I wished Dany could renounce her claim to the North and granted Sansa their Independence, also she get pregnant from Jon and renounce her claim to the Iron Throne to Bran , i wished Dany and Sansa to get along and admire each other at the end , both are strong and survival, i wised Dany could see that everyone respect Sansa out of Love and admiration not by intimidation and dragons and she sees that Family is more important than Iron chair and power . D&D ruined what could be the best season in the history of TV .
Love Me I completely agree with you, Daenerys was my favourite character along with Sansa, I think Dany should’ve been the ruler not bran. Sansa and Daenerys were both strong rulers so their love hate relationship tore them apart, both fighting over Jon. I still think it is the best series to ever come, nothing will ever beat GoT, but it was completely ruined by the last seasons.
I loved both Dany and Sansa, so don’t worry, you’re not the only one.

Sansa had the best mentors. Cersei, Littlefinger, Tyrion, Margeary, Olenna
With Cersei, she learned how to play Petyr/Littlefinger via her femininity.
Then when Littlefinger had his turn, he taught her that lies weren't all that bad if it meant protecting oneself or many, and the gist of walking the political landscape by reading a person and knowing what a person wanted before they even said it.
Tyrion managed to teach her the art of seeing people for who they are and not by their family or stuff like that. Also the art of patience, she saw how badly Tyrion was treated by the entire Lannister family (with the exception of Jaime).
Margaery and Olenna taught Sansa that not every player in the game should be radical when making steps to go forward. It could be said that they taught her a combination of Cersei, Littlefinger, and Tyrion. But, one thing they also imparted to her was to make friends. Friends with power, of course.

And Ramsay. She learned a lot from that experience, and killed him with his own methods.

Such a missed opportunity, those two on the battlefield against each other and Sansa stomping Cersei into the ground.. with all due respect and admiration for Cersei surviving as well, I would have LIVED to see that.
YESYESYESYESYES!!!! This will forever haunt me. The fact they weren't able to meet each other before everything burned (not just before cersei died). The ending was too fast sjkdjddkdj cersei's death was never satisfying. I could already imagine her hating sansa but at the same time being proud and envious of her. Sansa got everything both Cersei and Dany wanted.
Sansa Stark is the real definition of character development. Maturity hit her hard.

In the first season, Sansa was a spoiled, whiny, ineffectual thing, a girl who just wanted to wear nice dresses and a shiny crown as she sat in a throne room worshiped for her beauty and basking in the glory of work largely done by others. She planned to do nothing more of lasting importance than make pretty stitches and lie back and think of Westeros as she popped out pretty princes and princesses. At the end of the show, Sansa was a spoiled, whiny, ineffectual thing sitting in a throne room wearing a nice dress with pretty stitches and a shiny crown being worshiped for her beauty and name as she basked in the glory others who had done the real working, fighting, and dying. Even her one action of having everybody bring the grain of the North to Winterfell for a stand was useless, as it was all over in one night and just had to be lugged back by a labor force that had just been decimated! She was, indeed, hit hard, but not by maturity, just the various and sundry tortures in the only and highly disgusting model of womanhood produced by the writing "talents" of Jerkinoff and Wuss!
Think about it; there wasn't a single lead or supporting female character on the show who wasn't subjected to some kind of violence and abuse, with nudity often a bonus factor in the bargain. I'm not such a prude that I get het up about a little sexposition, and I know all too well the perniciously pervasive violence women too frequently find themselves enduring even in our enlightened era, much less in the medieval times deconstructed into Westeros. Yet the resolute sameness of abuse upon abuse heaped onto female characters until there was finally some sort of reap-what-you-sow retaliation in kind against the abuser eventually started undermining the characterizations on screen and the entertainment value of the show as a whole. Even worse, women passing along that abuse to fellow females was also part of their stock in trade. (Brienne was really the only exception to that part of their formula, but even she was presented as a defender of women throu
gh the lens of the masculine codes of knights--and still got abused, of course, before refusing to pass the buck along.) The Sansa of the books is NOT the Sansa of the series, and the screen Sansa was anything but a well-developed character who somehow grew and matured. She was just one more little dove set up to take abuse by Jerkinoff and Wuss.

