Equalizer, Simon and Simon too
Loved the 80's.
The 80`s had the best T.V shows. You didn`t even need cable.
Those were the days!
To much greed around now
Yes, but around here cable wasn't even very expensive, it was only $5 a month.
Best music too
Great time to be alive. Plus, the V TV series. Really miss the 80's & 90's. Remember when there was just one TV in the house? Even if you had more than one the best one was in the living room. It's over though.
Hapsmig, V the alien T.V. scifi series was awesome. Freddy Krueger was the loveable nerdy lizard man. Classic.
I kinda miss airwolf in this list
What's not to love about the 80's?
Happy to see Hill Street Blues👏👏😁😁👍👍was one of my favourites and missing Three's Company on this list👍🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
I remember most of them but my favorits shown here would be knight Rider and A team as well as Airwolf that wasn´t shown here. Another funny show from the 80s was ALF the alien.
I remember all of those wonderful shows.
KNIGHT RIDER , MERRIED WITH CHILDREN , THE A TEAM , and MOON LIGHTNING
And what about ALF?
God how I love Cheers.
Does anyone remember Simon and Simon, it could of made the list.
I remember Simon and Simon 1 of my favs with streethawk, manimal and automan
Airwolf, Ateam, Streethawk, Knightrider... Hello from Papua New Guinea!
The 80s had the best shows on tv
St. Elsewhere deserves a spot on this list.
Hi greetings from Portugal :) , Here we watched these shows to, and all people watched the same shows, because we had only two TV channesl that time :) . I loved also "V Final Battle" and "Captain Power and the soldiers of the Future".
I remember watching knots landing during the day 🙈 loved it!
Where is T.J. Hooker, Simon & Simon. The Fall Guy, The Greatest American Hero, Chips, Hardcastle & Mccormick & Riptide? In my opinion, Action, Adventure, Detective Shows ruled the 80's. And some shows on the list really belong on the 70's list.
WHAT?!!
H E L L O?!!!
Two Words--THREE'S COMPANY.
Man I love being a 80’s baby.
Knight rider, airwolf, miami vice, street hawk , a team 😍🙏🏽👍

