I only heard of this today. I am so so sad that this dear lady is gone but I still watch her shows today. They are still perfect to watch. What a lady!
There was one wonderful Nancy on this earth, and she left behind a treasure of sewing tips. Her talent lives on as a legacy to her great skills as a seamstress and as a kind and patient instructor. Heaven has a brilliant angel. She is not resting; she is happily sewing!
So sorry to hear about Nancy's death, my heart and condolences go out to her family and friends. I will miss her so much, she was a great teacher and I have learned most of my sewing skills from her. This breaks my heart as I feel like I lost one of my best friends. RIP Nancy, I will meet you in the Ressurection John5:28-29
The uses for the collar gauge I had had for many years without using alone makes this an invaluable video for me. It's amazing how the small, simple things of so many applications can make all the difference. Thank you, Ms. Zieman, for all your invaluable contributions to us sewists. Although you're no longer in this realm, I'm sure you're in a wonderful place.
Awhhhhh damn, I loved her. I have her video tapes, books and notions for years. Her sewing notions are my husbands go to store for my Christmas gifts. I was just rewatching some of her videos yet again only to learn of her passing. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

I remember how Nancy would always show us expand our wardrobes by using 2 or 3 patterns, that were time saving and could enhance our atire each day! I also used this technique for my customers in buildings their wardrobes quickly. It was always an encouragement to deal with the more complex patterns later! "THANK YOU SO MUCH NANCY! YOU WERE SO SPECIAL:" Prayers go forth to your family for GOD 's comfort & BLESSINGS!
We have lost a great friend. I have watched her many many years. She helped me when sewing garments, then crafts, then doll clothes, and now quilting. Prayers being said to her family and friends and colleagues . God has his helper now.
RIP Nancy. My prayers and thoughts for you and your family. This old show is still useful and can be used today. Many young people do not know these simple tips and tricks . She has taught so many in a time before VCR and computers, smart phones, etc. Her PBS program was a delight, like having a chat session with an old friend.
Wow, this is way back when I started watching Nancy. I was 10 (back when is was ok to call the class “Home Economics”). It’s crazy how time passes. Like the song says; don’t blink.
I just so happened to Google Nancy's Notions to find some stabilizer and saw a message she had died. I didn't know she was just 1yr older than me. I'm very sorry she passed away. I watched her show most Saturdays she was one of the best television sewing instructors I've followed.
I so agree; you are a patient teacher; I learn so much from your knowledge and your character in presenting a true and concise interpretation of techniques of sewing. I admire you as well and your example to others. Praying for you and your family.
Thank you for posting your VHS videos. I have, oh, I don't know, several VHS of her shows that I recorded for my personal use. I purchased 2 of her books which improved my skills to the top level. I hardly sew anymore, but sewing was my first love. Thank you again for posting these. I really miss her. Say, is her notion store still open? I wonder. I will do research. Thanks.
from 1992? wow! it was very interesting to see what notions she brought; most interesting & unusual was the tongs useful for making spaghetti straps (looked like some medical tool 😄 ( I have tool but it is straight).
I just ordered the buttonhole ladder off Amazon to finish my dress blouse. Can't wait to get it. I can't find the metal pocket curve template. Anyone know where I can order one. Certainly loved watching Nancy's shows when I was growing up. She has left her mark. RIP.
No one will replace Nancy Zieman, ever.
