Am I the only one who loves Nivelle Nights? Just the feel of it. Wish there was an operation with it so I could play on it more consistently

Brusilov Keep is a shit map on Conquest - too many snipers hiding EVERYWHERE - I get annoyed and I am PLAYING mostly as a sniper (running around capping flags) - people never heard of ASDW (playing on PC) when playing on this map.

I'm personally not a fan of Brusilov. Way to much sniping and camping with most flags being too open with very little flanking potential. Building engagements are dice and the behemoth can influence the game well but overall I think most other maps are more enjoyable.
I only play as Scout and Support and haven't even tried out the Medic and Assault classes as much. Firstly because it takes too many shots at close range to land damaging shots, with either class. And historical accuracy wise - semi and full-autos were rarely distributed in numbers worth considering to frontline troops from either of the battling sides.
PeopleCanFly23 On PS4, it always seems to get voted on mixed conquest.
Kaiserschlact on operations is my favorite both attacking and defending.

I think Passchendaele is the best map in bf1. Even though the dlc as a whole was disappointing passchendaele has a great mix of good cover, fun, it’s the most accurate representation of bf1, replayability and vehicle/infantry mix. We just need operations for it now
That Shooting Guy It should be in a single map operation, it doesn't tie in to the other maps with the theme of the war

The best map to me is Rupture because of how beautiful it looks, and it still somehow fits into the WWI setting.

Passchendaele looks amazing, but I think it's clear it's a bit unbalanced. Most games I play end with an endless fight at the church and a German win.

Ya I think that as well the Russian dlc was super hyped but the maps weren't that good except for Albion
Ascend Rebel The guns were interesting, and the maps were decent. Soissons and Fort De Vaux and Verdun Heights are incredible but Rupture is straight garbage

I enjoy playing everyone, but I personally enjoy some more than others.

they all have their good moments - it's just that some have more good moments than others, hence why they're favourites.
I only dislike Galicia, and I despise Verdun. I do enjoy the rest of the maps.

nope..i rate it in my top 3. very balanced and difficult to lockdown. also the start points actually protrude into the map so you are never far from the action. Also has the trench raider kit which is just awesome.
Who else loves the birds chripping on that map its a nice touch :)

Its was the first map that offered something diferent. Infantry and vehicule gameplay are really well balanced, and it probablly is the best looking map. Besides that, it was the first map where both teams could have different Behemonts...

Favorite maps:
1. Fort de Vaux. Enjoy the CQB. Love the flow. It's crazy.
2. Ballroom Blitz. Wasn't a fan at first but it's grown on me. Got a little bit of everything for ya.
3. Amiens. Not really a big fan of it to be honest because I feel it's kinda overplayed but in fairness I will say it's probably the best designed overall, especially with conquest in mind. And clearly the fact it's played so much only proves how much people like it and generally give it great feedback.
Least favorite Maps:
1. Tsaritsyn. Too linear imo. Once you take B, your team can lock down the enemy with relative ease.
2. Heligoland. Only played it a handful of times compared to other maps but not a fan.
3. Suez. It's better than what it was but I'm still not a fan.

I agree with most but I really love Tsaritsyn. Never too open and there are often good moments at flags a or c depending on who is getting dominated. Also, the multiple ways into B are great for flanking. I do detest Galicia and don't know why people pick it.

I'm suprised that the community enjoys Fao Fortress that much, considering that the map is obviously in the favor of the Ottomans on conquest, since they have their gimme flag and their fortress right next to their spawn (G, F and E). And the Brittish only have 1 flag close to them (A). At least if we are talking about balance here...

i like all the base maps in the game but the 2 i listed or my worse favorite. i have the dlc but didn't really count those maps towards this however my top 3 i like better then any dlc maps.

I absolutely love Nivelle nights and Verdun Heights, it's a shame no one votes for nivelle when it comes up.

It's sad that the rest of the BF1 maps didn't follow the same formula. Quality > Quantity of maps.
So yeah, majority of BF1 map design has been a huge letdown. Even BF4 had many good, high re-playable DLC maps.

