The fire falls down from the sky
The order’s in
And we’ll be bringing them the fight
God bless my brother back home with my father
Give me the strength to beat this night
Sweat, ache, blistering heat
Pain in each step I take with my bleeding feet
This air it’s so hard to breathe
Through the dust and the smoke and the torrid debris
Marching forward
Towards the murder
(Chorus)
These homes are breaking The ground and the walls are shaking
I hear children cry. No time for goodbyes
So I hold my head high As the fire falls down from the sky
Fire falls down from the sky
And the blast consumes
Fire ignites and burns our flesh As we face our doom
Never to see our homes again
And we struggle and we strive In the fight to stay alive
And the hope that we’ll survive
Will we make it through the night
I’ll be going down, but I’ll take them out
Insurgents are all around
They’re burning the world to the ground
But if I’m going down
I will take them out
Slums these poor homes
Are now our war zones
Together we’re marching forward
Towards the murder
(Chorus)
My brothers beside me Are strong and not one is breaking
We stand side by side
We fight or we die And we hold our heads high
As the fire falls down from the sky
We die
We fight or we die
Coming from a soldier in the U.S. Army, this is badass.
KosmicKobra thank you for your service, people like you help us stay strong in our darkest days, thank you
I drive for Domino's and i have a badass stereo system in my car. (2 twelves running at 500W) Its a little overkill but my whole delivery area is pretty ghetto so ill play this album while headbanging rolling up to houses and instantly watch people respect the heavy beats. :D
Lol thats cute
RESPECT
s3p41r0t41 You need to hook those up to at least a 1000W Dual Channel
s3p41r0t41 if it was really ghetto you wouldnt even delivery there
yuhh
So tonight my girlfriend wanted to have dominant pokemon roleplay sex (she likes when I'm geodude and she's pichu) but instead of breaking out the cuffs and pokeballs I'm listening to this album
Ok, but WHY GEODUDE!?
2:51 sent chills down my spine and then right back up again
2:06 always gives them goose bumps and awesome. feeling
Gotta love a breakdown 🤟🤟🤟
i cant believe im 2 years late on this
you can't believe it this is all the bands I've discovered in the past months The Amity Affliction, Crown The Empire, Hollywood Undead, A Day To Remember, Famous Last Words. So I'm behind on a lot of good bands
+Blake Stevenson same its only been recent since i have started listening to all of these good bands
+Blake Stevenson and also look up in fear and faith and my enemies & i, these are really good bands in my opinion
TrailerParkJedi I prevail isn't bad and I'll check them out
+Blake Stevenson Hollywood Undead fucking rocks!!!!!
This is definitely my favorite album of all time
my favorite albums are two-faced charade and this! they are both amazing!
It makes more sense that the character is Air Force now. Don't really like some of the lyrics but I do like the meaning behind it. Especially the part about insurgents and We Fight or We Die.
2021 anyone still listen to this band
So we hold our Heads high as fire falls down from the sky!
Such an under-rated band, man! So bad ass
their lyrics are always so meaningful ^_^
LOL you haven't heard Two Faced Charade have you xD maybe this song is meaningful but thats it XD the last albums is about murder xD
Kyle Kirby yeah I happen to know every song of that album xD but tbh I think if you look beside the murder stuff, when it's about going insane and becoming a psychopath I think it's quite meaningful... Haha
Iske Zandbergen Haha
Yes Two-Faced Charade tells the romantic story of a girl who turned a boy into a psycopathic murderer for love xD. Shakespeare wishes he was that romantic
denonimophantom hate to say it, but Shakespeare was definitely more romantic. You just need to understand what he's writing and see it all play in your head.
omg I love this! Famous Last Words is amazing

3:10 to the end is awsome and so is the rest of the song
Guess you could say this song is pretty bomb
good track
I still heavily fuck with this album.
Omg this album is the best
mk I just have to say that the beginning sounds like the beginning of "Battle Against A True Hero", the song played during the Undyne the Undying fight in the genocide playthrough of Undertale.. I don't know.. just saying
LOL that´s true bruh
True
Hell yea!!!
Badass song. I bloody love it
Listening to this on memorial day weekend. Fitting.
1:53 is like rapping and screaming at the same time...
