I laughed sooooooo hard uncontrollably when Vegeta made his Azura Ape leg come down on Goku. Gotta be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And the editor put a fart noise in it too. Fire!
Gundam seed is fun as hell, i remember finding a TOD in the first hour of labbing it, its super broken cause overheads are turned up to 11 like looping hyperhop CD on almost grounded air dashes while giving you crazy mid air neutral and speed, its absolutely cracked.
KOF EX 1 and 2 were actually really good. You don't expect a GBA fighter to be fast, yet those two were actually just as dynamic as their Neo-Geo counterparts. Sadly, the OCs have some really bad sprites.
GGX, Supersonic Warriors, KOF EX2 and Sonic Battle were great fighters for the GBA. Flame of Recca and SFA3 too. Supersonic Warriors was also made by Arcsys, so in a way, the “DNA” of FighterZ can be traced back to that game.
"Who's Hsu Hao?" Bruh, even Ed Boon hates that guy where the only cameo he has is Erron Black's intro having him roll out his head to intimidate foes. Everyone hated that guy lmao!!!
That gba Gundam fighting game is really godlike. It's got legit combos, circular motions, charge moves, air dash, mix-ups, etc. All characters have a seed/berserk mode that can be activated whenever which will increase your damage output at the expense of draining armor. It'll also let you do super. You can only do berserk/seed mode and super once per round. It's best to play the Seed Destiny version. However it's only in Japanese but the menus are in English. Game was probably meant to be ported west but was canceled.
do another one of these for DS games and PSP games. There are so many ds and psp fighting games that are just straight up decent fighters but because they on a tiny portable console the graphics suck and the controls don't feel good to use. Maybe emulation could fix the controller thing but it don't change that the games still feel like a DS and PSP game instead of a proper console one. But seeing you react to them would be awesome.
I still play those gundam seed GBA games. The controls are designed for GBA with auto combos and stuff. I can even play that fast on an emu on my phone with touchscreen. The controls are that good.
Gundam seed fighter was legit good. I used to play the hell out of it. It's from the same design team as the old power rangers fighting game and the ninja turtles vs game.
7:15 I remember buying this game excited to have a DBZ Fighting Game on GBA and saw it was trash. Ended up selling it within a week. 10:10 On the other hand I bought this like 2 month after launch and realized I should’ve done more research which I usually do. I blame my fanboyism. First game was made by an American developer while Supersonic Warriors was done by Banpresto.
One of my friends was on the team that made it (Shaba). It is a pretty fun game, although the camera is a bit wonky. The GBA version was made by a different company.
Yo this was fun! You should give impressions of random fighting games you can find on Steam too sometime. I never played that Flames of Recca game - didn't even know there WAS a Recca game on GBA - but I did have a Rave Master GBA game that looked similar and it was pretty alright. Godzilla Domination looks good too; clearly whoever made that were fans of SNK's old King of the Monsters games. Out of all these though, I *desperately* want to see you play DBZ Taiketsu - that looks hilarious! Oh, I had KOF EX2 growing up; I actually really liked it, but it was the first KOF I ever owned. I bet Guilty Gear on the GBA ain't bad either, though those tiny bit-crushed sprites look _rough._ If you're gonna play portable GG, you _gotta_ check out Guilty Gear Petite 2 for the Wonderswan Crystal. _That_ game's awesome, and simplifies just the right amount of things to make it a great portable fighter. And hey I'll go to bat for Black Belt Challenge for that reason too; it's simple but feels pretty good for a pick-up-and-play session, believe it or not... though cross-ups get a little messy if I remember correctly. You're right about, like, how on the GBA you _cannot_ get that complex and players can't move that fast. It's gotta work with those tiny Lucky Charms Marshmallows they call buttons and a dpad. The ones that keep it simple tend to be best on the machine. Also, just gonna point out, Black Belt was made by Lost Boys Games. It's the only game they pushed out before changing their name... _to Guerrilla Games._ That's right - it's from the Killzone & Horizon studio. _*mind blown_ lol
I would love to see a Flame of Recca playthrough. Also the Godzilla one. Y'know what? Just run them all. Make a series of finding the best fighter on Gameboy. Hell, make a tier list and place them after each run.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is the game where I really learned how to do fighting game commands and it was a pretty good port for what it was. Stop bad mouthing my childhood Justin! Lol
Guilty Gear Advance is how I learned to understand how to do special moves....I picked it up after playing a GG Isuka cabinet, and LOVED them! ❤️ No apologies.
lol i remember when i used to work at Bank of America Mail room many years ago and i was cool with the research department floors and teh associate there would let me play and test that Atari DBZ Taiketsu fighting game there shown and i told him this is horrible. like really bad. He didnt want to listen for some funny reason and then he found out later it bombed smh
It's crazy to think that Game boy Advance is a 32 bit game system. A game that's 16 bit but pretty good is SNES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters. You should give that a try.
The GBA ports of ST and SFA3 were both...reasonable. Like, they weren't GREAT, but they weren't MK 🤣 That Gundam Seed fighting game was pretty bad, from what I recall 😅
The digimon Battle Spirit 2 and the Godzilla aren't bad games, those games are playable. But, the best on that list are Dragon Ball supersonic warriors (if you can get the supersonic warriors 2 for DS, play that version), Sonic Battle and Street Fighters.
