At 61 years of age, getting ready to retire, getting discarded because she wanted the money not knowing what a narcissist is is pretty devastating

The only way to outsmart a narcissist is not to marry one.

I am in the middle of a divorce with a narcissist. The lies, attacks and inconsistencies are breathtaking. His female lawyer has been successfully manipulated by him. My lawyer, the second one, does not understand the patterns of narcs. I am hoping for a reasonable judge. I feel like going to war. Luckily our children are grown up already. So much BS.

Narcissist are human beings and doesn't mean their feelings are not valid. Some people became who they are because of past experiences. We don't have the right to Judge them. We met narcissist people because Our Creator God put him/her in our life for some reason, for a purpose to change them, and, not to avoid or judge them but to still show respect that they probably didn't received that in their past experiences. We need to help them, they need to hear our voices!
No one is perfect. We are created with differences and we are all unique!
Our Purpose in this world is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER, and not to HATE!

I warned my lawyer about my soon to be ex husband and I think he's taking it lightly... It's so frustrating but I'm learning, Focus and gathering information... Also God is at the forefront of it all

Yours has got to be the most ridiculous comment I’ve read so far.
God has absolutely nothing to do with these people who suck the life out of you.
It sounds as though you’re trying to defend someone.
If God put narcissists here to challenge us, well that’s just plain evil.
It’s not up to any individual to “change” anyone other than ourselves if we see and feel the need.
Have you ever heard someone say that they believe they can “change” their abusive significant other, only to realize that they can’t? And if you actually think you can change a narcissist, you’ve got another “think” coming.

All I want is the inheritance money I lent my soon-2-b ex.
It is not communal property in his country to where he borrowed it.
I told him, I let you borrow the chance my mom left me - you promised to pay me back.
He blames me for him borrowing it now and doesn’t want to refund it.

I would suggest a coach over a therapist as most therapists are not equipped to identify a narcissistic partner and coaches can help you learn how to respond rather than react

There are specialized therapists, PhD level and above, who specialize in narcissism and PTSD etc... they can be very helpful. A life coach doesn't always have the education to help you cope for your particular trauma, as there are different types of narcissists.

I know exactly how to end things with a Narcissist…let them think they win and then gig them with an immediately demand that forces them off course and catches them by surprise.

DO NOT COMMUNICATE!! They twist your words and create imaginary issues. Mine is dead set that I cheated on him. Just walk away with grace. Nothing is worth compromising your peace. Buckle up though, it’s brutal. They will try and do everything to hurt you.

What if neither party wants to sell the house or move out, but the parties hate each other?
Will the judge order the home sold regardless of anything?

    • @IllinoisDivorceTV
      @IllinoisDivorceTV  11 місяців тому

The judge may order it sold, yes. Or the judge could order that one of the parties leave and be bought out. Depends on financials and best options to preserve the marital estate.

      Thanks.
      More details:
We have a 16 year old son who is established in his school. I have read that judges will usually not want the son to move out.
Also, I could live in the basement and she could live on the second floor.
I think "hate" was too strong of a word. I would LOVE just being ignored and left alone in the basement.

@@IllinoisDivorceTV I have no idea. I thought that before saying somebody was a narcissist they needed to have a diagnosis or something like that. I don't even know if that's relevant in a divorce. I live in Illinois. Can I have your office phone number? Thank you.
