    Hey man, This video was a life saver! I had a misfire and a flashing engine light /traction control light come on a couple days ago in my 2014 Silverado. Pulled the code it was also E3001. I changed the spark plug and wire. Didn't help. Saw this video and changed the ignition coil for cylinder one. Fixed the problem. Thank you!

    I had scheduled an appointment to go to the shop. I'm pretty sure they would have replaced all the coils, all the spark plug wires and spark plugs. I'm out for less than $100. I owe you a beer...maybe 2

    Let me ask you something hopefully someone can help me in my truck it had the round coil packs just like in the video but autozone gave me all square ones is that normal or should i just go back to round ones? My truck still misfires occasionally?

    My experienced mechanic First replaced 1 coil and all the spark plugs and wires, per the scanner, did not fix problem, then he replaced 2 more coils, truck ran fine for 4 hours then problem returned again? He thinks computer may be the issue I don’t, wouldn’t the system tell us it is the computer. What should we do, change ALL the coils?

      I have a 14 with 40K on and it started missing like hell. # 2 & 4 plug wires were corroded to the point of breaking of at the coil when I touched them and the #4 coil was bad. GM puts dialectic grease on the plug end but not the coil end. Why I have no idea. The other six wires looked like new but if I change one I’m changing them all.
      Any one else?

      @@andrewjones9891 swap the coil from #2 to #4. If the problem moves to #2 it is the coil.

    • @sirdumbthicc4294
      @sirdumbthicc4294 4 роки тому +1

      Andrew Jones I had cylinder 4 misfire and in order to get a misfire you have to lose one or all 3 of fuel, spark and compression. So it can either be spark plug, spark plug wire, coil, fuel injector or lifter. The easiest and cheapest fix is to change spark plug, wire and coil (around $30-$40) if that doesn’t fix it it’s either fuel injector or lifter.

    Trash ass trucks, my 2000 silverado has 200,000 and its sooped up and has never needed the coil packs. BTW at my work those trucks always come in for service a/c burning oil, heating up etc. nothing small like a filter replacement and those trucks were bought brand new from the dealership
