It's refreshing to see a happy family and a strong marriage on UA-cam. That's rare these days. Doesn't matter what the channel name is, people are watching cause yall are real and relatable.

I've been watching you guys since the apartment & 0 kids. Love how life has changed for you. Keto or not I still look forward to your videos! Parenting is hard and exhausting, but so amazing too. We have 7...ages 21 down to 6 months...all about 3 or 4 years apart. Never a dull moment!!!

I love Megha's parental takeaways. I can relate as a mom. It gets better as you go and you definitely grow into it. If you try your best as a parent, and keep the children's needs a priority, it's a win. There's of course a lot that goes into it, but parenting is a fun, humbling journey.

You're great parents. I don't mind so much that you've left straight keto; it's still a wonderful show. I kinda wish that you'd explain - if it's not too personal - if you guys left keto in any way because of Meghna's illness. I love the book reviews.

The baby/toddler years are physically the most demanding . The elementary school ages are the easiest , but you begin all the sports/activities driving so that gets harder. The teen years and into college are the hardest by far. All the activies, emotionally spent, dealing will all the teen angst one minute, but needing to help them through breakups, sport injuries, bullying, all of that is hard for the parents. My youngest son just turned 21 2 days ago and I was so stressed since he was going out to celebrate in his college town with his friends when he already told me he was going to party hard lol.(I got a proof of life text the next day) The good thing is as long as you are there for them and support them, they will still want your input and they all want to come back and visit as adults. I have one that lives a few miles away and 1 who is moving back and they are getting ready to start families and want to be near us so all the kids can grow up together. As long as I survive my youngest getting through college, I will have considered my parenting job as success.

Hey guys, I've missed you! The boys are growing beautifully.
Yes, toddlers are hard work. They say that when they're young they wear your body out and when they're older, they wear your soul out. This is so true, my kids are all grown now, but I felt that each phase had pros and cons. Tough as it may be, enjoy it, they'll be all grown soon.
You guys are doing a fantastic job!

Parenting is hard. But it’s awesome because we get to relive the wonder of the world through our kids.

Oh I cannot imagine my life without kids! They are a ton of hard work, heartbreak (when bad things happen to them), and unadulterated joy! I am 75 and have 5 grandchildren and you are correct-being a grandparent is the greatest! I will tell you this-when they go to school there be many times when other kids are not nice but I think in the long run, we have to have some hardships in life or we grow up not knowing how to handle the bad times and there will always be bad/hard times for each and every one of us. You are raising two very lovely children. They all go through phases and change on a regular basis. They are usually outgoing when they are 6 and under and then they realize that they are being judged by their peers and become much less spontaneous. Teens were actually my favorite time with my kids. And now they are adults with kids of their own. So enjoy each and every stage-you are great parents! Have fun! Oh and the acupuncture-it worked wonders on my knees when I was in my 30's but not so much on my restless leg problem. Nothing works all the time and on everybody.

2 kids under 4 is NOT "in the home stretch." You have no idea what you're in for later. I only had one and he was quite a handful. There are phases of good, better, and then it reverts to horrible. He's 32 now with 2 of his own and I finally feel like I'M in the home stretch! It's the hardest job but it's worth it. It's a job you have for life, no matter how old your kids get.

I say just like the children, most channels go through phases pending on where ppls life journey is at. You both are experiencing on of the best and most memorable journeys so enjoy every bit of each stage bc it’s over before you know it. The viewers also evolve with the changes and in the end everything should fall exactly where it should be.

Single parent here and son born with a syndrome. My career took a big hit. Lots of struggles. And now he is going to college. Straight A’s, captain of cross country teams, numerous awards. No driving tickets or accidents. All without religion!

Kids are hard but you can make it harder on yourself by not having clear boundaries. Parenting is definitely worth it and we have to settle example of how to behave appropriately in situations. Agree with you about society dumbing down, it seems everything has to be instant nowadays. Great that you are reading regularly, such a good pastime to have.

I agree with you that each phase in a child's life is only temporarily but I don't think parenting gets easier. Mine are all adults now. Each age n stage has its own pro's and cons and you never stop worrying about them no matter how old they get. Theo is testing boundaries, its normal for his age and it will pass. My favourite ages with my children was about 4 -10yro.

I’m 46. When I was a kid we sang & rapped songs like Push It and Secret Lovers. Jodeci sang about sex nonstop. It wasn’t all Menudo, New Edition, and NKOTB.
Just like today it’s not just WAP. It’s also KPop which is WILDLY popular.
Every generation looks back this way. But great art and thinkers are still here. The onus is on us to find substance and that pursuit is a lot more rewarding than assuming it doesn’t exist.