@@shataysianelson9414 I don't think Sansa betrayed Jon at all, Westeros is in turmoil, no one wants Danni as Queen, the north won't bow to anyone again and the legitimate rightful ruler is her cousin; a man who proved he could bring people together, isn't selfish, was born in Westeros and raised by one of the most respected man ( and family ) of the kingdom and knows the Northern ways. Sansa made the right decision to let Tyrion know of a better option for Westeros, and she didn't make that decision lightly.
Something more happened in the godswood which we were not privy to, something that made Arya decide to head south to kill Cersei; she was to stay at Winterfell to help Sansa . Sansa was worried for Jon and also Arya from what I saw of her on the wall of Winterfell.
People hated Tywin when he sanctioned the RW, but no one argues on his reason for it, let the war continue and tens of thousands die, or kill a few hundred and end the war.
Sansa is facing the same predicament, is it more noble to keep Jon's secret and allow tens thousands to die, or tell Tyrion that there is a better option and the possibility of avoiding a bloodbath.
I think Arya going to kill Cersei and Sansa telling Tyrion is tied to that godswood scene.
Danny just got to KL and Cersei first.
Too many of the Sansa compilations leave out one of the most chilling lines.

I feel like Sansa had the toughest journey. Her eventual crown wasn’t given to her on a silver plate. It was never in her cards to survive, non the less become ruler. She wasn’t born a heir, she didn’t have a claim on anything, she didn’t have dragons or was trained to become an assasain, she wasn’t the three eyed raven. She was just Sansa Stark. Nothing were in her favors, but SHE fought. I feel like everyone else were given some sort of kick-start into the game, some sort of advanges. Sansa wasn’t given that.
If you read the books, she is the reason Ned died in the first place. And in season 1 she was a total brat.

The look... I see in her eyes fear, despair and sadness, but also strenght and courage. In this moment she won beacause she was able to say this to person that killed her father.
I feel like everyone forgets that the very next scene, she looks at how high up the bridge is and then looks to Joff and starts walking towards him to push him off and murder him, and the only reason it didn't happen was because the Hound was there to stop her. No one talks about how in that moment, she was set on revenge.

And the red wedding happened bc Robb scorned the Frey alliance for true love. It’s an alliance they would’ve needed to pursue whether Sansa made it home or not. Her coming home wouldn’t change his nature, and he probably would’ve still went back on his deal with Walder for a woman he fell in love with.
Who would have thought that the little annoying girl who only wanted to be Joffrey’s queen would actually end up winning the Game of Thrones? yes, Bran might be king of the six kingdoms, but he is trapped in his mind, he never wanted to be king and the real power will lie within his council. Sansa on the other hand gets to rule her home, the people admire her and follow her. Literally all her enemies are dead, all her abusers, the people who manipulated her. She was underestimated by many, but she learned the game. One of the most beautiful character arcs ever

I was pleasantly surprised at her character development. She started off bratty and whiny (understandable since she was so young) but still. She became one of the most badass female characters in the show. She learned how to play the game. Thank god the writers didn't ruin her character

I like how in anyone character history, tyrion is a important character in that history.
I would like to point out that Sansa knew the Bolton’s would never let Rickon live, she knew that Cersei would never send her army to help fight the dead, and she knew that Daenerys would never surrender the North… even when men believed their lies. Sansa was well aware of who the enemies were and what they would do, regardless of their false claims.

They should have made her the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, with Winterfell as the new capital.
I though the same thing at first but now i‘m glad that she‘s „only“ the ruler of the north. She started as someone who wanted to escape her roots, and ended up returning, declared tge north‘s independence and ruled there. Her story was entirely about her realizing where her true home lies. It would have destroyed her arc a little bit to have her return to King‘s Landing, the place she hated so much.