5:05 Cheers
A lot of these shows I've never heard about. Moonlighting, Hill Street Blues and Remington Steele. Guess they weren't popular enough to make it to the Canadian television or at least in my region. I'd have Star Trek TNG before some of these. Of course, It is highly dependent on who is making the review since we all like different things.
1 The A Team
2 Macgyver
3 Knight Rider
4 Magnum PI
5 Jake And The Fatman
6 Miami Vice
7 Alf
8 Married With Children
9 Star Trek The Next Generation
10 Crime Story
My favourite 80s show is Moonlightning❤ so nostalgic and romantic😊
To me with out of doubt The A-Team ! My ALL time Favorite...!
My favorites on list Miami Vice , Hill Street Blues , Magnum PI , Mash , Cheers , Family Ties. Miami Vice and Hill Street Blues dared to be different.
Kind of felt like the list was a little all over the place had some classic shows like night rider and Macgyver loose to some show that we kind of forgot about and then kind of got it together again toward the end but I wish growing pains made it. Full house and family matters would have been good too.
No Diff’rent Strokes? This list is suspect
What's this list doing Willis?
Great video loved the 80's except for one day in 1988, October 16th 1988 is the day that my mom vassa past away in her sleep I was 16 years old and she was 38. But my favorites shows during the 80's would have been cheers, night Court, a-team, knight Rider and cartoon Wise I loved the g1 transformers series lol take care everyone
Sorry to hear about your mom, only 38...
May she rest in peace ,she was certainly a wonderful kind woman .
The Hawaii 5-0, The wild- wild west, The six million dollar man, The Street Hawke ....The Air wolf, The Heart to Heart, The Fall guy....The space 9999...The Star Track , The Invaders ........
Fall Guy was pretty good to.
Fall guy was the best
No Dallas or Star Trek: The Next Generation is absolute absurd.
Well I agree with The Dukes of Hazzard, Night Rider and the A Team. Mash is clearly a 70's show. I would add Air Wolf, V the series, and most importantly He-man and the Masters of the Universe, GIJoe a Great American Hero, The Transformers and Thundercats. The last four are probably the most fondly remembered shows of that decade!
Good list, with many of my favorites, but inexplicably missing many very popular and iconic TV shows, such as:
The Love Boat
Three’s Company
Dynasty
Dallas
ALF
St. Elsewhere
WKRP in Cincinnati
Picket Fences
Knots Landing
The Incredible Hulk
Quantum Leap (well, actually late 80s/early 90s, but it was a great show)
Maybe making a list of the top 40 shows of the 80s would be a better representation of what TV was all about during that decade and what people loved.
Beautiful. All my family was here then. Brings back a lot of great memories
Knots Landing was my favorite!
Don’t diss the Cosbys
Dallas, Dynasty, Knots Landing, Wiseguy?
Wait a minute Falcon Crest Dallas and Dynasty didn't make the list not even simon & simon knots landing or silver spoons starring rick Schroeder or St elsewhere which jumpstarted a young Denzel Washington Mark Harmon of NCIS William Dainels who also was the voice of KITT on Knight Rider Stephen Hurst from national lampoons animal House
You forgot Scarecrow & Mrs King. MacGyver is better than Magnum P.I., and Cheers at #1? Hmmm. I disagree.
Cheers well fucking deserves to be #1.
I think sitcoms and dramas should be separately ranked. Comparing them to each other is like comparing apples and oranges, IMO. (Personally, I'm much more familiar with the sitcoms than the dramas.)
Cheers was huge at the time but since then it didn't age very well.
The A team.
Hai!!! What happened to Dallas, LHOTP???
Airwolf
What show is that opening shot (0:05)? The cast looks like [left to right]: one of Tim Allen's "Home Improvement" kids, vaguely familiar woman, cheerleader Claire from "Heroes", Fred Savage from "Wonder Years", and Jefferson (Ted McGinley) from "Married With Children"...??
Where is the Cosby show. It was one of the most popular shows of the 80's.
The Dukes Of Hazzard, Moonlighting, Night Court, Knight Rider,The Golden Girls MacGyver were the ones I just LOVED watching.
MacGyver was a big favorite of Marge's sisters (Patty & Selma) on the Simpsons...
You forgot about airwolf, the great American hero, and murder she wrote
Somes are totally unknow in France.
What about Alf, Who's the boss, Full house ?
Gary Cole midnight caller can't forget that.
Benson , wise guy , falcon crest , the fall guy , ♥️💚🖤💖💛💗🧡💜❤️💙🇮🇪
#12. "I pitty the fool"
That pic at 2:23, they're wearing military officer uniforms(??) Were they supposed to all be ex-military when they formed the A-Team?
@@not-so-smartaleck8987 Vietnam War vets; the basic premise was they were accused of a military crime they didn't commit and were on the run from the U.S. government while being do-gooder mercenaries.
Although it’s hard to narrow down the top 10 shows of the 80s, some of those were suspicious. Definitely, one person’s personal opinion…not ratings or viewership. If those were apart, Full House (as cheesy as it was) would be on there; the Cosby Show; and Growing Pains. All I can say is DID I DO THAT?! How rude! You got it dude!
The black boy wellbuilt was the character of Rocky Movie.
Who's the boss?
I would also add Quantum Leap
No Hunter?
Hunter was awesome
Where's Hunter?
Grazie !!!
Who’s the boss, growing pains,Webster mr Belvedere. The good old days I was 6
Missing a few I must say myself
*Remington Steele made the list but The Cosby Show didn't? As a matter of fact, you didn't list a single series (with the slight exception of the A Team) where there was a minority lead.*
New hart and the golden girls do not belon on this lis but Silverspoons and Difrent Strokes does. Also one day at a time. It must of been an older person doing this list Taxi leaks over the 70s more than the eighties.how about the Jefersons it leaked into the 80s and it was a great show.
Newhart is way better than Silver Spoons (gag), and is also better than Diff'rent Strokes. Some of us were already adults in the 80s, with little to no use for those kid shows. One Day at a Time, maybe. I think of the Jeffersons as a 70s show. I wasn't crazy about Golden Girls, but apparently a lot of people liked it. Taxi had 1-1/2 seasons in the 70s (up to the middle of the second season), but 3-1/2 in the 80s, so it was mostly an 80s show. (By contrast, Wonder Years and Married with Children were mostly 90s shows.)
Funnily enough Golden girls and married with children. Two polar opposites in television then but I mostly caught the Simpsons with my sister as we were still quite young but our parents liked that E.R. type of show with David Morse.
I prefer the old Magnum
A=team
TJ Hooker
Dukes of Hazard
Knight Rider
Fall Guy
Surprised Dynasty or Dallas weren't mentioned.
Who's da boss Air wolf Dallas dynasty and V my all Time Favorites

where's "Dallas"?
Where´s Airwolf ? And Miami Vice is for me #1.
Mash was my favorite
WKRP in Cincinnati
70's start up on that, but it did play out through the 80's, 78 through 82 ... so yeah, I agree, great show.

BJ Mckay and best friend bear.......Automan.....misfits of science....Million dollar man......

We’re greatest American hero or x files 80s shows?
Aren't Mash and Taxi 1970s shows?
Simon and Simon
Dukes of Hazzard.
Married with children, airwolf
The first MWC pic included Jefferson (& Marcy), the second pic just the family (& dog)... I guess Steve (Marcy's first husband) didn't make the cut.
Married with Children wasnt 80s