Like Pretty in Porcelain. :)
Is this album based during the 40s? WWII era? Idk, it has a real WWII type feel to it
No, its about a bunch of people that had died, and their discussing their lives and deaths with each other and it turns out they were all connected in some way or another. This one is about a soldier who was KIA.
+Falcon DeRichio Which, could've been from WW2. Judging from the uniform on said soldier in video, it is WW2
***** Duly noted.
Very late to the party here, but it's based of the fight against Al Quaeda. Stated in the Piano tribute to this song.
this album came along with feels alongside to great music

IS THAT ADAM BLAMPIED?
B r u h
Can someone tell me the connections of this album beside the fog, hell in the headlights and one in the chamber
the guy from "brothers in arms" is the son of the man from "life before my eyes" and brother of the guy from "the killing zone", who is the best friend of the guy from "fading memories"
The woman from The Fog is the mother of the guy from One in The Chamber, who in turn was the drunk driver who killed the father from Hell In The Headlights. The sons of the man from My Life Before My Eyes are the guy from Brothers in Arms, and the guy from The Killing Zone. Fading Memories is from the perspective of the friend of the man from The Killing Zone.
this would make an amazing music video.
just watch a film with a d day scene
This would make a badass walking dead song after Glenn dies
is this album like every song is a different story about how someone dies and then the end of the beginning everyone getting another chance at life?
J Gosserr yes
FLW FTW
TFW you are the 1000 like c:
2020??
Here 🔥
*.* whaa
I’m 4 years late
Ребзики есть ещё на подобие такой музыки группы
I have a theory that this is connected to the song My Life Before My Eyes.
Yep. Jarred, the soldier, is the son of the guy from that song
Fucking love this songgggg
1:50 bro what
like
Anyone else notice his tag is air force?
Yes I did
Listening during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine...
Anyone think the intro sounds kinda like devil wears prada's zombie ep sound??
Awesome as hell band! Fuck what any troll says!!! lmfao
i get this song is about war, but could someone tell me if it's like anti-war or not? i don't really get it
I believe it is. They don't talk about war as them serving their contries. Lines like these show this:
"I hear children cry. No time for goodbyes."
"Pain in each step I take with my bleeding feet
This air it’s so hard to breathe
Through the dust and the smoke and the torrid debris
Marching forward
Towards the murder"
NOTE: If you were fighting in a war, and proud of it, you WOULD NOT call it Murder. But they do here, which leads me to believe it's anti-war.
But this Is what I think, though I may in fact be wrong. I hope this helps! *Gives you cupcake and hugs you*
It's just a story. Not anti-war, not pro-war. The whole album is about people who died and they tell each of their stories. This is the Soilder's story. It's just a story
It's not anti-war. This song is from a soldiers perspective right before he dies. They were fighting in a country that has a really repressive government in an attempt to free the citizens that live there. The story continues in the song The Uprise, which is from a girl's perspective, and talks about her village being inspired by the sacrifice the soldiers took for their freedom, which results in them revolting against their government.
It's not pro or anti-war. It's about how a soldier named Jarred is going to war and while he doesn't want to die, he is proud to die fighting alongside his brothers in arms. The song "The Uprise" is about how the villagers Jarred's army unit saved were inspired by their heroic efforts and overthrew their corrupt government
what's this song about?
DjPiCklE you should ask what the albums about, it all connects :D this ones about a guy who died in war
CalebF_32 oh. cool!
HOLD ON. THATS ELISE BOYFRIEND! From Two Faced Charade, Jt kills him, which leads to The Show Must Go On, Jt kills Elise and his inner demon. This song takes place at Elise boyfriend funeral, and One In The Chamber is Elise Boyfriend's Dad (I think) and he's depressed because of his sons death and his moms illness. So he goes drunk driving and kills a man, which leads to Hell in Headlights, the daughter in the car with the man that got killed in One In The Chamber survived, and that's when Starting Over happens. This is my theory
Actually the whole album is explained in a singlular story format (which is why I love this album). "Letter to the council" and "council of the dead" reveal that these 7 souls were brought together as a gift that the other souls dont get and instead of passing are brought to the land of the deceased. Or so the Chairman explains. The story seems separated at first but its basically a Group therapy session for the dead where the stories all come together.