Manuel Enrique the idea would be nice, but Winterfell would be anything but ideal as a capital. It’s not a city, it’s just a castle. The closest town is Wintertown with very few inhabitants, maybe a little over a thousand, compared to king’s landings half a million. Plus, it’s very far up north and the road up there is rough, it’s not well interconnected with other cities, it’s too rural to have a lot of commerce, and it‘s very far away from the sea. So in practical terms it wouldn‘t work at all, but the idea‘s nice!
@@marinamuller2385 That's true but I thought they were going to move the capital to Winterfell because King's Landing was destroyed and its population was decimated but it is true that geographically speaking, King's Landing's location fits the needs of a capital much better than Winterfell. Sansa was always my favorite character, I knew from the start she was gonna have so much development as a character. She had gone through so much and still manages to become the queen she always wanted to be, just not in the way she thought when she was young. I love Sansa and Margaery's relationship as well, I believe she really did care about what Sansa had gone through she wanted to avenge Sansa in a way I feel.

Last season, Sansa looked a little twofold. But I still think that she has traveled a long, difficult path and in the end achieved her goal. Sansa is a good example. We all make mistakes, which can sometimes be fatal to us or to our loved ones. This is why we must never stop our perception at a judgement. Sansa was pursuing a dream and finally found herself trapped. She was only a child with no one to defend or protect her. She is one of the characters who had the best evolution. I am very proud to say that she is one of my favourite. She survived the worst; rape, torture, humiliation, despair and disillusionment. To finally be the queen of the North.

Sansa was trained under all politically intelligent people through all season. She was trained for this. Cersei, Little Finger and Tyrion were like her mentors. Torture under Joeffry, her aunt and Bolton made her stronger and hide her emotions better. So her character arc had to end with her being in a political role or a Queen.
Arya was trained under all great warriors and adventurers. I guess I don't have to list out the names of them. And her character arc also ended with her being a warrior and adventurer.
These are the only two characters the show writers put their thought into. Rest characters they decided to end anyway.
The fact that she was someone I despised sm in the beginning and by the end of it she was one character I came to respect the most. Says a lot about character building

She’s such an interesting character. I see so much of myself in her. She’s complicated she tries to fool her mind into thinking what she wants when in reality she’s in denial. She’s complicated and beautifully written.

It’s funny the very thing people hated Sansa for when she was a little girl ( being innocent and trusting people outside of her family) is the same thing they now hate her for doing the opposite of (closing ranks around her family and the North and not trusting outsiders). When I feel down, I sometimes come back to watch this video. This reminds me that the downs in my life is just turning me into a stronger, braver, wiser woman. Thank you, Game of Thrones for giving us such a great character.
The arc of her character development leaves out a big reality check: her PTSD. Sure, in front of the other Houses and the faces of her kingdom she is an amazing badass. But within the privacy of her own room, she will live with flashbacks, nightmares, screaming fits, and a fear of becoming close to anyone ever again, even if she manages to marry a prince consort who is as genuinely loyal, loving, and non-aggressive as one could hope for, she would still never completely trust him.
She will likely become dependent upon drinking ale and taking that milk of (?) plant to help her sleep through the night regularly.
Maybe, but with Jon and Brienne she learned that she an trust again and that goes a long way in alleviating some of that.
@@pjfsr7024 Neither Jon nor Brienne stay by he side during her reign as Queen. She would need their constant presence by her side and consistent demonstrations of loyalty to her to consistently assure that there are good people out there she can trust.
@@harleyquinn5774 There are in real life people who suffered what Sansa did and did not suffer afterwards as much as you state; quite a few went on to have a good life; Sansa seems to have such fortitude.

She was such a innocent pure character then became strong. She was abused beaten yet managed to play silently quietly so well like a pawn she somehow played so well to became the queen inspite of the loss agony. Bravo girl
she wasnt innocent at all. she betrayed her own family for her beloved Joffrey two times, the first one happened in Winterfell that caused the death of one innocent child and her own pet wolf, the second one happened in KL where she informed Cersei about her father's plan to evacute the family back to the North. shes a c unt from the start.
