The album, Council of the Dead, is a story about a group therapy meeting in the afterlife whose council members come to discover their connections to one another through the retelling of the events leading up to their deaths.
Contrary to the other songs on the album, "The Uprise" tells the story of a survivor of war and the strength that can come from the sacrifice of others. After the survivor, Aisha, and her village are saved by US soldiers, some of whom died in the process, they are determined to rise up and join in the fight against their oppressors.
The screams have little to no added FX/distortion, which I can appreciate, but it for sure takes away from the demonic/heavy essence that FLW dominates at

I like this song more than the title track. Also the unclean vocals seem to be mixed differently than the rest of their songs. I like it.

Nothing is wrong with his voice people. This song is just more raw and clean, less edited. Listen to the other released song off this album - self titled same "Council of the Dead". There are low screams in and throughout most of that song that sound identical to most screams on the TFC album. Regardless this band kicks ass and this concept album so far seems like its gonna be amazing, lets just hope it can live up to their TFC album. That one is probably one of the best I've listened too in a long ass while IMO.

Nope. It's about a collection of dead people telling the stories of who they were and how they died. This one seems to be someone who was part of a resistance group who were inspired by soldiers to fight for their freedoms.
But there are a bunch of others unrelated to soldiers. For example, One in the Chamber has been confirmed to be about suicide, and a lot of people are making speculation that Hell in the Headlights is about drunk driving.

no its about people who died and they are telling you their story about how they all died and each person is connected to to each other on eBay or another but this song is about a woman that was saved by someone in her army squad she is the only one in the album still alive
+State of Hate hell in the headlights is about the person (and his daughter) who the guy from one in the chamber killed while drinking and driving. he then goes on to kill himself
