  • Bella Coola is a world-class fishing destination, especially for salmon. Austin and I have been coming here to fish and explore since 2013. In this episode we try out a bunch of fishing spots and hook into some big fish! We also go on a hike with an absolutely breathtaking view at the summit.
To check out the spoons we both hooked our fish with, go to our website, mustelidtackle.com!

Great information from a normal person not a guide trying to sell his product. Thanks

Enjoying your videos. Favorite snack is trail mix where the ratio is 99/1 m&ms over peanuts

Haha! Yeah, I have to admit the sweet bits are usually the best part! I especially love the fancy mixes that include special dried fruits (as opposed to just plain raisins), pralines, yogurt raisins, etc!

Fun Fact: This place is where Banner stayed at at the end of The Incredible Hulk.

True! They're good smoked as well. Unfortunately, return numbers have been diminishing rapidly in BC over the last few years and we haven't landed/retained any in quite a while.

What... hold it! I didn't know you had a youtube channel as well. Now you have 21 subscribers! How do you like it up there? How does it compare to other areas. How is the salmon fishing. Doesn't look like anyone else on the river?

Yes we just started our channel recently! I'm having lots of fun learning how to edit videos. We looove Bella Coola! It's amazingly beautiful, and there are never very many other people fishing. They get all types of salmon up there, including northern cohos (the big ones!)

@@AdventuresomeOtters Very nice. I wonder why not many people go fishing there. Maybe the fishing is not that great? Thanks for the info.

@@TheFishingDoctorsAdventures The fishing isn't bad, I think it has more to do with how remote it is. It's a long, tough drive for most people from our area. Austin and I are just from the fringe population who enjoys long road trips to out of the way locations!

@@AdventuresomeOtters yeah we were looking at maybe serving a destination vacation community. Not so much the road trippers. It is a long ways by road.

From Anahim Lake to the top of The Hill is about 40 mins, and The Hill itself takes about 20 mins to descend (you have to go very slowly because of its steepness and sharp turns).
