to conclude, silver fox = jade air with thinner surface and a little bit more control? look forward to see ur magic ice video i heard its upgraded tiger ice
i love the pink one "balance" , and not like obsidian red is slowing overtime for me (maybe because so humid here in indonesia), this one is still smooth after 2 weeks.. 🐐
Do you use cloth or glass pad. Been thinking to buy either pink or silver fox to replace my red obsidian dots. Im using glass pad and the controled of obsidian gone after 1 week of gaming.
Im using the pink ones and im extremely confused as to why they are still lasting even after a month when my jade dots lasted 10 days. They aren't scratchy at all yet and I simply just dont understand why. Outside of donuts, I've never had any PTFE dots last me this long before.
@@kami3449 yeah I've had the same experience, but someone else said they've lasted like 3 months on their SP004. I guess they're using fingertip grip or something as with my claw grip any hard-pad absolutely destroys some skates.
@@mel0nFPS 3 months on a 004! Jeeez, that's crazy longevity for PTFE dots. I also use fingertip grip which actually kind of makes sense as to why it would last longer than other grips since we arnt putting as much pressure on our mice. Well this is great to know, now I love these skates even more.
@@mel0nFPS Do you feel the donuts hold up better overtime? or atleast maintain a smoother feel after good amount of use? I feel like since there is less surface area that could be the case. But then again I'm retarded. Thanks for the input bro!
I'm using the ac pro soft and the obsidian seems slow over time, which would be better to have the same or similar experience as the corepads pro, the silver one or the black one?
I'd actually recommend against using dots on soft pads as they'll have the same issues the SF's do on soft pads. Better to get the X-RayPad Obsidian donuts or GHOSTGLIDES Mini Donuts for soft-pad usage.
2 weeks of use with my Skaypad 4.0 these are starting to feel slow, they feel very sticky with high static friction but once you get moving fast left and right regardless of stopping the dynamic friction is excellent just slow motions and stop to start slow motions feeling sticky. Not sure if I will keep them on much longer, skates should last months but these are already very thin and the bottom skates are reaching the edge already, ZA13-DW 6 dots.
Yeah 100% PTFE skates like the SilverFox won't last long on hard-pads, that's why I said in my review I was confused as to why they are included with pads like the HANA and BEAST due to their short-lifespan. If you want a longer life-span try the Obsidian Air Dots or Obsidian Air Pro dots.
@@kami3449 I got 5 months out of my Jade dots on ULX but in hindsight maybe they were bad after 3 months, I will probably test them again then Obsidian, whatever the fastest skates I can get 3-6 months out of I will be happy.
Not 100% sure actually, I've been meaning to try them myself but on paper they look the same. I assume the skate shaping or material has been altered slightly but I'm not sure. I should be getting samples of them soon though so keep an eye out for a review on them!
are there any difference between jade dots and donuts? and do you recommend i stick with jade donuts im currently using or try ghostglides or this kind of feet? im on an hien soft and i like almost zero initial friction to flick but when i want to stop i can control it as well. on an ulx m rn
@@AminuddinAiman-o7x If you're running a soft-pad dots won't be usable so you're best to stick with Donuts. Only issues is donut due to their larger surface area have more friction than dots, so while they'll be compatible the initial friction will be higher.
@ Noted. Right now im looking at ghostglides cyclones donuts, would that be an upgrade over the jade donuts? I have tried dots on even softer pads and this artisan hien and yes tbvh it felt weird like what you said. Im gonna stick to donuts. Would the cyclones mini donuts be an upgrade? how does yours feel? Thank you for the replies from the donuts jade videos and the videos bfr this as well :)

Quality review! And a fantastic channel to stumble upon. Liked and subbed!
Glad you enjoyed the review!
Have the pink ones here. They're good. There are a lot of very solid glass pad skate options now. Just last year we had like 1 lol.
yeah the skate market this year is crazy, so many good skates, so hard to keep up 😭

Pretty much! Will have a video on the magic ice and black skates sometime in January!

@@tsukaruu157 im using it on cloth pad. if durable what you looking, maybe try TJ-Exclusives Plastix. ppl said its the most durable skate for glass.

They seem to be kinda 50/50 depending on the pad type, some people say they last longer, other people say they have a shorter lifespan 😭
@mel0nFPS Thats interesting, normally my 004 destroys skates faster than all my other glasspads and thats all I've been using them on.

I love their magic ice skates. Basically identical in feel and look to tiger ice v2s.
Thats because all UWS skates are OEM from the same factory
Hey Mel0n, whats your current overall top pick on skates for glass?
Obsidian Air Dots or Donuts are my pick, if you want more control you can go for the Obsidian Pro Air dots/donuts too!

PTFE skates are too soft and thin to last months, if you want longevity then you need to use harder materials, but you will lose speed doing that.

How do they compare to Obesdian air pros
Much faster than the Obsidian Pros, they preform like a middle ground between the X-RayPad Jade & Obsidian dots.
great video!
difference silverfox vs magic ice skates?

are jade dots still the fastest though?
From my testing yes, only thing that comes close is the ESP Tiger ICE, but those skates have a ton of adhesive issues so I don't recommend them.
