- Summernats 36 Friday afternoon session. Supercharged and turbo'd V8's are at Street Machine Summernats 36 at Canberra Exhibition park.
In this video we see:
- The obnoxiously loud Keep it Reet PSI60 VL wagon with its quad turbo stack proudly extending out the bonnet above the roof line and shooting flames as unburnt fuel ignites.
- The police and security evict a Yellow Kingswood whilst the crowd cheers on and beg for 1 more skid.
- Overkill the supercharged twin turbo Barra.
- The RWD converted Yellow LS powered Suzuki Swift.
- The JDM inspired superlow Low Standards quad rotary VL.
- Fans Gee’ing up drivers to do skids.
- TyreBoy repping a steel banded tyre proudly as if he had won Miss Australia.
- Shirtless warriors repping fine rigs.
- The Mazda Bass guy and the strange looks from the crowd.

How shitty the cops are? Have you seen the feral behaviour of some of these idiots inside the event? The cops are called BY security because those in the event AREN’T following the rules and screw it for all of us.
The cops aren’t even inside the event patrolling, security are. So if they call the cops, there’s a reason. Don’t be bashing the cops, who are the most tolerant police in Oz. If we’re not careful, severe restrictions will be placed on the event, especially if someone is injured as a result of violent behaviour or running out onto the road to Rev up a driver.

All the entrants cars have to go thru scrutiny at another location for vehicle inspections, this takes along time before the car is or isn't passed to enter.
It's like a pride of lions rumbling along and then an angry hornet starts attacking the microphone (V8s V rotaries).
All part of nature... I used to agree , but admit Rotaries have grown on me a little over the past few years

You dont understand there is a huge safety issue to drivers, spectators (over 45,000), workers (a few thousand +) etc and if there were no rules, security, crowd control & cops, you don't realise the deaths that WOULD happen!!!

what is it with so many of the islanders security being absolute flogs.
There is heaps of footage all over Facebook that shows the security fights was an isolated incident within an hour. In defence of the organisers they outsourced the security and within an hour the security provider stood down the pink vested security that punched on with the punters.

Dad used to drive us up to Bathurst from Melbourne in the 70s...l loved the XY's and XC's...the Holden's seemed flimsy in comparison. One thing l remember clearly was the sheer number of hot L34's and A9X 's passing us on the way there and back. I think it's interesting that all of these old Holden's are still so popular and I'm not a fan of some of the silly comments you get here. Thanks for s7ch an interesting vid.

There are many cars which will sit in the garage until next years summernats. For me personally I'd prefer to see the daily driven car with some battle scars having fun and being enjoyed vs the trailer queens
