After an extremist militant group threatens their lives, a young couple is forced to flee their Christian missionary post in the Kalahari Desert. After being granted passage aboard a rickety plane, piloted by a corrupt smuggler, their escape to safety is nearly in reach. But when their aircraft loses power and crash lands, they discover a bigger threat awaits them as they find themselves stranded in the middle of an animal preserve populated by maneaters -- lions, leopards, and hyenas. Starring Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild), Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and Ryan Phillippe (Crash), Prey! is written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil (Vehicle 19).

I provided notes to the writer of this screenplay several years ago while working at a production house. Also developed a visual treatment for him. Didn’t realise the movie ended up getting made. Looks pretty close to how I imagined it (although I imagined an older pilot). Pretty cool to see it come to life. Back then it was titled “Kalahari”. Not a great title but certainly better than “PrEy!” 😅

Agreed however we can't ignore the fact that the gun the girl had in the end. Ultimately ended up in the hands of the predators in the Predators 2. They must explain that.
This is not the sequel to Prey (the predator movie). Its a lion movie and a sequel to Prey (the lion movie). For some reasons both movie have got same name.

Meu Deus, na quela época para as antigas tvs, esse filme seria monstruoso, mas para hoje com um publico mais exigente esse filme não passa de mais uma coletania para a o streme da sessão da tarde junto com a lagoa azul! I do like natural horror, but I hate the way 99% of this type of movie is made. It is hard to explain, only that I can see Jurassic Park in every single one of them (and no, It is not a good thing, Just stupid repetition). From the trailer, I can see this movie is no exception, Just the same as any other Natural horror. It is so frustrating, I Hope one day I get to see something really New within this subgenre.

Watched this lasting, sorely disappointed. It didn't make much sense. Like, I was waiting for the climax, and there was NONE! When you hear "Prey" You think....brutal attacks etc...... YOU SEE NOTHING in this movie! I was Praying it would be awesome....but nope!

Don't waste your time watching it, one of the low budget movie, every time there is some thing serious action its cuts to the different shot or everything will leave to your imagination.

Интересно что заставило Р.Филлипасниматься в этом второсортном г..вряд ли в таких фильмах предлагают высокий ганорар
