It was a time that most Indian bands used to play covers (championed by Parikrama) and that was the norm and the way to get gigs. I still remember the front row crowd asked Motherjane to play covers and got a reply from the band - if you wanna listen to Metallica then you should go to a Metallica concert. THE BEST EDITION of GIR in my humble opinion...absolute legendary songs here Mindstreet, PSP12, Free world, Candywalk(although original version has featured before), Forever Never,Awaken....What a list!! I'm sure this inspired a lot of guys who are today making great music across India...
dear sohan thank you for making me relive my teenage age the RSJ MAGAZINEs were brought back then with CDs i was also the kid always waiting for the next issue and learning the guitar i am in in my 30s- 40s now but this album made me the teenage kid again i wanted to relive those days and i found your channel here indian rock was so great back then !!` thanks a ton thanks to legend Amit saigal

It's sad that - This great Indian Rock did not get the nourishment ,it could have been the force of a kind and a new wave of music that is long awaited and due in our country to uplift the spirit of the national soul might inspire the latent genius within to go out express their heart

Rsj please upload the album of great sri lankan rock please please... i have one favorite song. Rsj once release sri lankan rock songs with the magazine. I still remeber as i always read rsj back then.

Still got those RSJ magazines. I had a Philips tape player, n a car tape fixed to my bed stand. Especially loved when the casette ejected
