Hi, I just thought I'd mention (31:50) that the IB will expect you to say that the glucose concentration is less in the renal vein than in the renal artery - not saying that it goes out in the urine, but still. I believe this was from the November 2016 paper.
Glucose is used for aerobic respiration, which occurs in all cells including in the kidney. It is the same reason that Oxygen is used and is less in the renal vein
