My daughter is severly ill, she's almost 9 years old, she doesn't speak english, but she asked me to play this song on repeat before she fell asleep in my arms, smiling. I don't think you can imagine all the good you give to the world sir (sorry, my english isn't great, but I hope you'll get the sense of what I want to say). Thank you so much, hope you're doing great and you'll be even better soon, you deserve it

Lou (my daughter) is severly disabled, she doesn't understand English well enougth (we're French), but when she hears Ren's voice, she's like bewitched, she asks for more, when she'll understand the lyrics, I'm pretty sure she'll love him more

Dear Ren, having lost both my brothers in 5 months, and my sister on February 18th , my feelings have been stuck, just buried so deep, I could not, would not cry. For fear if I started, I would dissolve into the floor, I could only moan for a time. Today I listened to this and I wept. It just washed over me, and all the pain I'd been withholding began to leave my heart. I was able to tell them how much I loved them, and it all made sense, grief is just love with no place to go, until we unclench our hearts,and send it with them. I am so grateful I lived long enough to experience this gift named Ren.

It's 8.30 in the morning. I've just discovered Ren, about 10 minutes ago in fact; his Fatboy Slim remake. Followed by BitterSweet Symphony. Both of which are amazing, by the way, but I thought I knew what the artist was all about. But then........to discover the guy can do this, too........

Oh Ren, if only you could see how much I loved this. I grew up in Tennessee. To very southern parents. My parents loved Elvis more than you could imagine. My dad used to sing Elvis songs including this one (my favorite). They’ve both passed away. My husband also loves Elvis. So to hear you really sing this, how it should be…with such emotion.
I kinda can’t stop crying. Mostly in a good way. But I miss my parents. I miss my dad’s voice…

Absolutely! I was confused at first listening as I am so used to hearing it in 6/8. I love how taking it to 4/4 slows it down just a bit and makes it even more emotional.

I love your version of this classic Ren! Everything from the shakiness in your voice, the slight distortion in the strings, and raw emotion you generate, works flawlessly. This song has been covered millions of times, but this version has to be up there as one of, if not, my personal favourite.

Ren you always keep it real. All the great vocalists such as Jeff Buckley, Layne Staley, James Dewar and Chris Cornell all have this energy when they sing. You have the same pure energy. So refreshing in these times to listen to someone brave enough to let that energy out instead of relying on auto tune. I only listen to your music now as the journey you are on is so inspiring.