One of the biggest complaints for bf4 was its map design, especially coming off of bf3.
I love lupkow pass. Don’t know why but I was so excited for the Russian dlc and seeing the first gameplay of the dlc on this map was so exciting and I loved playing it with the mosin infantry. It was so great!

I always vote for it cuz of how beautiful it is. My first time spawning in as the Russians up on that gap in the mountains I was absolutely blown away by the view
My top 3 personal favorite maps:
1.Verdun Heights: To me this objectively the best map in bf1, the Hellish scenery with the fire everywhere is done so good, and just gives of the vibe of an actual WWI battle. The map is open too and also has a perfect OST to go with it, there's nothing I don't like about it tbh because I think it's perfect
2. Rupture: It has very great scenery especially because of the poppy fields and it's so fun to play it on Operations because you get to play the actual full map instead of it being smaller in Conquest. The only thing I don't like about it is that the German side has an advantage on Conquest because the objectives are closer to their spawn. Other than that I think it's an excellent map.
3. Tsaritsyn: I like this map a lot because it's set in a way where you adapt to it using any class, there's buildings on the side where you can snipe from, and it's the perfect map to play assault class on because of the Kremlin building, which give you opportunities to use dynamite on chokepoints, AT rocket guns, and incendiary grenades. Overall a good map. It just sucks that I can't play on it a lot because the In the Name of Tsar DLC maps don't show up on PS4 a lot.
Bottom 3:
Empire's Edge: I don't like it because of the same reasons of AKA-ART, to open has way way too many places on the map where Snipers can just camp the whole round, the hills above objective C for example is just basically a nest for snipers. And tbh it's one of those maps that are just there to me.
2. Sinai Desert: Same reasons as Empire's Edge
3. Giant's Shadow: Feels bland and just recycled, nothing really interesting about it.

Why because these are the closest to classic battlefield maps offering options for all kinds of players, maybe not much of an infantry focus.

Lack of flanking on all these maps. All focused on infantry a single/few choke points with isn't really fun imo

Ok Gaming yes but these also are the main meat grinder maps. Nivelle Nights, Prise de Tahure, achi baba, fort vaux, and the fan favorite Amiens are also infantry oriented but have flanking routes, good amount of cover and a decent map size to play your way. More replay ability than my least favorite.
Also giants shadow has all the normal vehicles you find in a classic battlefield map, but the linear map layout and lack of cover makes it a less favorable map.
Agreed, but unfortunately BF1 is lacking in vehicles, planes are okay but not enough unique tanks. That's why BF V will bring more interesting vehicle gameplay. I am generally nit fan of infantry maps, but some of them are fun.
The best map for me is one I haven't played for a while. I'd love to play Giant's Shadow again, but due to the stupid voting system it never gets chosen :( For the same reason I am sick of playing on Ballroom or Amiens, no matter how good they are - too much i stoo much. I don't know why people ditch variety when they are presented with it and go for the same thing again and again :(
i honestly want to puke every single time i have to play on amiens or ballroom blitz, though infantry is fun in those maps, vehicle gameplay is nothing short of disgusting, tbh they might as well remove tanks and the train from amiens
True, i'd love to see an infantry only version of amiens. I don't like giants shadow a lot, i do enjoy flying planes there tho.

1. Verdun heights, not only is it a gorgeous and unique map, but it also (in my experiences) has perfect balance for all of the classes to be equal in different situation. A truly unique experience for me.
2. Fort de vaux, really fun on operations and also pretty unique. Always have a blast on this maps.
3. Heligoland Bight, great combination of infantry and and vehicle combat. Also is a very gorgeous map. Not to mention the naval combat is the most fun I’ve had in a video game in awhile.
4. Amiens, very fun close quarters gameplay, also a very unique map.
Worst Maps
1. Fao Fortress, you ever step out of cover just to see seven enemy scope glares to all appear at once?
2. Sossions, had potential, but it’s too small and elevated for a map that vehicle oriented.
3. Galacia, I hate this map with a passion. Pretty much a snipers wet dream. If you like realism of ww1 play this map. You will be gunned down with the rest of your team the second you step out of the trenches. Literally just a flat field with some buildings and trenches. Lacks creativity and fun.
4. Cape Helles, I don’t flat out hate this map. I can have fun on it, it just kinda disappointing. When I first heard Gallipoli was coming to battlefield I was so hyped. I thought it would be a gritty beach invasion with large waves of infantry storming the beach, what it turned out to be is asshole snipers hiding in the landing ship and like half of the team actually storming the beach.

