I want to start this by saying that I fully love what Mr. Beast is doing and I think it is wonderful.
With that said, let me offer a perspective as to why I believe it could potentially be problematic. Due to the limitations of my knowledge about the countries and communities the houses were built, I may be talking out of my ass.
I am unaware of the resources available should a house need to be fixed. Will Mr. Beast also provide the homes with resources when needed, and supplies to fix them? If not, I imagine that those that own houses would need to get them somewhere, which might cost money? Is the material that they need accessible or will they have to be imported? How will that affect the economy of the community/country? Will things need to be imported? Will global companies take advantage of the smaller communities in exchange for material to fix the homes? I imagine that Mr. Beast and his crew have thought about this.
I think it is great, and being able to sleep in a bed and myself having thousands of privileges that I can take advantage of, I don't mean to come off as a dick criticizing what he is doing - i am just trying to offer a way of thinking why some of his work might also cause issues.
I mean we don't know. But if these people could build their own homes I think they can fix small problems in a house. Also they got bikes so whatever work they may have are probably easier and quicker to get to and from. Will there may be problems he has also helped even more.
Well beast himself has said that the houses are free and i am certain that he paid the taxes as well. And even if he doesn't pay the electricity bills and water bills, i am sure these families are earning maybe not much but enough to feed their children and the houses could be of low prices but strong enough which also allows them to pay the bills.
You really do needs to do a Mr. Beast Philanthropy watch along with Talia. Would be funny seeing her just randomly cry at everything lol. I know that sounds kinda mad, but you all know what I mean xD Would make for some nice fun and wholesome content

One thing that's bothering me is can those wooden houses withstand the harsh tropical weather conditions in those countries, I am pretty sure this won't work in India and these South American countries have similar tropical weather

I did similar work in ElSalvador 30yrs ago. Yes the homes were structually safer.

Its a lot to type out on mobile, I can do an edit later when I have the time. Basically, its the doing of the US along with Xtian Churches and how they accomplished their atrocities against people living there, all while hiding behind a mask of friendly do-gooding.
This video solidified the gut feeling I had about Jimmy for a while now. I truly worry for the citizens ElSalvador and the families that he helped. It wont be long after he left the country that those families will learn that "free" in American english, means there are strings attached snd those strings come with violent abuse and future trauma.

imo, the thing about these type of videos is that they're all edited in the fast, low-attention span style that it makes it all feel disingenuous. that, and the fact that giving houses away isn't a one off thing. with a million trees you can just plant them where there's good sunlight and rain and it'll grow over time, but houses has taxes, bills, etc., that'll definitely come over time - and what happens then? i see most of mr beast's videos like oprah winfrey and her free cars gimmick - yeah it's nice, but there's a hidden underbelly that can do more harm than good over time.
