Bike shorts under your dresses, it is a game changer. I have a similar uniform , tee shirt dress with bike shorts . You can find cotton bike shorts.

When you find the right dress it makes everything so simple! That one is the perfect silhouette for comfort, work, play, church, love it. I do fall into the “linen is scratchy” camp but I know in my head it will get softer over time. I’ve been seeking out more cotton myself, which means I had to finally break down and buy an iron because of the wrinkles. Thank you for sharing the decluttering as well! 💛

Hi, if you've taken this into account already, please disregard my words, but if you've only tried cheap linen so far I would still recommend trying more high quality linen if you can. I love linen and normally don't find it scratchy at all, but the couple pieces I've had from fast fashion brands have been SUPER scratchy! Any linen from Lithuania should be good!

If you want to salvage the too short dress, you could cut it off 2" or 3" from the bottom and add a contrasting band of fabric, then sew the bottom strip back on. Maybe add a little pocket in the contrasting fabric as well? I also love linen!

What about a wide floral lace trim? Great for hot weather as it's breathable.

Love it!! I hate polyester, love cotton dresses and want a year round wardrobe too. After I have my 5th baby in a in a few weeks I'll be on the hunt for new clothes that are nursing and postpartum friendly and maternity friendly. I wear maternity leggings even when I'm not pregnant I find them very comfortable and forgiving. It'll get really cold where I live. The leggings and a sweater work well. You could always wear a long sleeve under or over dress and use a hair tie to accentuate your waist.
Currently I have about five spaghetti strap dresses from Old Navy that I wear with 3/4 sleeve T-shirts on top of or under the dresses. It allows me to wear the same dresses in different ways

Lovely to see more videos from you again
Could you keep the short green dress and wear with tights/leggings in fall/when it gets cooler?

Over the years I've culled my wardrope down to a week's worth of clothing. And I love having less, it means when my style or weight change I don't feel guilty. I have less, wear it everyday week and then I'm happy to pass them along as I know they have been well used. I also like dresses below my knee as I've had an unfortunate encounter wirh the wind whilst I was holding my baby. 😮

Having less makes it easier for me. I had to get used to wearing linen. One thing with a year-long wardrobe is adding appropriate sweaters and leggings/tights to the dresses during the cold weather. Of course, that still means I am wearing my dresses all year, which I enjoy! Thank you for sharing this video. You have encouraged me to tighten down even more on my clothes.

So simple and nice I was planning to wear only dresses and just like you said put on your dress in the morning and wear it all day. BTW my favorite is also linnen. I live on a caribbean island where it is always very warm.

Try to rewash them and line dry them with all the water (soaking wet) sometimes fabrics give a little bit with the water weight and when they dry use the iron making some pressure down. Love your wardrobe!! The dress you’re wearing is my favorite ❤️

Can you sew an eyelet ruffle or flounce to lengthen the green dress that shrunk. You can add an eyelet detail to balance it out up top and make it look purposeful design. Kind of like old fashioned petticoats

I LOVE those dresses! And my goodness the lovely comments about how to salvage the shrunken one, possibly turning it into a tunic, are such great ideas! Bike shorts are a total game changer and don’t make me hot, (I live in the south, linen is king in my closet) but there’s also these “slip shorts” that I learned from another curated capsule content soul. That dress looks absolutely lovely on you! I love that it has pockets.

Love, love, love this idea. I'm a retired teacher living in a warm, Southern state. I can wear many dresses for 3/4 of the year with layers. I can't wait to go to linen. I'm going to be doing this soon. Have you done a winter post? Thanks so much!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve definitely been wanting to get into everyday breathable dresses for when I want to be a little more feminine. 💜 OMG I had a dress that was polyester and every time I wore it, it had a weird smell and I couldn’t figure it out. So I just got rid of it. Thank you for helping me figure it out lol

I really enjoyed how simple and functional your wardrobe is. When I find something that works for me I tend to wear the hack out of it 😅 The downside is that usually it's hard to find a duplicate, especially in a thrift shop.

I love this style of dress and the colors that you have chosen. It’s great that you have found the style that you absolutely love. I have been leaning towards purchasing a linen dress from quince. I just need to bite the bullet and do it. I also recently have been looking into purchasing leather shoes from Adelisa and Co. Is that the brand of boots that you are decluttering? If so are you only getting rid of because that are too big? Just wondering because I’m trying to decide of the quality is worth the price.

Well done with fine tuning your Summer Mom Wardrobe. I certainly wasn't that minimal when my 4 were little, but looking back, I know it would have made life so much simpler.
Question: Do you handwash one a day? I have memories of having to change more than once a day, especially when my twins were sick.

Hi! I really enjoyed your video, and your dresses are very nice. I reached out to Linen Sea, and she can customize the length of her dresses. I am 5’8 1/2”, so I would need a pretty long dress. I just thought you might want to know. You just send her a note with the order.

This was very inspiring. I also really enjoy linen dresses and I’m working on building my collection. I will e sewing them myself. I have the same cardigan and it is my ‘go to’ one for summer as it is light weight. It is a bit long on me but it is very challenging to try to find cardigans without any synthetics but are still light weight. Most cotton cardigans are so ‘chunky’/ heavy and not a nicer fine, open knit. I just keep searching.

1:05 Seriously linen doesn't show wet stains? I have always this problem in hot climate and I was thinking that linen shows wet stain, so I was avoiding dresses from linen. P.S. What size of this dress do you have on you?

Leather is a natural material and expands with use. If you buy real quality leather shoes they need to be a little tight. It's why you have to "walk in" leather shoes because they will get larger and form around your feet. So if you buy real leather shoes and they are comfortable immediately they will be too big later on. This is why leather shoes are a bad idea to thrift. You are better off investing once in a pricey pair that will last you years and will adapt to your own feet. Smells of sweat is because of bacteria. You can remove it, even in synthetic fibers, by adding an anti-bacterial/anti-fungal product in your wash. It is also recommended for your towels and bedsheets. It's interesting to see a minimal wardrobe even if it's not for me. Best wishes to you and your family.

Do you have any recommendations for the antibacterial/anti fungal product and that’s non toxic?

@@monicamontoya1578 I use a very local brand so you need to look what is available to you. But it's good to know that white vinegar is antibacterial in itself and there are people who use it instead of detergent. However vinegar is not suitable for certain types of fabrics especially ones that are a bit elastic/stretchy as it erodes it over time. But in a pinch and deluded it can help you out.
