story? The farther from home you are, the harder your pecker gets.
Beautiful trails and the scenery on the drive was great too. So glad you didn't try to climb the seaweed covered rocks because those rocks would have won. You look like you're really enjoying this trip, and so are we, so as always - thanks for sharing, safe travels, stay well and hugs for sweet Maggie.
So great and relaxing. Music and all. It was like a good book you never want to end. I took my time, didn’t want to finish it all in one go and even watched it again. Helped me relax and unwind at the end of the day. Beautiful places you take all of us. Thanks.
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men Gang aft a-gley But it your case... you found so much more. Clam chowder, valleys, waterfalls, covered bridges... what more could you ask for? Isn't travel just miraculous! Be seeing you!
Nice hiking trails! Maggie was sure enjoying the water and hiking for a bit then it looked like she was tired out. I wouldn’t have stove through the water either just to be safe. Glad you found a place to boon dock. Great video! Have fun and see you soon! Have great week! Safe travels!
Another great video. The sea caves are very interesting. Do they flood at high tide? I enjoyed the music that played with the hikes. Your choice of music always adds so much to your videos. I’m glad Lynn won the decision as to whether the waterway should be crossed because it looked a little precarious for getting out the other side. Hugs to sweet, wet Maggie. Safe travels!
I don’t think the sea caves are completely under water at high tide but you can tell it fills them up. Owen likes a challenge, I’m the one that thinks through every possible scenario. I just didn’t see a good level place to park on the other side.
This is the perfect trip we had all planned out for ..uh...2020. You probably know what happened to those plans. I'm taking notes for a trip we may be able to actually do someday, if only for my lifelong fascination with that famous tidal range on the Bay of Fundy.
Lordie, you two have more walking energy than me, but unlike Miss Maggie, no one could throw me over their shoulder..I love, love the water falls, and the drone views...Thank you for sharing !
I think we may have over done it on the hikes that day especially for Maggie. She just needed a little rest before she finished the hike. We appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.
Wow! I woke up early and was so happy to find your video early this morning!!! Such a beautiful day and coolest trip! Lynn, you're getting so good at being comfortable and talking on camera like you're sharing with a friend(which you are)❤. Canada is so incredibly beautiful and y'all are doing the best job sharing with us. Thank you so much! Maggie didn't even act like that water was cold at all. You've definitely conquered the stairmaster on this trip! Such amazing memories y'all are creating for when you get old. Thanks so much for sharing with us. So much love to all 3 of you! Jane ❤🙏
Hey guys love your choice of music for this video. I hope you are having a great time in our Maritimes, I called down before you started to drive up here and told them to clean it up and bring out the good China. I hope it's to your liking. Hahaha love you guys. Safe travels.❤❤❤ Cheers
Another great fantastic show of New Brunswick !! Of course Maggie waging her tail and saying happy tails !! Enjoy this channel and the beautiful scenery and ocean . Thank you for sharing this with me!! As always BS & BK& BC
So glad y'all went to the Sea Caves! When we were there, there were 2 covered bridges, the only place you could photograph 2 in 1 picture. Is there only 1 now? I completely forgot about the Fundy Trail & the Falls! Thanks for this video!
Looks like you found some wind damage from last September's Hurricane Fiona on the trail at Walton Glen Gorge. Nova Scotia forests were pounded flat in some areas, sadly.
Last year, we stayed in the Hillsborough campground for a couple of days. What a nice stop. We literally stayed within a few feet of where you parked. A couple of blocks away is a restored White Rose filling station. We stopped, I got out my guitar and my wife videoed me playing the Fred Eaglesmith song White Rose. Great memories!
That Saint Martins Sea Caves looked like fun except for that mud. Glad you didn’t fall from the mud. But the caves were cool! And the beach looked beautiful. How was the water? Did you collect any stones? How was the water?
Great video we enjoyed every minute of it. Owen, we can't travel together. I got all your jokes from the cold water to the implant and I laughed at them all. Angie and Lynn would put us out and make us walk. Thank you for going on this trip and taking us with you. Y'all inspire us. Happy tails and safe travels.
I love that you get all of Owen’s little jokes, if you listen well you will hear a lot of them and it looks like you do. I think you two would be great together.
Looks like Owen needs a backpack for those times when Maggie gets tired. We bought a K9 Sports sac for our dachshund Abbie which really helped on snowy trails where she was having trouble walking.
Coast is beautiful! I know you three are enjoying this trip! I would love this because I love seeing the water! Thanks for sharing this incredible journey!
Looking forward to so many more beautiful peaceful places to visit with you folks. Ya'll always have the most relaxing videos, except with that alligator infested waterway ya'll went on in your kayaks. That one terrified me but then again i grew up in Florida with them buggers in my back yard every day sunning themselves on our lawn or in the pool back when it was illegal to pewpew them when they became a nuisance to people. Thank you for taking us along your adventures. It sure is a lot of fun watching ya'll.
Fundy Trail Parkway is always a favourite with us :D. When Lynn was talking about wanting to drive her bike through there, I had a laugh thinking "they must not have got to the big hills yet!" lol. You missed the great campgrounds in Fundy National Park! Lots of trails around there too. Maybe next time ;). Safe travels!
We didn’t spend much time in the Fundy National Park so we may stop on our way back through. You are right I don’t think we could ride our bike on the parkway, but we did see a few doing it.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle If you are looking for a great park for biking/camping, look into Kouchibouguac National Park in NB. Miles of excellent bike trails, beautiful sandy beach.
I'm proud of my education at UNC and NC State and attended many physics and chemistry classes. Yet, despite all that, I'm stumped about how to figure the "slipperiness" of owl crap. Even Google couldn't help me.

Great to see there's places to just stop and overnight near or in towns too. That's something we don't see much here on the East Coast of the U.S. They seem to be a bit more welcoming to travellers there. I'm a planner by nature, so this will be our first big van trip just winging it. Watching and learning from you guys!
Hi guys! We’re in the midst of planning a trip to the Nova Scotia area and your videos are really helpful. Curious… obviously you went in the summer, but can you tell me specifically what month? Also, any thoughts about the weather overall during your trip?
I see that you are heading toward Newfoundland. I hope you can get a chance to visit L'Anse aux Meadows - a National Historic Site way up at the northern tip of Newfoundland. It is an amazing recreation and museum of the site where it is strongly believed that the Vikings from Norway landed and stayed for a period of years around the year 1000 AD - way before the Mayflower. I visited there several years ago and found it to be amazing and an excellent learning experience of how life was over 1000 years ago. I really enjoy your UA-cam explorations and shows. Keep up the good work and thank you so much. DF
I really like your ebike carrier set up for Maggie. Can you provide some additional clarity on how you configured it to make it safe, secure and comfortable for her?
We got the basket on Amazon, it has bolts that fit on the back of our bikes. We put a flat gardening cushion in the bottom and we raped the top of the basket with wire foam installation because she likes to hang her arm over. The basket has a stap that we put through her harness, but she doesn’t try to get out. Maggie is 30-35 lbs and it fits her really well. Here’s a link to our Amazon store if you are interested in taking a look at the basket www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle.
