I have been an extreme minimalist for 19 years (I’m 37). My mom is mentally ill and a hoarder. Home was difficult. Even though I don’t need help declutterring, videos like this help me heal my relationship with stuff. I really struggle making decisions. For example, I’ve had the perfect new fry pan picked out for 2 years but haven’t purchased it because I’m so afraid it’s the wrong choice. Thank you for making videos that show how to have less while still having a home that functions well.

I’m at the same point with purchases, I will go without for years in fear of making the wrong choice. It’s difficult.
Listen if you choose a something and feel it's wrong it's OK. Put it away for a while. If u feel its still wrong give it away. This made me very happy to see a friend smile with a new gift.
Lockdown taught me to have a separate comfort-oriented wardrobe for lounging around the house, and change when I have to step outside. It adds extra pieces but makes the capsule wardrobe last longer overall.
Love it! That’s why I didn’t count in my leggings and running shorts into my main capsule I have out all the time but it gives me clothes to get dirty, lounge or exercise! 😍 thanks so much for your comment!! It’s so true ❤️❤️

Here in the philippines,we could not limit our wardrobe.because it is a tropical country and we can’t resist changing our clothes from time to time because of the heat .we tend to sweat more.but i do love to have a capsule wardrobe though i cant do that now especially that i am working full time in the school.❤

♥ I love your point that the capsule wardrobe is meant to make your life easier, not harder and anxiety-inducing. Even though I removed nothing from my closet last summer, I basically rotated through the same 5 tops and 5 bottoms so that was an eye-opening realization.

This year i got rid off my later or in case clothes, i got rid of anything i dont truuuuly like in my closet and now i have all 4 seasons in my wardrobe. Im going to keep it like this, but may put winter stuff on the bottom of my pants, sweaters and jackets in one part, shorts and tee`s in the other. I may change it if i go into another space but for now its ok. Im not bringing in anytyhing new until im down to 50, then i will switch them when needed. Feels great.

Do you completely rotate your wardrobe in and out each season? I live in Montana...It can be 30° in the morning and 97° by late afternoon. No exaggeration 🤣 so I like to keep my whole wardrobe in view all year long. Almost all of my summer tops can be used for layering during any of the rest of the seasons, and I purchase intentionally to that end. My whole wardrobe is about 30 pieces. I am really enjoying your videos!
Aww I bet that’s beautiful out in Montana! So where I live it’s pretty warm now just some mornings it’s a bit chillin enough for a light jacket. So my sweaters and coat are in the spare room closet

@@minimalease no, but the company does provide a few shirts. ill need him to have capsule pants, shorts, shirts SEPARATE. Laundry is ADHD nightmare, lol. ill have to get him a garment rack.

I have my black running shorts but I’m not keeping those out with my main core capsule just for working in the garden or exercising. I find it helpful to have a main core group of clothing and those few extras go in a separate place for when the occasion arises ❤️🤗