I use to own Sonic Battle and DBZ Super Sonic Warriors back in the day those were good times. That Digimon spirits game was hot trash fire though. I loved the GBA even though I got burned by some of its shovelware as a kid.
I remember playing and beaten Dragon Ball Taikestu and Sonic Battle I can agree Tails is too good but I also would say Knuckles is too good because both of them can fly non-stop.
Yep, KOF EX1 sucks balls, and i really try to like it because of kinda being a portable 99 Evolution and having King, Geese and the NESTS characters as some cool little strikers, but it's just pretty bad, like the stiffest KOF ever and really slow. The butchered and almost monochromatic backgrounds and the horribly messed up audio (even for the GBA of all things) don't help either. With KOF EX2 they really got it right though. Surprising how after such a dumpster fire they actually made a excellent and really close remix of KOF 2000. The sound effects were the only bad thing about it IMO, they barely sound like hit effects.
I laughed sooooooo hard uncontrollably when Vegeta made his Azura Ape leg come down on Goku. Gotta be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And the editor put a fart noise in it too. Fire!
That was his leg?
I played the GBA version of Alpha 3 and Sonic Battle a lot as a kid. It's beyond impressive that they managed to port SFA3 on the GBA of all things
Sonic Battle was dope.
There is a really good video talking about the SFA3 port on the GBA on UA-cam somewhere. You should look it up!
Not only that, they actually managed to make it run pretty well too.
Totally true ,the original characters from this games looks out of place, almost like a mugen
Ex2 is good but sorry Ex1 is the worst KoF of all, the gameplay feels bad and the hit boxes are broken xDD
Ex2 was a gigantic leap forward over the first. The first had horrible sound samples and music, I swear it sounded like an nes game.
holy shit the cuttaway to Storm while he's talking about playing lame with Tails absolutely wrecked me hahaha
Alpha 3 on the gba is still pretty fun despite the hardware limitations 👍🏼
"Who's Hsu Hao?" Bruh, even Ed Boon hates that guy where the only cameo he has is Erron Black's intro having him roll out his head to intimidate foes. Everyone hated that guy lmao!!!
I'd love to see Justin play the Gundam SEED Destiny fighter. Either is fine but the Destiny one has a larger roster and a few minor tweeks and fixes.
That gba Gundam fighting game is really godlike. It's got legit combos, circular motions, charge moves, air dash, mix-ups, etc.

I can't lie, even though it's a mess, one of the locals near me used to host PS2 Shrek Super Slam and it was honestly a lot of fun.
Gekido Kintaro's revenge is pretty cool, also you should try KOF EX2, they fixed the mess the first game was
Gundam seed fighter was legit good. I used to play the hell out of it. It's from the same design team as the old power rangers fighting game and the ninja turtles vs game.

My man's kept the moon in his pocket, like" yea I'm need this later " 🤣🤣
"This game looks madd poverty!" 😂
There's a TAS on one of those mortal kombat games that's pretty hilarious, seizure warning on it though, and motion sickness lol
Too bad they didn't show Tekken on GBA. That was another "attempt" at trying to use 2d renders and mode 7 to simulate 3d gameplay.
I HAD THAT GAME!!
Holy shit i had that game too lol wasnt bad at all tbh
Well maybe from what I remember at least 🤣
Never new Gundam Battle Assault on Gba had a sequel but also... You didn't do SF2 Turbo. That SF game was the most broken because of shortcuts
"EX farts" XD
Ok but the gamecube version of Shrek Super Slam is the best competitive fighting game ever made
One of my friends was on the team that made it (Shaba). It is a pretty fun game, although the camera is a bit wonky. The GBA version was made by a different company.
Thought about a hand cam so some can watch your inputs when doing combo trials?
kinda genius actually LOL ill suggest it
Alpha 3, dragon Ball z taiketsu, dragon ball z super sonic warriors and sonic battle was my shit back in the day.
They've got my man Vegeta chuckin moons out here. And then he jumped after it 😂😂😂
1:31 Justin's reaction is the funniest thing I've ever seen
2:27 what is that number????🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
3:26 HAHAHAHAHA
9:29 maybe not haha
Only Shrek has a true "whiff" punish....
Yo this was fun! You should give impressions of random fighting games you can find on Steam too sometime.

i dunno i kinda wanna give them KOF's a try
The second one is a big improvement. Hit detection in the first seemed very off.
Oh maaan,I remember spending hours on Godzilla Domination
”Mad poverty” lmao 💀💀💀
Krillen is a freak.... he saw Android 18 pooping out missiles and said Yoooo.... I'ma make her my wife.
the zatch bell one is pretty interesting. Super decent, would recomend you check it out just for the "puppet" mechanic
8:04 I don't remember that ever happening in the show either. Maybe the manga, but I doubt it.
What do you mean? I remember when 18 learned Hidden Missiles from Doom
When was this streamed?
The Godzilla game looks like a Re-skin of King of the Monsters.
