Two faced charade, council of the dead, and now this. I love it all so much the story telling is amazing and the music gives me shivers. This one of the best bands I've listened to in a while
I'm a year late, but if you love story telling I would recommend the band Alesana, they have a similar sound and their third fourth and fifth album are all part of the same story.
Thank you famous last words because this song made me feel like I was in control of my life again and I wasn't a doll owed by others it made me realise I'm a human being and that I can do whatever I want
this band just keeps coming out with albums that fit my situations. I want to meet them so bad. I love this song so much and if I could I'd destroy the one who hurt me all those years ago. what that evil guy did to me can never be fixed for the rest of my life. I will have these nightmares forever..

I understand why in the end the album’s protagonist chose to not take vengeance in the way this song suggests and how she didn’t wanna “become like him”, but let’s be honest, her husband deserved to suffer like the lyrics in this mention her dreaming

Ever since his return, Christine has been having horrific nightmares of a shadowy figure violating her and toying with her body while she is completely immobile and helpless. Eventually she finds some sort of stash showing evidence of what’s really going on: her husband is a serial rapist, with some victims barely even being teenagers. Not only that, but he has been drugging her and molesting her while she’s unconscious. Christine struggles with the horror, shame, and humiliation, even blaming herself for what’s happened, symbolized by “The Judged”, where she dreams that she is in a courtroom defending against a lawyer saying that it’s her fault her husband abused her. Eventually she realizes that it’s not her fault and she won’t let the abuse and shame break her. Christine also has a “mastery” dream where her husband is just as helpless as she was, and she puts him through sadistic violence and torture to give him a taste of his own medicine and make him suffer like she did. Eventually, Christine’s husband finds out that she knows and tries to kill her or drug her again, so she hides from him. Eventually, she gets the upper hand and her husband is unknowingly open to be attacked. She tries to decide whether to murder and torture him for revenge, or to focus on escaping the house with her son. She manages to find a way to both get vengeance and escape with her son. She gets her hands on the drug syringe that her husband used, and stabs it into him, forcefully knocking him unconscious. She leaves her house safely with her son and vows to never become a monster like her husband.
Does anyone else think this album could be made into a short film like Two-Faced Charade? I think it would be pretty cool.