We have 2 kids that’s are 2 years apart ( 2 and 4 ) parenting is hard and it’s exhausting. We are definitely in the thick of it and we work full time. Your days are spent running around doing everything for them and by the time you get them to bed you’re too exhausted to do anything 😂 but you wouldn’t trade the world for them and they are the best thing that has ever happened to you! It goes by quickly and one day it won’t be like this or at least that’s what I keep telling myself as I sip my 2nd coffee to get through the day ❤😂

nah, society has always been this way, it just becomes more apparent as you get older. pop songs are "popular" songs, they don't have to be good. idiocracy is just a parody of the extreme but it can't really happen. humanity would have also collapsed long before that point anyway

And you guys are doing a wonderful job I wish every other parent did the same having your tablet is the worst feeling in the world because you can’t fight their battles for them especially when they’re in middle school and high school you can just teach them how much they are worthy and how smart they are and how valuable they are. You guys are doing amazing job. This is the hardest part, the toddler stage, and each year it does get easier mom of twin boys

Loved Banshees too. You might like "My Dinner With Andre", two mean having a conversation about life. If your looking for any new fiction to read I would recommend almost anything by Dean Koontz, Watchers, The Taking and Odd Thomas are a few of my favorites. They are more supernatural but he also writes some great horror, like throw the book across the room because it's too scary. Always happy to see a video from you two to catch up, good to see Megha looking so well.

Matt I wanna say I look forward to your book updates, you inspire me to read more.
Which i do read alot, lately been reading the entire fiction of Hp Lovecraft.
So, I'm kinda bogged down in that right now 😆 but every story he tells is really good and interesting. It's like watching a good episode of Goosebumps before you go to bed. His way of writing can be hard for me to follow, but even when you're lost his words paint such interesting pictures.
But i wanna read more classics like The Illiad and Oddysee, The Jungle, Moby Dick, etc.
I also wanna read some (pseudo?) science type stuff just for the fun of it. Fingerprints of the Gods, Secret Machines, Sex at Dawn.
    Also, wanna read Sapiens.
I obviously have too much I want to do and not enough time to do them 😅

I have 5 kids, and after 2-3, I think it's more difficult as They get older, in my opinion. Examples are with other kids like you were saying, being mean or bullying. When they are in school and homework. dealing with school issues and kidd at school. They always seem to bring a sickness home from school. I have Autistic child, and dealing with the school with an IEP is hell! I have to fight with the school district. when children are little, it's a different kind of stage with needs. As They age, they go to school and are around other kid's, temptations, and other thing's can make it difficult.

I haven’t been on keto in forever but I still lean on protein and fats. I think is a healing diet because people naturally demonize them so it helps overcome that thinking. Plus you have children now, so they won’t eat just keto. I have 5 kids and I can tell you it gets easier. The first day I had my first born, I was like what have we done??? My older 3 are my big helpers. “Little adults” like you said. And my babies can do no wrong. 😂

I don’t think there will ever be an end to something when it comes to raising kids. There are different phases, yes. But each phase is going to present new challenges and new problems. And each child will be different. I have a unique prospective on this because my three are so different in age. 17, 7, and 4. You think, I just got to get through this phase. Then the next phase happens and BAM! So you keep just repeating that. Just got to get to the next phase. You think it gets easier once they can take care of themselves more. And in some ways it does. But parenting teenagers is hard work too. Just a different kind of way. In fact it’s my 17 year old and my 4 year old that fight with each other most. 🤦‍♀️

I’m 65 years old and I have two biological children and two foster children. I have a lot of grandchildren and it does not get easier. It’s absolutely more difficult when they become teenagers and also young adults. I still worry about my kids every day, and my grandkids. And they still rely on me for a lot of advice. You will go to your grave worrying about your kids and loving them with all of your heart.

2 live crew was a big thing when I was 12. I think you're just over thinking it, kind of like diets.

Matt, read "Supernatural" by Michael S Heiser PhD or if you like footnotes and a deeper dive; then read the more scholarly version "Unseen Realm"

I have a child with autism and it was SO SO hard when he was young so we made the choice not to have any more children. For anyone who has kids with autism in my experience it does get easier.
I’m not Keto anymore and I gained 30 lbs. 😭

You think it gets easier. And you do have more freedoms as they age. However, teenage years, even when you have good kids, are so tough. Watching them struggle and hurt. And not because you don't want them to struggle, but because I feel like elder millennial parents are more plugged into emotions in a good way. And it's hard.
