Hacksaw is such a happy dude that even when he tells a story about a fight he is in a good mood
Just watched the Matt Borne Dark Side of the Ring episode where Mick Foley mentioned you really have to go out of your way to have an issue with Jim Duggan as he is a kind person that gets on well with people.
The Borne and Duggan heat goes back probably 20 years prior than their 2010 match which was pretty shitty, but better than today's RAW.
I booked a better episode of raw this morning. It hit the toilet.
Anything is better than today's Raw.
That honestly feels like the epitome of a half-story!
Duggan is such a tool. He never sells and never puts anyone over. If you watch that indie match, Doink gets beat up for 5 minutes, finally hits Duggan with a low blow, and Duggan doesn't sell it. Doink finally gets pissed off and boots Duggan in the head. Don't blame Doink at all on that one. Duggan is such a pile of sh_t.
@@taekwondotime Borne had fights with half of the wrestlers in the wrestling business. He got fired for messing with underage girls and beat the hell out of his ex girlfriend, who was dating Duggan at the time
Borne was a pos.
I believe Duggan didn't want to air Bourne's dirty laundry. Bourne beat one of Duggan's exgirlfriend's really bad.

I just watched the match. Duggan seemed to shoot right after Borne low blowed him. My guess is the low blow actually connected and Duggan lost it.
He no sold the low blow then proceeded to get stiff with matt, and caught a boot to the face which was earned.

That’s how I saw it. Only thing I can think of is words exchanged between them. Just before Hacksaw no sells the low blow, Matt sells the 3 punch knock down with a big bump.
I remember watching on some other wrestler interviews that said although he is a super nice guy, Hacksaw is absolutely NOT a man you want to mess with, as he is fearless and will never back down. He was signed by the Atlanta Falcons, so he's obviously hell of an athlete too.
He missed the part about how he no sold the entire match.

the whole match, there was literally 8 punches thrown and 3 closelines lol. adn 4 of the punches were from borne early one. there was literally 2 minutes of action before the incident. i keep seeing people say he no sold the whole match or duggan was no selling as doing tried to make his comeback, lol. come on now. duggan wasnt whipping him up and down the ring because there was only 2 minutes of action before doink went nutty.
I wasn’t there, but I heard some fans jumped Duggan once and Bourne jumped in and went way too hard on the guys, one guy lost an eye, the guys sued, and it ultimately cost Duggan something in the neighbourhood of 30K. He disliked Bourne pretty hard since then.
I loved that match.. this goes way back vibes.. great for semi retired wrestlers
Hacksaw wasn't selling in the ring, the guy didn't want to go to the mat it seemed, Doink had enough. No selling is what usually causes the shoot match.
That's the price of kayfabe; i.e. if someone doesn't sell, you look like a pussy.
It's just like mprov comedy where they're trying to top each other, so it goes into giant screaming match--- just like on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" where they brag how it's "unscripted," but all every scene just thinks it's "hilarious" how they all end up screaming at the top of their voice like a chimp-fight.
What are you talking about. Hacksaw hit 2 crosslines and a couple of punches before Natt went crazy. Less than 2 minutes in the match. Sell what? He was only hit by a low blow and a kick to the head, neither was part of the match to sell

Did Matt Borne get on with anyone, ever?
Every shoot I've seen is him bad mouthing people or people bad mouthing him....seemed like a bitter dude.
He was a clown.
I have heard good things about him too-talented worker. Many have said he had the most perfect standing dropkick. He is also known to be a Legit toughguy. Not Haku-tough, but tough never the less

Borne apparently had some personality issues, possibly largely because of his notorious drug use.
Just watch the compilation video of him and you'll see what an incredibly gifted mat technician he was, though.
In many ways, he was an even better technical wrestler than the likes of Bret Hart.

I wish you would have asked him about his match with Balls Mahoney. Supposivley according to Balls, hacksaw no sold Ballsd bad at an Indy show and a fight almost broke out. Jersey Pro Wrestling maybe.

Hacksaw didn’t beat his ass, but he did get beat up other times. Something happened to his lip in a fight. I forget who did it.

from watching the match a couple times it looks to me as it started when matt was looking to set up the low blow which duggan no sold but maybe it was because it was a shoot low blow.....needless to say after duggan no sold that matt shot on him for a bit.
And Matt Borne isn't alive to tell his side of the story. Now that he's passed... the classy thing to do would've been for Duggan to not talk about it in my opinion. When I listen to Duggan telling his story... sounds like there's still beef... the beef isn't over. Get over it, make peace with the man. Whatever the other guy did... and it wasn't something difficult to get over... from years ago... And I saw the match in question... Hacksaw wasn't selling to Matt Borne...

I saw that match and the dialogue between jim and Bourne explained it all.plus Jim was wrestling sloppy and not selling moves even a low blow!
I think that Matt Borne was more lucid with his comments about the beef. This guy seems like he's trying to play it off.
Or maybe Duggan was just paranoid.... it's such a fine line.