"the Fog" is about a woman named Nancy who suffered from Alzheimer’s. The Chairman tells us that Nancy was lost in the fog of her own mind and was ready to move on. Meanwhile “Hell In The Headlights” is about a man named Eric who was the victim of a hit and run by a drunk driver. Eric tells what he remembers from his last moments. Eric and his daughter were driving home one night when they were hit. He explains to the council that he does not really care about his own fate. He is not even thinking of his own death, but about what has happened to his little girl. He just wants to know if she made it or not. “Brothers In Arms” occurs and is about a soldier named Jarred who died in battle over seas. In the song, he explains to the council that he was proud to die next to his brothers in arms. He sacrificed his own life to save countless others.
Meanwhile back at home “The Killing Zone” is happening and it is the first song of the album that gives us an explanation of how the characters are connected. It is about a man named Daniel who steals drugs and money from his drug dealer and ends up getting gunned down in the street for it. His brother, Jarred, recently died overseas in the war. Daniel feels that his father wishes it were him who died instead of Jarred. His best friend convinced him that stealing drugs from their drug dealer would give him some sort of “street cred” and in desperation to find self worth, he went through with it. On the other hand “Fading Memories” is about the friend, Zack, whose struggle with addiction has taken a very real toll on his life. He selfishly convinced his best friend, Daniel, to steal drugs for him, knowing that he was putting him in danger. After Daniel was killed for stealing the drugs, Zack copes with it the only way he knows how and ends up overdosing.
"Entity” is the interlude track to give the listener an emotional break, and to set the tone for the next track “The Uprise”. The Uprise is the only song that isn’t about someone who is actually in the Council. The song is about a girl named Aisha whose village was saved by American soldiers, one of them being Jarred. The soldier’s sacrifices gave Aisha and her fellow villagers the courage and inner strength to stand up and rebel after the death of the soldiers and how they now have the courage to stand and fight for themselves in their memory.
“My Life Before My Eyes” is about The father,Bob, who has lost everything at this point. Both of his sons have been taken from him, Jarred and Daniel. As he slowly fades away in the hospital, he faces his greatest fear of dying alone in the same hospital that Nancy from before was staying. After Nancy and Bob's passing “One In The Chamber” begins with Jake, whose mother, Nancy, recently passed away. Overwhelmed with grief and hospital bills, he develops a drinking problem. One night he goes out after having too many drinks, and hits a man and his daughter, Eric. He ends up killing the Eric and leaving the girl to live the rest of her life without a father. Unable to deal with his guilt and grief, he takes his own life thus bringing each of the stories to a conclusion.
Finally, “The End Of The Beginning” is the last song of Council Of The Dead. After each council member tells their story, the Chairman tells them to really look at their fellow council members. As they do, they finally start to remember who they are. Friends and family members are reunited in the afterlife. The Chairman explains to them that they have a choice now. How they move forward from this point is up to them.
Fucking genius album and I love the messages and story behind it. Though this album has nothing to do with previous albums. ;P sorry to burst the bubble but its too good a story not to share :)
Two faced charade isnt connected with this
Exactly :P two totally independent stories
No, this guy was murdered in a war zone. You see "fire" everywhere in this song
Plus Elise's boyfriend was killed in Two Faced Charade story
try it on 1.25 speed lol
AMERICA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. America is the MOST HUMANE country in the world. If these guys can't figure it out, maybe they can move to a different country and figure it out and do songs about it.
When this album came out, I served and fought honorably in combat in the year 2014, and listened to this album as motivation to get through Afghanistan. I never knew the lyrics at the time. But now that I do know the lyrics, I'm disgusted by last famous word's anti-military agenda. Their album after this one showed me their true agenda.
its all concept albums they just tell a story bruh
Is it just me or is this a whack asf time signature?
i'm pretty sure its 4/4 or 3/4, wasn't really paying attention but it sounded standard to me
yeah most of it is 4/4
It makes more sense that the character is Air Force now. Don't really like some of the lyrics but I do like the meaning behind it. Especially the part about insurgents and We Fight or We Die.
Side note at the time around his death
A team of marines suffered a similar to his while trying to save a village (see the uprise)