This map is amazing on all game modes, but especially Operations. Plenty of sniping opportunities, CQC battles in the castles and trenches, and allows tanks and planes to have a chance here.
I don't remember seeing Ballroom Blitz in the video, but I think it's definitely in the top 5.

I like Ballroom Blitz. Even though there are always campers on the roof, it's a really good feeling when you take them out. I also enjoy close quarters maps, such as Fort de Vaux and Amien, because it makes players use classes other than scout, limiting the amount of sniper campers there will be.
My pick for the worst map on bf1 would have to be Giant's Shadow. I dunno.. never really liked this map. Not sure why.

Jezza gotta hate Galicia. Trying to play assault on that map never gets you anywhere
The crashed zeppelin in the middle is a cool idea, but it’s always a clusterfuck when I go in there. Too much shit to get stuck on, can’t navigate it easily.
They aren't really campers, they're just snipers covering their teammates from enemy sniper and machine gun fire

This says a lot about the state of the players currently - i was a 24/7 bf3/bf4 player and i love cape helles, Albion, rupture, verdun heights, brusilov keep, volga river, prise de tahure, Monte Grappa and st quentin scar - i hate all the other maps especially fort de vaux
I like suez on frontlines but one team will have the advantage because of a sand dune at the first objective blocking your view from that entire team, but usually if you can break through you can win

Top 3 - St Quentin's scar, Tupkow Pass, Monte Grappa. Bottom 3 - Ballroom Blitz, Prise de Tahure, Fort de Vaux
I would say that, by design, the best maps are 1. Sinai Desert 2. St. Quintain Scar 3. Ballroom Blitz while the worst are 1. Fort de Vaux 2. Tsaritsen 3. Literally all Apocolypse maps aside from Somme.
I value maps design wise on how balanced each class is, so on the best map all classes are balanced while the worst, the classes are not. Now, on the fun factor, best are 1. Fort de Vaux 2. Tsaritsen 3. Ballroom Blitz, while worst are 1. Zeebrugge 2. Heligoland Bight 3. Galicia. But that's just my opinion.
Best: 1. Lupkow Pass 2. For de Vaux 3. Achi Baba
Worst: 1. Rupture 2.Brusilov Keep 3. Cape Helles
best maps . graphics wise . that look the best most next gen looking maps . 1 ACHI BABA . 2 SUEZ 3. ST QUINTIN SCAR . 4 .HELLIOGLAND BIGHT . 5 . FORT VAUX (most realistic looking map in any shooter ever made so far) 6. PASSENDALE (looks amazing and classic for ww1 ..7. ARGONNE FORREST 8 . BALLROOM BLITZ .

I am really liking the Apocalypse infantry maps.
Top three:

2. Sinai Desert (mostly for vehicle gameplay)
3. St. Quentin Scar
Bottom Three:
Galicia is the worst (especially on operations). Also bad are Caporetto and Verdun Heights.
Zeebrugge is fun about 50% of the time. The rest, it’s a spawn kill for one team.

1. TSNP (excellent maps and weapons plus the introduction of frontlines)
2. Apocalypse (I know its small but the new maps and weapons are really good imo)
3. ITNOTT (good weapons, mediocre maps imo)
4. Turning Tides (browning m1917 was the only thing I liked from that release)
i love brusilov keep, achi baba, Łupków pass is good on tdm, argonne forest, suez is decent, fao fortress, zebrugge and helligoland, passchendaele, nivelle nights, sinai desert on tdm only and Caporetto because its so good for cavalry.

I also hate the Russian map where players can hide in the big ass building and kill anyone trying to get in
