when Carlos smiles at your solo, it means you got the blues.
Carlos smile near 5 minutes says it all..
To have legendary Carlos Santana call out your name to the audience like that would be mind blowing. The young Mr. Sullivan has played with some of the biggest names and yet remain grounded. Props to his parents for raising such a awesome young man. I hope for the chance to see him in person.
....Mr young SULLIVAN..thrilled even
his idol Mr Santana with a slight and
controlled SMILE...... Amazing !!!
To watch Carlos Santana stop playing and listen to Quinn’s solo..that says a lot!
I didn't expect him to put Carlos to shame and I wasn't disappointed.
3:57 Oh WOW! I thought Carlos was playing great (as usual) until Quinn came in and BLEW IT AWAY!!!
Fantastic!
If you can earn a smile like that from the great Carlos Santana, you are no slouch.
Makes me proud to have the maiden name of Quinn.
Carlos was obviously happy to see the boy’s chops!
I like how he clapped at the end ... you knew he forgot he was on stage for a fewseconds and was applauding Santana as a starry-eyed fan!
He's plainly "sitting in' here so what impresses me is the way Quinn is so fully "there", so fully relaxed, and digging it
like he's been in Santana's band for years.
Very lucky kid. He played with Clapton, Guy, Santana etc.
Because he is so damn talented
@@Bluenblack17 There is no doubt about that. I love this kid and he is very lucky.
don't forget bb.
it ain't luck - it is talent!!
Awesome 👏👏👏
Much love from Africa my guitar King 🙏❤❤❤
Keep Quinn away from drugs & drink , then he will master them all. Go man go. I'm 71 & I could get down to this. My backbone & legs JUST want to move. Which is amazing when you consider my arthritis. LOVE, love it!
Quinn plays guitar since age 3. When he was 7 years old Buddy Guy toured through his hometown and called Quinn on stage to play with him. And guess who had the last note and laugh at this battle. From this moment on Buddy Guy was his Mentor and took him in the school holydays to places like Red Rocks, Eric Claptons Crossroads, Gathering of the Vibes ... the list is endless. BB King and Buddy Guy told once in an interview they gave that Quinn Sullivan is the greatest guitar talent in the past 40 years. There is nothing else to say. Keep on rolling young man.
its so great that nowadays we have so many records of him from an early young age to see his career improvement thanks to cameras and youtube. Imagine the old days with this tech.
shit i sound like a boomer, but its true
look at christone kingfish ingram
Holy Cow! The man can play! To be playing next to the legend say a lot for itself!!!
Props to Quinn for being patient and being a great rhythm player ... and then when he had his chance... made his statement. What the heck are they feeding these kids... I think it started with Derek Trucks and he is arguably blowing everyone away right now... but I think Quinn is definitely getting there.
I think Derek Trucks is the best "young" active electric guitar player right now.... I agree that Quinn is setting himself up to achieve really great things with the guitar
Quinn is not "getting there"...he's THERE.
You should check out Taj Farrant.
Quinn smacks of Clapton with a dose of Keef. Skill and attitude.
Quinn the new star on the R&B heaven. Super super.
Carlos enjoying the solo and thinking : "yeah, there´s still future for good music".
Quinn is watching and learning :) he keeps looking at Carlos!
I would LOVE to see Carlos and Quinn do a show with Buddy Guy and Michael Corleto at Bank of NH in Gilford next year.
It would be an amazing Blues experience!!!
Can you make it happen???
PLEASE!!!
I saw Quinn and Buddy play together about 4 years ago in Lowell, MA. I was BLOWN AWAY by this young man extraordinaire!!
I LOVE BANK OF NEW HAMPSHIRE PAVILLION!!!! Going to see Dave Matthews Band there for a third summer this year!
I'd love to see Dave Matthews band!
with all due respect to Santana, Quinn's solo was by far the highlight of this performance. I first saw him in the now famous video with Buddy Guy where he's all of what, 7 or 8 (and looks even younger) and he just kills it, and "kills" Buddy Guy too, been a fan ever since. a grounded, stand-up kid (OK "kid" to me, I'm old) too. anyone who isn't talking about or at least appreciating this great talent for many years to come is simply clueless.
quinn yeah the future...
How the HELL does this only have 556 views and 30 thumbs up?

A guitar god in the making!
As was done for Carlos. He owes this debt to legends like Jerry Garcia, Bill Graham, and to his own gods. Peace to all!
Legend and a future legend.
WOW 👍That was great 😍❤️💯
Super Session
WOW! just WOW! 👍
Dude that solo was DIIIIIIRTY. So good! Thanks for sharing your talent, bro!
WOW Quinn you are sooooo good ... AMAZING!!
AWESOME.
You are Soooo Awesome!!!😊👍👍👍👍❤
I remember Neal Schon jumping into this song with Carlos back in the 70's in an outdoor festival in N.C.! He looked just like he was seeing heaven! I hope you also get a chance to jam with Neal, Quinn! God Bless you, Carlos, and all the band members who keep life fun!
that was awesome...seen Carlos at Woodstock 69' he just gets better and better and i wasn't tripping this time LOL
My first concert was Bill Haley and the Comets. Saw Santana live more times than any other group. Truly timeless!
Great artists love discovering new talent.

Fabuleux!
Wow! You are so talented. Seriously
I just now looked down and saw that this is Quinn's channel. I started following him when he was a child. Check him out doing a solo onstage, in Portland, with Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang.
Fantastic!! 🎶 🎸
Holy fuck.
Always fabulous
Love this so much!
Awesome
great job Quinn.
The vive is great. Wonderful musicians and Carlis Santana is incredibly good.
It sounds good on ukelele, too.
Maraviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilhosos!
Fuckin kill me now if I got to play with Carlos
this,is,the,real,q
Miracles happan ??
I have a feeling Carlos was a savant/prodigy, as well.
That must have been quite a blast for you. Up there playing with a living legend!
And I think you did quite well but maybe tried a little too hard. I think you just tried to squeeze in a few too many notes at times to the detriment of the feel of the solo, the flow was interrupted slightly once or twice, but it was still really great.
I wonder how Carlos Santana would compare him with Billy Strings?
PS I'm sorry but Carlos, wtf with the hat. You look like a grandpa gearing up for a fishing trip lol
All the players look like they are having a good time except that female drummer. She looks terrified and winded and like she can't keep up the pace. She is playing well but still, she looks like the only one not enjoy the music. The other drummer is smiling and seems to be having a really good time. Odd!