Justin you need to do a play through of DBZ Hyper Dimension on SNES. It’s an all time classic!
Imagine Justin and Tim The Tatman Taylor chatting to each other in a room BRO. I would LITERALLY un-install my EARS.
EX FARTS😂😂😂😂😂
the gundam seed one is kinda nice.
DBZ Supersonic Warriors for the GBA was pretty good, but Supersonic Warriors 2 on the DS was OD.
I low key want to see Wong trying out KoF EX2, Sonic Battle and the Gundam games :p
You definitely should try Bleach blade battlers 2nd it is similar power stone and urban reign, and it is one of the best arena fighters
I would love to see a Flame of Recca playthrough. Also the Godzilla one.
Y'know what? Just run them all. Make a series of finding the best fighter on Gameboy. Hell, make a tier list and place them after each run.
Damn they gave Shrek fart setups??? Broken
Thanks for the Sauce Justin!
Sonic battle was super fun!
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper is the game where I really learned how to do fighting game commands and it was a pretty good port for what it was. Stop bad mouthing my childhood Justin! Lol

Ahh yes the days of GBa fighting games, and absolute terrible time for my fingers & eyes 😂
Android 18 got missiles oh my god my childhood is complete
Supersonic Warriors was amazing! Spent hours on my GBA and a few more hours emulating it.
the thing about the two KOF to gba is, the second kof Ex is actually good.
it also has some characters that didnt appear in any other game
I know it wasnt on the video but you should try mike tysons punch out
Gpa mortal kombat be litty. 😂
Killer instinct was top tier with Mk
although it wasnt shown
i played the hell out of SF2 on GBA. And for a while that was the only version of SF2 i had.
DBZ Supersonic Warriors is sick! You should definitely play it. And there is Supersonic Warriors 2 on NDS, but I think the first one is better.
Hsu Sao was a general in mortal kombat deadly alliance or mk deception. I am not entirely sure..
It's crazy to think that Game boy Advance is a 32 bit game system.
A game that's 16 bit but pretty good is SNES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters. You should give that a try.
Why was there the number in gg
Android 18 got doom's hidden missiles
That digimom game got no burn 🤣
It still blows my mind to this day that Alpha 3 is on GBA to begin with
3:17 that's how I used to fight as a kid.
The GBA ports of ST and SFA3 were both...reasonable. Like, they weren't GREAT, but they weren't MK 🤣
That Gundam Seed fighting game was pretty bad, from what I recall 😅
You should find n64 fighters! I’m curious to see what you think of fighters destiny lol
Great video 👍🏼
Arcade Time Killers. Keep the eye-bleach handy.
The digimon Battle Spirit 2 and the Godzilla aren't bad games, those games are playable.
But, the best on that list are Dragon Ball supersonic warriors (if you can get the supersonic warriors 2 for DS, play that version), Sonic Battle and Street Fighters.
looks like something i played on gameboy. bout 3 polygons of shrek.
That 3v3 gba dbz game is better than fighterz
You should totally do arcade mode of that one dragon ball game and the gundam seed game. I'd like to see those.
Justin you should make a video where you review fast food
"LET'S GO JUSTIN"
Now i want him to play sonic battles
I use to own Sonic Battle and DBZ Super Sonic Warriors back in the day those were good times. That Digimon spirits game was hot trash fire though. I loved the GBA even though I got burned by some of its shovelware as a kid.
Oh you need to check out the Dragon Ball Z movie game on PSP, that shit looks bootleg af but has tech.
DBZ Supersonic Warriors was the TRUE successor to Legends. Loved that game
IMO Dragon Ball Z SSW and KoF EX2 are the best fighting games on the GBA gameplay wise.
Wait wait wasn't the gameboy around 8bits? O.o
These were GBA, not original GB
I remember playing and beaten Dragon Ball Taikestu and Sonic Battle I can agree Tails is too good but I also would say Knuckles is too good because both of them can fly non-stop.
The ps2 version of shrek super slam were fire
I played a lot of digimon battle spirit 2 that game was so fun and when you evolved the digimon It just became even more fun
AstroBoy: Omega Factor is probably my favorite GBA game.
Someone suggested you do a reaction video to Hi-Score Girl anime on Netflix. Do ittt!!!
I believe the life bars in KoF: ex are reversed to make it an X.
Yep, KOF EX1 sucks balls, and i really try to like it because of kinda being a portable 99 Evolution and having King, Geese and the NESTS characters as some cool little strikers, but it's just pretty bad, like the stiffest KOF ever and really slow. I know this videos a few months old but try dual blades on gba
Tekken Advance is surprisingly good.
Shrek Super slam actually has a community....but not the gba one.
Oh sonic battle I played it and finished it I really enjoyed story why not give sonic the fighters a chance since you played tails before
Bloodstorm and Time Killers are better. Play Bloodstorm and Time Killers.
Where is Tekken Advance??
any game with EX farts can’t be all bad 😂
Awww maaan! Vegeta tho.. I’m weak.
I used to love playing Sonic Battle
Sonic Battle & DBZ Supersonic Warriors were fun & decent
Finally playing some MK now all you need to play is some KI
