Perhaps that "apes will learn, i will learn!" scene is hands down one of the best motion capture acting and line delivery I have seen. It's spine-chilling to see that, although the apes are still evolving, they are also slowly cultivating crude humane emotions of anger, fear, satisfaction, and euphoria.
Its be kind of neat to see Andy Serkis play Taylor crash landing back on earth.

I'm guessing the King is a decendant from koba and the main one (Noa) I think is a decendand from Cesar as he has his look

I want to see more planet of the apes movies. I already seen that film (2001) planet of the apes and that movie was really good. Also, that film needs to make a sequel that he is stuck on that planet with full of apes that he is nowhere to run.

This movie is set a few centuries in the future from the previous movies so there won’t be any possibility of characters from the other movies in this one. Still looking forward to it though
Oof, you're behind. Koba officially died in Dawn. Returned in War but only in Ceaser's nightmares. And this movie is set 3 centuries after War, so Koba and everyone from his era is dead.

So is there any Ceasar descendants in this movie? I remember he still had a child left at the end of the last movie. This movie takes place 300 years after that. I love this series but it be great if one of them was Caesars grandkid
It’s Noah (the main character) I didn’t even notice till now but you can actually see he has the birth mark that ceasar has (on the right of his chest)
Yes, but 300 years will be about 10 - 15 generations later. So he will be his great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandson at least.
@@Stephen-yw9snApe generations are much faster as they reach adulthood quicker and die younger than humans. That’s why there were so many apes in Dawn after just 10 years.

Looks pretty good, not sure it can live up to the brilliant Planet of the apes trilogy (Caesar), but could be great too.
I noticed the voice of the orangutan is different. They should've kept same voice, if it's same ape from the trilogy.

I never find it believable when humans revert to "cavemen" and don't just have a bunch of cool wood tools and mechanisms with basic metals. We're a brilliant species and will adapt to most any situation.

I'm not a fan of the premise that insists upon a titular human female. That seems like a last minute executive decision to add relatability to viewing experience
We already have the premise of a charismatic conquerer who is excited to glean insight from human accomplishments. By itself, exploring conflict resolution behind that could be a two parter. The psyche of a chimpanzee isn't exactly well traveled. Meaning the scope of such an adventure*figuring out* what humans left behind, notwithstanding things like superstition, disease, politics, and communal rites will always be a part of the anthropic principle. Now we have intelligent athletic hominids who desire to model their dynasties after ours?
There's so much to tell without parading about this damsel in distress. It's like an inverse Tarzan situation. Now Jane is out here oonga boonga. I _want_ to see what it's like for Cesar jr to travel the domain. As I was saying earlier, the chimpanzee is local to forests. The only reason they prefer to be in the brush is because the trees provide cover from predators. Out in the fields and plains, they're going to need to learn how to build huts. A conquerer is going to desire ships and means of transporting cargo. He's going to instill serfdom and subsistence farming to suit his hired muscle
It's no longer about foraging for nuts, but gleaning grain. That's just how it goes. It doesn't matter if a bipedal creature has fur or bears a body with resemblance to a dolphin, the game of culture is maintaining power. The strong instill hierarchy and propagate ethics to maintain at the top. Also to reinforce their profile with serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin. All animals do it, it's just that most mammalian herds keep to their own habitat
He who desires to rule by way of knowledge has a desire to push his border from what distance the eye can draw. From the top of the tree to beyond the next hill. If this guy is even remotely philosophical about evolution, his self awareness would drive him to seeking out refinement to his genome. That's why we as humans are so hellbent on integration with the cloud. We want to transcend carbon constraints and navigate different planes of virtual space. It's not about present reality, but what one could do without the laws which govern the mind
